Went in knowing exactly what I needed. Two employees standing at entrance. No eye contact or greeting. In fact, the employees started talking to another individual who was coming into the store behind me. Walked directly to the shoe that I needed. Waited. Saw another employee helping someone at the register. Still no help...walked out and bought the shoes I wanted at Footlocker across the way. Where I was greeted upon entering the store. As I left the mall I noticed the same employees standing at the entrance of the store again, talking. Malls and brick and mortar stores are losing money quickly to online retailers. If we want to keep from having our malls shut down, we MUST take customer service seriously. Not only is this a problem economically, but further down the line, this becomes a larger social issue. Where are people going to work if there are no stores around servicing customers? Just a random thought from a random customer, but who am I. read more

Where do you start. ..three visible employees, one other customer, and I wait 5 minutes before even being acknowledged. When I told the guy that we needed my daughter's foot measured, he looked over my shoulder at her foot on the measuring tool from at least 10 feet away (we were already in the process of doing it ourselves because the employees were too busy socializing) and said that she was "about an eleven". I told him she was wearing an eleven and they were too small. He said, "Well you could go to a twelve or thirteen, we just don't have any half sizes. " I was puzzled...I can't wear shoes that are the wrong size, and he's guessing on a kid's size? So, looks like I'm going to try the guess and check method as well. ..I ask if i can see the two shoes that i was holding in a 12. He says, "ok, the K-swiss and the uh..." I stopped him. ..not even the right brand shoes that i was showing him. You have a few jobs at Champ's...knowing how to measure a foot and knowing the brand of shoes. ..two fails back to back. Why I hadn't walked out by then still puzzles me. He then brings out the two boxes, opens one, hands me one shoe and he's out. Excellent...what else would we have expected? I finished the rest of his job and proceeded to the counter to purchase the shoes and grabbed socks along the way. We waited for another 5 minutes to finally have someone come to the register. At this point, there were more people there, but the employees were no more attentive than before. The young lady asks me, "And who helped you today? " Seriously? No one. She asked who brought out the shoes, and I told her that I couldn't recall since he was out before I could get anything else. End of conversation, no offers for shoe cleaner, reward points,etc. Hey, at least their lack of interest was consistent! Customers service was terrible all around. I was getting shoe laces for a preschool project I have (I'm a teacher) and when I walked in two workers were standing around talking and laughing doing nothing really. The one guy who helped me was also helping another costumer. When I went to the register no one was there cause the one guy was helping someone. So I waited 5 mins knowing the two other workers were also there thinking they would come up and help me but they didn't at all. I got done and the one girl worker moved was laughing and talking to the guy up at the register who help me but wasn't doing anything at all. Laughing and on her phone. I gave 4 stars cause the guy was very nice and helped me and the other costumer. Very helpful at least when i went. A few days before christmas '17 me and my sister went in and there was one very helpful man working there. I bought my son a pair of shoes without him being with me and I bought the wrong shoes. The shoes he wanted were unavailable at Champs stores and Champssports.com. I did find another store online that the shoes were available-way more expensive of course. So I go into Champs at Sunrise Mall in Citrus Heights to return the wrong shoes for a refund. Angeline C. associate #00000710664 seemed so upset that I was doing a return instead of an exchange. She made me feel like I was doing something wrong. I was back to school shopping on Aug 8th 2018 purchased 2 pairs of shoes one was in stock and the second had to be ordered. My order still hasn't been recieved and I was told 3-5 business days was all it took to receive my order. It's been way past that time frame and I've called 3 times and keep being told my order is on it's way again 3-5 business days to go again. I was given a $10 dollar gift card to continue to shop with Champs. Not enough Champs I just want my money back and that's not happening. I will not be making anymore purchases with Champs or any other store that is affiliated with them in the future. I made another purchase from east bay to ensure my child had shoes in time for school. Not okay that they feel this is acceptable. Bunch of rude kids running the store with attitudes. No clue what happened to the old manager at this location because she used to be amazing . I buy shoes all the time from this store. Last week i spent $237 on 1 pair of jordan shoes at this store. I walk in today and was greeted by an associate by the name of Julio i ask nicely are there anymore red jordans that came out today. He says go ask her, i thought I heard wrong and kindly waited. 10 mins later I ask the same guy do they have any he says to me and points go ask her, then proceeds to say I don't get involved in that. Involved in what was my question he just looked at me. Walk to the register to ask "here she say they are all raffled off. Im guessing Julio can't day that. This was my most uncomfortable worst experience ever. I spend money here and that is rude. Its ok if the shoe is gone no big deal. No one should be treated that way. I've bought quite a bit of shoes from champs and usually the staff there is pleasant the ladies always on point ready to help with any questions. However my experience with the man with the kinda weird pony tail sticking up on the top of his head was rude. I didn't get his name because I was so frustrated but me and my friend went shopping for our other friends birthday yesterday I asked for a size 11 in the all white superstar adidas. He assumed they were for my friend I was currently with so he took them out the box sat them on the table to try to show or upscale us on shoe cleaner I've bought the cleaner countless times I'm a fan so I knew I didn't need any just a fresh pair of shoes as I observed them out the box I noticed dirt on the side and on the shell toe like it was worn plus the shoe lases were yellow looking. I Stayed opened mined thought maybe he's just new and showing us, NO not the case. When I told him no thank you on the cleaner just need the shoes and I'm ready he walked to the register to sell me those exact shoes. I asked wait your really going to sell me those shoes ? They are a dirty pair of shoes can you at least clean them up ? He said "nah" this is our only size 11" .....the box clearly said display...obviously I didn't buy them but if he hadn't taken them out and I caught a glimpse of them I would have just trusted that I got a CLEAN FRESH pair of shoes for my good friends birthday. Horrible customer service! I had to order a bunch of stuff and the guy who helped me, the name on the receipt says Michael, was super rude. I was the one ordering and paying for everything (a couple hundred dollars worth of stuff) and he kept speaking only to the person I was with. No eye contact to me at all, when I did ask something he did even acknowledge me. If I didn't actually need the items I would have definitely gone elsewhere! This place sucks! The Champs turned into chumps. I had a bad feeling that these guys were going to screw up my order. So after waiting a whole week for these damn shoes to come in, I finally went to go pick them up last Saturday. The clerk brings out the box, I open it and.....it's the wrong color....wtf? How does that even happen? I brought the EXACT shoe I wanted up to the clerk last week. It's not like I just verbally described it to him and something got lost in translation. The damn shoe I wanted to order was right in front of him!!! When I told them it was the wrong shoe, neither of them seemed surprised. They asked if I wanted to reorder, and that it would take probably three days. I was so disgusted though that I just asked for my money back. This is EXACTLY why I don't like paying for something before I actually acquire it. Seriously though, you have to work pretty hard to screw something so simple up so bad. So I ended up going all the way out to Arden to check out their Champs for my shoes. As you can tell, I was determined to get them that day. So I walk in there and find the shoe that I want, but it was still marked as $130, when they should be $89. So the guy checked the price, and sure enough they were marked incorrectly. Then he told me they only had size 10 and size 12. I told him I wear a size 10, and then he went in the back to check. He was back there for HELLA long before coming back and telling me he couldn't find it. He then asked another clerk to look, and she took even longer looking for it. By this time, I was done. My daughter sent me a Christmas list and some with pictures so I don't get it wrong....So I go to Champs in Sunrise Mall last week and they didn't have the shoes Nike Roshe, so the guy said he could order them...mind you I showed him the picture!! I went to pick them up yesterday 12/15/14 and Guess What, Yep they were WRONG! Very incompetent customer service! Ive never had such great customer service from any shoe store. Jala was a complete sweetheart and went above and beyond to help with my shoe needs. Even when she was helping other customers, she made sure to let us know we were not forgotten. (We came in twice and asked her to check multiple shoes) She was very patient and helpful. I bought a pair of shoes from champs in sunrise, i was helped by *the manager*, Bianca. I wore them in store, didn't wear them again, and went to return them 3 days after I bought them. I was told that I liked the shoes when I tried then on, I bought them, they're mine. I told her that I changed my mind, just as I have a right to do, and she said that the sole was dirty so she wouldn't return them. Mind you, I wore them when I tried them on, that's it! When I continued to calmly express my disappointment with her lack of customer service, I was told that if I didn't leave the store mall security would be called on me.
