Even if someone treated me less than expected I would never attempt to injure their business prospects with a nasty review. That alone says something about this individual. My problem that I have with the place the staff and the optometrist I saw are very cold. Not personable at all. There was one tech that was bubbly, happy and friendly. Didn't get to work with her.. The optometrist was very blah, zero personality and unwelcoming. I don't have to be friends with her.. but a little empathy and care goes a long way.

Chroma Optics is a true opthalmologist experience that provides accurate prescription and service. Called with an emergency (potential detached retina) during the day on a Friday and they told me that they never have anyone on call and could offer no advice on who else to see instead and I was on my own to call around to find another optometrist. A very nice communicative employee (I wish I knew the name) greeted us. There was an older gentleman also in the store and this employee was helping him. All of the sudden one of the optometrists jumps out from her exam room and yells, degrades, and humiliates the employee who greeted us . She said that the employee was rude to the older gentleman that was there. Her voice was loud and so demeaning. No way to treat any human. After the whole scene settled, the employee apologized to us for mean girl's behavior. My wife said to her that she could have taken her aside and quietly discussed any concerns. To that, mean girl said to my wife, "I don't give a f*ck what you think." I am so in shock that we were verbally attacked by an optometrist! The nice employee again defends her. She also said that the doctors don't work for Lens Crafters so it shouldn't be a reflection. Alan was both kind and knowledgeable and explained to me what each machine would be doing and what it was for. I typically have a bit of anxiety when I start going to a new doctor, but he kept me laughing and put my mind at ease. When I met with Dr. Franz, he also was amazing at explaining things and going over the scans of my eyes and answered all of my questions. Despite me being late, he didn't rush me out of my appointment and made sure that I scheduled follow-ups so that we could keep an eye on how some things were progressing. I definitely recommend making an appointment here for your eyecare needs, especially if, like me, thorough care puts your mind at ease.

That's when I learned that the key piece I needed to get my prescription glasses (the pupillary distance) they don't include that. So I call them up and everyone starts blaming each other. The people at the shop tell me to wait a day to to talk to the doctor, so I do. And when I finally talk to the doc, this guy is like Jekyll and Hyde. I mean he's cherry pie when you're getting the exam but after that, he wouldn't call you an ambulance if you were dying is his office. He's literally screaming at me on the phone saying, none of that's included. Do they tell you that beforehand? No. Only after. I've never felt so poor treated my a "professional."
