I was hesitant on coming here because of the reviews. I went out on the whim and gave it a chance since I live in the area. I usually drive to Johns Creek to get my acrylic nails and pedicures. But the drive is just not worth it anymore. Good thing I gave this place a shot. Got my pedicure with gel polish and I'm satisfied. The woman took her time, she got in the nooks and crannies of my toes. Only complaints I have are that she didn't massage my feet and the massaging chair didn't really do it's job. She just rubbed oil on my legs and that's it. Had she given me a massage, I would have given her a $20 tip versus the $10. I will definitely go back for future pedicures. read more

This is the nail shop that my husband and I frequent because of proximity to our normal errands and ambiance. However, the past few visits have each left me unsatisfied with the outcome. I get SNS nails, and there is too much variation in the skill level of the nail techs. Unfortunately, my best experience there was with a nail tech who typically works at a different location. Today's visit was definitely my last. I went back to get a nail fixed because one of my nails chipped (a first for me with SNS). After signing in, I waited an inordinate amount of time with no communication about the time frame I might have to wait. When someone finally came to fix my nail, his technique was too rough. He cut the side of my finger using nothing but the emery board (which also happened on a different finger with the tech who originally did these nails), and he left glue or something equally impossible to remove on my finger. The cashier gave me oil to try to remove it myself. When that didn't work, I was told that it should come off after I shower a few times. Needless to repeat, but I won't be back there...ever. read more

I had a mixed experience when visiting this salon last week. I'll start with the pros: Pros: I really like the location of this place. It is less than 5 minutes from my house close to all of the restaurants and stores on Mt. Zion. I also like the ambiance and decor of the place. It was decorated very nicely, and I can tell a lot of attention was paid to the structure/color/lighting etc. of the place. I was also serviced rather quickly, although the salon opened at 9:00 and I arrived a few minutes after. Cons: My nail technician was not personable at all. Despite his great English, he chose not to say hardly anything to me. I understand it may have been early for him, but a quick, "Hey, how are you?" would have sufficed for me. Secondly, my nails are NOT what I wanted. I asked for designs on two of my nails, and he informed me that the person who does designs is out on vacation. Ie. NO ONE ELSE IN THE SALON CAN DO DESIGNS. I don't understand how a nail technician cannot do a nail design when it's a part of the process. I waited another almost 20 minutes for my pedicure, which was OKAY. I've only been to this nail spa since living in the area. I've always get a pedicure from here and I like the selections that they have. However, I never had a basic pedicure. I've tried the hot rock pedicure (my fave) and the callous remover. (My new fave) for the callous treatment, your feet get soaked in hot oil that feels really nice. I went to get a pedicure and manicure at this location as I have several times before. There was a tall handsome guy doing my manicure and a shorter lady doing my pedicure. The lady started coughing uncontrollably so I put on my mask. She continued to cough through out the time of servicing me. They started talking among themselves. I noticed at one point she was redoing one of my toenails and asked what happened, which she did not explain. Later that evening I noticed that on my left hand and left foot they did not put the shine on one toenail and one finger nail. This was out of spite because I put on my mask. I refuse to go back after tipping them $5 each and spending $90. Totally unacceptable. They were in cahoots when this happened. I have a low immune system and I put the mask on in the beginning. The Good: Nice place. They have 31 pedicure chairs and a lot of nail stations. I'm sure they don't have that many techs tho I only seen about 10-12 there. I went in on a Friday after work so I got there around 7. I had Ann for my nails and she did good. I asked for short and she made them SUPER short so tell her what kind of short you want or she will make em real low lol. The atmosphere is wonderful. Nicely designed and very relaxing. Vicki did good eyebrows The Bad: they have a sign up front saying you get $3 off when you do a yelp google or Facebook check in. I told them I did it and the young guy came and told me I had to do all three and give a five star review. Well I put the five stars to get the money off until I left to say how I really feel. The $3 off is not even worth it y'all cause he kept coming back and forth and even had the nerve to tap his fingers on my phone without permission then he told me one of my reviews wasn't long enough. If I could give NO STARS I would! This was the WORST EXPERIENCE I've EVER had at a nail salon. When we walked in they asked what we were getting and we said pedicures. They sat us down and a tech filled my sister and my bowls but with cold water and walked away. So I'm sitting with my feet in cold water . I said the water is cold. A lady said I know. Another tech started to work on my sister. I was just sitting there. All of a sudden 2 of the techs started to argue. I sat there for 10 mins and decided I didn't want a pedicure anymore. It was too much going on for me. I went up and sat in front while my sister was getting her pedicure. The techs stoped arguing and things calmed down so I decided to go ahead and get a pedicure while I was there. I wanted a pedicure for Valentine's Day so I decided to tell them I want to go ahead. I should've stayed up front and waited on my sister because they stared to argue again. Two employees that were doing our pedicures argued the entire time my sister and I were there. Messed us both up. I actually have a 7 min video of them arguing. When I was done I sat for 15 mins to dry. When I got home this is what my feet looked like... Came back today 2/11/22 so they can fix this mess. When I told them my issue, they started to argue again! I can't make this up! The same lady attempted to redo her mistake but she was worse than the night before! Seriously! How is that possible? She simply did not care. She actually had an attitude. So I asked for a shop manager and they asked what the problem was. I showed them my feet and explained. A different lady came and painted on top of what the previous tech did making the coating look chunky of course smh. I was then told the shop manager would be in tomorrow if I want to come back. Lol I'll never return. And I'll tell everyone I can about my experience and to run from Chan And Bay nail spa. Save your coins and NEVER visit this establishment!! I've visited this location for years and they used to be really good, but now they're just like all the other nail salons. They rush and cut corners and they're overpriced, they also do not listen. As I'm writing this review the manager walks in. I tell him my experience and he proceeds to tell me that the woman who work for him are rude and not very nice. I agree with him. He then asks me what they were arguing about. Lol I'm like I have no clue as I'm not fluent in their language. Why does that matter anyway? I really like this nail salon. First of all, it is beautifully decorated and always clean. Second, I only let John do my manicure and he is awesome!! I love that he cleans under my nails. I will NOT return. I stopped by this nail shop because I drove by and looked inside and it was absolutely beautiful and well put together. I decided to try it last Sunday after I left the movie theater. I went in and was greeted immediately. I was asked what I wanted and I said mani and pedi. Y'all heard me right?? MANI AND PEDI! I want to make sure the Yelpers read what I said... so I needed to repeat it for emphasis sake. Picked my color and immediately sat and a young man started my pedicure. They had several pedicure types to choose from. I chose one with paraffin wax. Half way through my pedi, I realized that no one had started yet. They were not crowded at all and there was at least 2 people who did not have anyone to work on. I reminded the technician that I wanted a manicure. The guy in the front came over and said "Oh you wanted a manicure too?" UMMM... yes! I stated it when I walked in AND I wrote it on the sign in sheet. But okay, I digress. I simply said Yes! Another 30 minutes go by and still no one to work on my nails. WAIT! I have been here for an hour, not only has my manicure not started but my feet aren't done yet. HUH?!? So the guy started painting my toes and when he got to finishing my big toe, he messed it up not 1, not 2, but 4 times!!! He had to start over and paint 3 coats over on my big toe... FOUR TIMES!! I was agitated at this point. I didn't speak to management about it because the guy kept apologizing. I guess he was nervous. Long story short, I left the nail shop TWO hours after I arrived for a manicure and pedicure but only left with a pedicure. My manicure was never started. The service was discounted... but too late. This Nail Bar used to be an excellent place to come. This is my first time back since COVID began in 3/2020. I do not plan to come here again. It was the worst experience that I have ever had at a nail salon. The only two ladies in the Salon were very rude and disrespectful and began to argue between the two of them. She refused to do my nails because she wanted to do a new set on my nails when I tried to explain to her that my nails were only 3-4 weeks old and that a new set was not necessary. I asked for the Owner a couple times and the lady doing my pedicure said there was no Owner. Also, I asked for a basic pedicure and she charged me $45.00! When myself and another Customer arrived we were not greeted or asked what type of service we wanted. We both sat down and waited this lasted about 10 minutes. Walked in on a Saturday evening about 630pm for a mani/pedi. There were about 20 empty chairs so we thought cool beans no wait..WRONG...but let me not jump ahead. After waiting about 15 minutes we were seated for our pedicures. The water was nice and hot (which is always a plus) and I settled into my chair and turned on the massage. Time passes and my friend and I were busy chatting away until I noticed my water had cooled off and 30 min had passed. My friend asked the nail tech how much longer it would be and she was told "5 minutes", so we sat there another 10-15 minutes. It was around this time that a gentleman finally comes and starts on my friends pedi. I'm still waiting so I ask him to add some hot water in my foot soak as my water is now barely luke warm. He leans over and proceeds to run cold water...I say to him oh no that is cold...he acts as if he does not understand and continues running cold water. I pull my feet out & try to explain...another gentleman comes over, apologizes and he turns on the hot water and lets me know he will be doing my pedi. As all this is going on, my friend's pedicure continues. My guy sits down to finally start my service & within 3 minutes his last customer comes up and states she damaged the polish on one of her nails and asks if he can paint it again. He stops my pedi goes back to the manicure station and tends to her nail. There were at least 3 other nail professionals not providing services to customers. I have now been waiting well over an hour AND my friend is ruffly 10 min from completion but you stop my service which you just started to re-paint a customers nail ? I politely got up, put my shoes back on and was sitting at the front waiting on my friend before anyone even bothered to ask me what the issue was...I just smiled a d replied "poor customer service but I suppose that is why your low-key attempting to pay for positive reviews on YELP". I had to come and redo my post. I had been a faithful customer here since they opened. I always get SNS nails. The last time I was here, the technician put a gel polish coat on the top of my nails which was a first for me. Two days later, the gel was peeling off like crazy!! I went in to get my nails done over and was told that since it was "past the warranty" then I was responsible for paying all over again to get my nails redone. I questioned why I had to pay when it was THEIR fault for putting two different nail polish types on my nails. I received absolutely no assistance. Once, while there with my Daughter, the Host/Manager sat her down to be serviced and then overlooked me and sat other customers who walked in several minutes after they sat my Daughter. On another visit to this spa, the Nail Tech used some type of polish that never completely dried so my toe nails were ruined. Really cute salon. One of the older ladies used the drill to take my gel polish off about a month ago. My big toe hasn't been right since. I am so Sad. I had to wait a bit because I was a walk-in but the employees were very kind and made sure they apologized for the inconvenience. I'm not sure of the name of the man who did my nails but he was tall and slender. He did a great job! I absolutely love my nails. He did them in about 40 which is pretty fast to me.
