We recently had our 25+ year old AC and Heating System replaced by this company. I can't say enough positive things about this. Our home was just never cold enough ( this is our 3rd summer here) and our electric bills were horrendous. The company is owned by a local kid who grew up here in the valley named Steve Teran. He gave us a quote, five or $6000 below the other multiple quotes we received and completed the job in one day, returning the next morning just to do a small amount of cleanup and make sure everything was working 100%. Love this company! Had a problem during the rain with a roof leak. Called Champion and sent pictures to them. Even though it is not clear if the seal of the HVAC unit is the problem, they came right out. inspected and crawled in the attic to observe any potential culprit for the leak. For added protection they re- sealed the area around the HVAC as well as additional suspicious spots unrelated. They went above and beyond. I have experienced this same service with EVERY visit and have used them on two properties. I can't even give Champion any stars but I had to put 1 to post this review. The service is absolutely horrible! Actually 1 Star is doing them a favor. I'm renting an AirBnb and the AC has broken twice. It's still under warranty with the owner. I agreed to be in contact with Champion to make the appointment and be here if they came to fix the ac. They came on a Thursday and said they would call me Friday before returning. Never called. They never call me back unless I call them 4 to 5 times to complain. I understand we are in a heat wave. However I use a different ac company for my own property and I can tell you they would never leave me hanging even in a heat wave . I can't understand how this company remains in business. An important aspect of HVAC is scheduling , follow up and communication with their clients. Champion has none of this. I will say that their techs that came here were pleasant and seemed knowledgeable. My complaints are not about the actual work done. read more

From the honest and fair pricing to the quality of work by far out did what I expected.. we had a water leak a couple years ago on the platform in the garage holding the original ac units and water heater which damaged the platform.. We asked the guys replace the old out dated ac units and to get the platform box working properly again.. Not expecting, these guys tore the entire platform down to the studs, re-constructed the box back up, sealed and insulated the inside and it came out better then perfect (didn't even know that was possible). Again their work speaks for itself and these pictures do no justice. When Mike and Steve came out their was no games or BS with them trying to up-sale anything like every other AC company I've dealt with.. their install crews took care of my house, were extremely clean thought the entire process, were very professional and it was obvious that they take pride in their work as it showed.. Shouldn't have had to write this negative review. They came by and serviced my two ACs, no problem. But they didn't have the right sized filters to replace my old ones. The technician Ramon said he'd be back and put in the filters. A week went by, I had to contact them to remind them. I was given an appointment time, and they were very late then had to cancel. I was given a second appointment time for the next day, 4 pm. I was sent a text at noon, saying Ramon would not be coming at the scheduled time but rather would leave two filters at my door. I'm 72 years old and had to climb a ladder to replace the filters myself. Thanks a lot Champion. You start a job, you should see it to completion. read more

Amazing crew with the best customer service experience! We recently had 2 room splitters installed and had our home HVAC system serviced. They arrived on time, the job was done same day without any issues. We had 2 other quotes and went with champion for a better system at a lower price. Mike is absolutely dedicated to ensure that all work is completed perfectly and cares about his customers. His crew worked diligently with a focus on making sure we were happy, the site was clean and the systems were running exactly as expected. We also had Edgar out to do our summer PM on our HVAC system. He was able to identify a few minor issues that the prior company had missed. Champion HVAC did an excellent job at our home in Palm Desert. I researched 5 companies and hired Champion . Octavio Garza-Comfort Specialist followed up consistently. His communication was superb. He responded to calls and texts immediately every day of the week. They accepted my negotiated price which was a very good value for the service provided,10 yr warranties and maintenance including a well rated AC unit. We had the entire system replaced as well as duct work. The project began immediately after we signed a contract. Octavio sent us over 35 photos including videos as the work was being done. This was especially helpful as we are out of town owners. I feel very confident with the final product. I recently drove into town for business and Octavio made it a point to meet me in person. The company offers % interest financing through Wells Fargo. I highly recommend this company and Octavio as your consultant. Mike, you told me before purchase that there would be two maintenance inspections during each of the two labor warranty years. I was never told that I had to schedule the inspections and I never received a reminder from your office. The last inspection should have occurred in October 2022 before the end of the warranty period on November 1, 2022. Low refrigerant would have been detected during that inspection and the the pin hole leak in the condenser would have been discovered. I had no choice but to pay the $868 for the pressure test. I told the tech that I did not agree with the charge but I needed heat. Consumers should be careful when doing business with Champion HVAC. read more

Michael exceeded all expectations on a complete A/C revamp in Cathedral City! First, I should note that Champion HVAC were the only company to fully review the existing A/C system by going in the attic and meticulously inspect every part of the system. When they gave me an estimate it was comprehensive whereas other companies merely eyeballed the unit and threw a dollar estimate at it. Champion was proficient in every aspect of the job. They did the entire A/C revamp in 24 hours including a new and efficient 5 ton unit, and cut the walls to fix the original flaw in the design which resulted in overly loud system. I could not be happier with the outcome. The A/C is not only more powerful and up to date with the regulations, but it was installed in record time, and included nice touches to make sure it runs quietly. Champion provided extra bonus services such as filter cleaning and parts warranty. To top it off Michael estimate was very competitive and charged me less than quoted! Thank you! read more

My AC quit working without warning and my house was warming up quickly. I was not having any success on getting service before 4 days out! I noticed great reviews for Champion HVAC and the office was close, so I called and a real person answered. He said a technician would call me soon. Within minutes Mike called, and said he would be by my house within the hour. I was so relieved. He diagnosed the problem immediately which turned out to be a bad thermostat. Within minutes the AC was working and starting to cool the house. He checked all the equipment and went over each unit with me as to function and condition. Mike was knowledgable and efficient. I was so grateful for his immediate response! Such a good experience which is rare and unexpected under the circumstances with temps above 100 degrees! Not from Pittsburgh but Palm Desert. Mike and the crew at Champion HVAC are champs! Absolutely great crew to work with and the pride they take in their work shows. We replaced our old HVAC system in conjunction with replacing our roof and installing solar. The main house had a huge old 5-Ton unit on the roof that did not effectively heat or cool the house (no zones: 2 rooms boiling, 2 rooms freezing). The two casitas had no real systems to speak of. I had a more "established" HVAC company (read: one that advertises on tv) out first to assess what we needed and give an estimate. What a joke. The salesman walked around, made a few rule of thumb guesses and wrote out an estimate sitting in our living room. His solution when I would not go for his initial suggestion of simply replacing the 5-Ton unit was to put a mini-split in EVERY ROOM in the house (total: 6 or 7). Really? Mike came out and spent a good deal of time familiarizing himself with our home's layout. We wound up with 2 mini-splits, 3 cassettes and 1-side vent unit. This doesn't necessarily mean anything to you but the outcome is 3 zones in the main house with the least intrusive units you can imagine. The side-vent unit utilizes new ducting to existing vents, which is such an elegant solution you'd have to see it to fully appreciate it. The 2 cassettes in the living-dining area and 1 in one of the casitas conform unobtrusively to the ceiling profiles. And the 2 mini-splits are equally out of sight/out of mind. All of this work was coordinated with the roofing company (Castro) and, to a lesser extent, the solar company (ZSolar). We could not be happier with the results and I'm saying this to you, nine months after installation. The units keep us comfortable when it's cool out and especially when it's HOT out! The guys have been out to service the units and their attitude each time they visit is simply that they can't do enough for us. They want everything to be right. And it IS. This is a locally owned company with hard working, service oriented, genuinely caring, young entrepreneurs running the show and it was, and continues to be, an absolute pleasure working with Champion HVAC. I recommend them wholeheartedly without reservation. read more

Champion HVAC installed a Mitsubishi mini-split heater/Ac unit in our garage this morning. They had installed our main house HVAC system a year and a half ago. I have been most impressed with all of the folks I've worked with at this company. From the office staff to Mike who is one of the owners, to Joel who has come to our aid a couple of times. Always courteous and polite. The sales rep Octavio has not steered us wrong and actually saved us some money compared to the other bids we received. Today it was Vince and David installing and they were MOST efficient and personable. They remembered being here installing before so we had a little to reminisce about. The first company tried to sell me another system at a lower price for the same equipment which I thought was a great deal. Champion HVAC recently installed a new Coleman Furnace with a WiFi Thermostat in my mobile home in Thousand Palms, CA. Justin and his team did an excellent job on the installation. They also insulated the closet to make for a quieter running unit. Part of the project was also to remove an old evap cooler and duct lines and seal up the system under the home. They did all of this in 112 degree weather. They also rerouted the gas line to ensure compliance to all installation codes. Very pleased with the quality of work. I've had issues with other A/C companies, but these gentlemen got the job done immediately (and I was sweltering and suddenly realized good A/C service people are as important as law enforcement and paramedics in keeping us alive and sane in 115 degree heat). Their prices were reasonable, their attitude and attention to detail was outstanding, and they were just nice guys. I predict they will be a major force in this industry in the Coachella Valley in the coming years, which has to be nice for their wives and family because clearly they each presently work all hours during the summer months, and a force of qualified service people will allow them to send someone else at 7:00 p.m. next year! I am usually suspicious of businesses with 5-star ratings. But, there is no lesser rating that I can imagine for Champion HVAC. My AC unit was blowing cold for 15 minutes then cycled to room temperature. I had to turn it off for a few hours, then when reactivated, it would blow cold again but again only for 15 minutes. Two competitors came on site with their monitoring devices and told this homeowner that a new compressor was what I needed. Champion allowed me to view the data and explained what the values meant and how the information led to determining that it was a compressor fan motor that was causing the problem, not an expensive compressor. The replacement motor was stocked on the truck and installed on the spot..... My first call through to the end of the repair project was handled with attentive courtesy. I am not a professional technician, however, electromechanical experience helped me recognize that Champion HVAC was HONEST and very professional with free flowing detailed information that allowed this customer to make informed decisions. I experienced on-time arrivals, neat and clean work all at a very fair price with no sell up tactics. My experience has proven central air-conditioning systems are both a necessity and a luxury that have to be well maintained in order to provide a home maximum comfort at the lowest possible price.
