I've been here numerous times, mainly to see Paula she is my go-to. Today I needed a change and Paula was out. I was able to get a same day appointment with Daniel and I was so impressed. Absolutely love the way my hair came out. Everyone is so friendly here and the place is clean, warm, and inviting. If you're looking for a change, whether its for your hair, face, nail, skin, or whatever they can do it. Changes City Spa also offers specials and points if you download their app. Today I received a free oil for my hair along with 15% off. This place is worth it. Check them out.

I would highly recommend Alona For a spa pedicure! Yes it's more expensive (67.00) however it's worth it because they take sanitation extremely seriously. All nail files are brand new, everything is completely sanitized, they don't use drills etc. Alona takes the time And listens to exactly how you want your nails trimmed, cuticles trimmed etc.

Top notch service and friendly staff. Upstairs is the spa area with facial services and massages and waxing in a cell phone free zone. I've seen children getting hair cuts and having princess pedicures and regulars and event night hair styling. I've seen extensions and full coloring and some getting their nails done while the highlights process is going on as well. It is larger than you think inside than what you see in the storefront. I've been seeing Lolita, one of their more experienced stylists for over a decade and never considered straying. Pricing varies in experience of stylist and services you are looking for so ask for pricing upfront so no surprises at the end. Their company app promotes their new additions to the family with discounts on services and same day service discounts so keep notifications turned on. Currently for the holidays they are promoting Gift Card purchases (every $100 card gets $20 dollar extra spa bucks) to spend on what ever service you want through end of March). I buy them for myself... is that selfish? I don't think so. Lolita has seen me through boyfriends and then finding the one and getting married and buying my first home and promotions. A stylist that is not only very skilled at her services but is personable, friendly, and a genuinely kind person. It is my go to salon.. for massage, nails and hair... try them out and ask for a complimentary beverage and snacks as well while you process..

When I lived in Norfolk, I came here all the time for my eyebrows. It had been awhile, but this was the first place I thought of when planning for my best friend's bridal party. Erin was always so sweet on the phone through many changes in the number of the group and what services we wanted. We were given a private conference room to decorate set up our champagne and snacks. When a group of the stylists came in one by one to hand us glasses of champagne, we felt like VIP. We were taken into the pedi room shortly after and fell into heaven. At the end of it all, Erin brought us a little package with a small gift and picture she took of us. Little touches like this are enough to make the girls feel special. We've already talked about going back for any occasion we can come up with.

Being a Cali native myself, the name intrigued me. I later found out the owner is from Cali also…read moreand often travels to and from there to here. They prefer appointments, but will take walk-ins (be mindful that priority will always go to appointment clients) I wanted to do a walk in, but ended up setting a same day appointment, only 2 hours after I made the call, so it a doable wait time. I ate lunch and had a nap before coming in, so it was already leading up to a nice chill day. My stylist was an older lady, and she was very pleasant, quick nimble with the scissors and mostly styled my hair with just her hands (I have natural waves) and used very little product. And my hair turned out better than I expected. I basically got a wolf cut with soft layers. As we talked, I found out she's had a collective of over 30 years experience cutting hair both abroad and here In the states. I can really appreciate the service she gave along with her pleasant demeanor during the whole experience I had. My husband ended up going there to get his hair cut a few days later...and I was happy with what they did to his hair as well. Very clean and styled in a way that suits his face and head shape. Not just a cookie cutter hairstyle that looks the same on everyone. This one really flattered his specific look and personality. The only downside is parking on a busy day, the lot is small and right up near a busy street. So I understand why they encourage appointments, to keep the parking lot from being crowded. So it seems like they already put some consideration into setting up a good experience for their clientele. I look forward to visiting them again in the future for a color job I want to try. All I wanted this time around was a wash, cut and style and it was decently priced and professionally done in a relatively short amount of time. Always tip your stylist, especially if you can't stop smiling at what a great job they did. thanks for the amazing service!

I didn't leave an immediate review after my haircut because I wanted to take time and reflect…read morerather than write out of emotion. My hair has since grown back, and with clarity, I feel comfortable sharing my experience. I booked a haircut online for a listed price of $70. During booking, I shared a reference photo and explained in detail that my hair is very long and thick, and that I needed a stylist who would be patient and not rush the service. When I arrived, I re-showed the reference photo and reiterated what I wanted. Once I was in the chair, the stylist explained that she only has one hour per client. Despite this, the appointment felt rushed and disorganized. I know this because my service ran into her next client's scheduled time. That client waited for a period of time and ultimately canceled with her and worked with another stylist in the salon. While the stylist stated she only had one hour per client, my appointment ran well beyond that. My scheduled appointment time was 12:30 PM. I received a text at 11:43 AM asking if I wanted to come in early, and my receipt was sent to me at 2:13 PM. Even accounting for arriving early, this places my appointment at over two hours from start to finish--far longer than the one-hour window that was repeatedly referenced. I specifically asked for layered hair with shorter layers to help with the weight. Instead, I was given long layers, and my hair was thinned out without my consent ( as you can see the bottom portion of my hair is noticeably thin, compared to the top) . I didn't say anything at the time because the thinning had already been done and couldn't realistically be fixed. While my hair is healthy and grows back, the haircut I received was not the haircut I asked for. It wasn't "messed up," but it also wasn't what I requested. At checkout, the stylist leaned over and whispered to the receptionist, after which an additional $25 charge for thick/long hair was added. This charge was not discussed with me directly, despite my hair length and thickness being clearly disclosed before booking. After leaving a Google review outlining these concerns, the owner publicly accused me of never being a client and stated she stood by her stylist, without acknowledging the issues raised. Later that same night, I was contacted directly via text around 10:30 PM asking to "chat." That message was unsolicited and crossed a professional boundary, especially after publicly dismissing my experience. The outreach did not include an apology and felt more focused on protecting the business's image than addressing client concerns. I was polite throughout this entire process and even tipped my stylist. There was no malice on my end--just honest feedback. While my hair did grow back, not everyone is in that position, and an experience like this could be very upsetting for someone struggling with self-image. Ultimately, the lack of communication, consent, and professionalism--both during the service and afterward--is why I would not return and why I'm sharing this experience here for other women

Also, can we talk about the head massage she gave me during the shampoo? ‍‍She totally nailed my haircut, and I'm already counting down the days until my next appointment with her. It's on me for waiting the day before graduation to get a haircut but had I known it would be this bad I'd have done it myself. Booked online (the portal said an appointment was $17; I ended up paying $50). Showed up wanting nothing fancy, just a line up and a beard trim; I saw other reviews mentioning that certain of the staff were good with textured hair and so I went in optimistic. The woman who ultimately ended up cutting my hair did a horrible job. If Im the first black male whose hair she ever cut I would not be shocked. Lineup uneven. Patchy areas left along back of neck. A slight cut on my chin from the beard went uncleaned (I applied alcohol at home); I left covered in my own hair. Shortly thereafter ran into roommates on the street and they were shocked. The whole cut was about 15 minutes long, and as I said I ended up paying $50+tip (God knows why I left one; I will say she took the beard off so that's appreciated). My mention that I was a graduating student did not even warrant a congratulations. And now my hair looks worse than when I showed up. Thank God the gown comes with a cap.
