Over priced drinks. Bartenders were outside smoking and not taking orders. This place has gone down hill unless you are under age.

So I took one of the few seats left at the bar on a Tuesday night, and this really feels like the local neighborhood hang where people know each other. People of all kinds can feel welcome in there. They have drink specials every night, and I took advantage of several High Lifes. It was almost like I was living in the midwest again. I started with garlic parmesan wings. The menu said 6, but I got 8, all drums, which I had no problem with at all! Bleu cheese or ranch are added for free. One of the bigger wings had a little bit of pink though, that's not great. Then I had a Usinger's brat with peppers, onions on a toasted roll with a side of spicy mustard. Just 9 bucks. For my side, I got super thick onion rings with some horseradish sauce. Well worth the extra $2.75! The bartenders kept my water glass full. Even though the bar was quite packed, they seemed to do a very good job of keeping everything organized. It's a fun vibe for sure!

Came for Sunday Football and was met with lovely service and an amazing game day atmosphere…read more As a browns fan, finding bars in the area that play the game audio can be difficult. At Tobacco Road, browns fans meet in the dedicated Game room, a wonderful atmosphere and set up for football. Menu is expansive, although the wide variety of dishes may cause some selections to not be prepared with as much thought to the dish. I personally had the Durham Bulls burger, which was amazing and met my standards (you can't go wrong with freshly ground meat in house)! The highlight of my experience was our tender by a long mile. He alone tended to the entire room and was a very personable and detail oriented server. I would I would definitely recommend requesting to be in Evan's section if possible -- or come by for a browns game so you can watch with fellow fans!

For my boxes, I selected the Tobacco Road Club and the turkey sandwich. Neither sandwich arrived dressed (pesto mayo, honey mustard), nor did they put dressings on the side. To be clear, absolutely no one in my group received dressed sandwiches. Fortunately, we found some ranch in the office fridge to share, but even still, the club had no cheese so it was essentially just floppy, sad meats with white bread, and the turkey could not have been more bland if they tried. The side salads that came with them were mediocre at best, and the dressing was not great, either. Literally the only good thing I can say is that the chocolate chip cookies were tasty. I have to wonder if they even make those in house. I was not the one to place the order and I'm glad there was no money out of my pocket, but geesh, if they're going to offer boxed lunches, they could try to be a touch more inventive. Perhaps their other food or their ambiance is good, but I'll never know because you couldn't pay me to try them again after that sad food day.

Located across from NC State's campus, it's the kind of spot where locals, students, alumni, and first-time visitors all seem to blend together naturally. It's appearance in the baseball classic Bull Durham was my main draw to this place. And it adds another layer to its charm and history. What makes this place special isn't any one thing, it's everything. You can easily lose an entire afternoon here watching a game, having a few drinks, and talking with whoever happens to be sitting nearby. In a world full of polished sports bars and corporate concepts, Mitch's feels authentic, lived-in, and uniquely Raleigh. Exactly the kind of tavern every town wishes it had.

With its aged-brick facade and wonderful old-world decor, Mitch's could easily be mistaken for a historic tavern in Boston or Greenwich Village, but the institution has only been in business since 1974. Movie nerds will recognize Mitch's as the spot where Kevin Costner, Susan Sarandon and Tim Robbins meet for beers in the baseball comedy 'Bull Durham,' while Wolfpack alum will likely remember it as the spot where they celebrated dozens of basketball wins, birthday bashes and end-of-semester parties during their time at NC State. The beer list is strong, the service terrific and the food delicious -- especially the famous Reuben sandwich. So drop by, grab a table, and enjoy one of the best pub experiences North Carolina has to offer.

The service was not so friendly, the atmosphere was welcoming though, and it was the perfect place to end the night. Service was the only issue, not great so 4 stars but easily a 5 star pick. It's great to have a reliable late-night option with good food and a relaxed "more chill" vibe. Definitely a place I'd come back to again!

I came here myself at about 1130 and was told that you either order at the counter before you sit down or you order at the bar went up to the barn and waited a little bit with never asked my order or drink so then went up to the counter and ordered everything I needed. The guy at the front was a Mexican boy and he was awesome gave great customer service and let me know about a lunch special that they had since I was ordering pizza and wings anyway. Even though I ordered off the counter, I still had to go to the bar and ask for my drinks once I got the drinks as you seen in the picture I was given hot sweet tea with barely any ice. I asked for it to go cup of just ice when the food came out it was great delivered to the table by the kitchen staff pictured. These wings are a decent size and pizza slices were big ny sized as stated. I wouldn't say this tasted like ny pizza but it def has potential and would like to order a whole pie instead of just slices next time. Over all it's a bar guys took lots of pics so you can see for yourself. I wouldn't drive out of my way for the service or food but if I was in the area a quick slice would do good!

Hot honey chicken sandwich is a generous portion but boy is it a sticky-delicious mess! Cucumber/tomato/feta side was refreshing, too. I don't think they clean their grill regularly , there have been multiple instances where the burger came out burnt with grill residue on it. The order came out with bread soaked in oil, soggy fries and chicken tenders, and no chipotle sauce. They took at back to fix it. Came back out with again no chipotle sauce, soggy fries and tenders. I'm highly disappointed in deteriorating quality of food and service. I used to go there atleast once a week. I don't think i will ever go back!!
