Helpful and thorough. Thanks! Phill is helping me press and clean some comics books and it is great to have a local option.

Huge comic book selection. Steep prices for trading card games (TCGs)…read more It's a comic shop, I get it. But $50 for a Pokémon stacking tin (MSRP: $15), over $20 per pack for the popular Pokémon sets (MSRP: $6), this ain't it. I get that PTCG is hot right now, but I'd rather an LGS price at/closer to MSRP and be sold out than to mark up beyond "market price" just to keep it stocked. The glass case includes raw and graded singles, and I like that the prices are clearly marked (unlike Legends, where you have to ask for prices), but again I feel like it's higher than market prices. I appreciate that they have boxes of MtG bulk and Pokémon bulk ($0.25 each, or 5/$1), probably some good finds in there if you have the time to look through it. Big range on prices for supplies. $3 for a one-touch case or basic deck box, but $5 for penny sleeves. They run some pricing specials (currently all books: Buy 2, Get 1 For $1), which is cool. Right now they're doing 75% off all board games (!)... but the board game selection is really small. Customer service seems fine; they'll happily answer questions without hounding you. I'm glad the shop is still around, but unless the PTCG prices come down, I guess it's just not for me.

What an absolute wonderful shop! We're saw our kids don't get to grow up with memories of visiting…read morethe toys r us, but Ana and the team here at Illusive Comic & Games are just the best! This place transports you to all the various fandoms. It's easy for my kids to get lost in the many aisles of comic books and graphic novels. Today they featured a young photographer who was showcasing his incredible talents! We were thrilled to meet the photographer and even had the opportunity to purchase one of his prints! Love this shop and how they make it so easy to support small business!

You can never be too safe. You're greeted at the door and someone's always there to say hi and or help you for whatever you're looking for. I usually head straight to the back since that's where the comics are. Once done, I head to the left side of the store where there's someone ready to bag and board your comics for you. I just signed up for their membership and not sure what it entails but since I go so often, made sense to get it. They have a beautiful selection of comics for the right price and you won't have to question if it's above MSRP. It's pretty convenient to visit if you're checking out the rest of the plaza.

My wife and I road trip across California at least twice a year, stopping at every local bookstore…read morewe come across along the way. After visiting dozens across the state, we know a great bookstore when we see one. Leigh's Favorite Books is hands down one of the best we've ever been to. The store has a fantastic selection of books and is very well organized, which makes browsing easy and enjoyable. I always love seeing staff picks in bookstores, and this place had plenty across a great variety of genres. They also offer a book buyback program for store credit, which is a fantastic option for readers who prefer to keep their shelves from overflowing. They also carry used books at discounted prices. I personally love used books because they have character, and the bindings are already nicely broken in, which makes them even easier to read. Leigh's Favorite Books also earns our unofficial award for the best non-book inventory of any bookstore in California. Most shops carry the usual boring gift-store items, but this place had a genuinely fun and unique selection. They had such a fun assortment of random items that we wanted to purchase just about everything they had lol. The service from Becky was exceptional. When I mentioned that I read across many genres and especially enjoy biographies, she personally recommended one and even wrote the title down on a sticky note for me. When we talked about our road trips visiting bookstores, she also suggested a trip to Vermont, where you can get a bookstore passport stamped along the way. She was incredibly friendly and great to talk with. We can't wait to come back and pick up more books.

Buddha statues and figurines, tarot cards and oracle decks, zen gardens, wishing activity kits, art supplies and coloring books focused on self-care, rainbow candles, clothing, kitchenware, and dragon and unicorn themed products. A therapeutic setting, with alluring decor and even a beautiful fountain sculpture near the back. I purchased a gratitude tree and zen gong before leaving, and service was fast and friendly. A great experience overall.

This is literally my favorite store in the Bay Area! The moment you step in, it feels calm,…read morepeaceful, and full of good energy. Trust me, the vibes are heavenly. You'll often meet spiritual and like-minded people here. And yes--they actually have a small indoor waterfall where you can sit and meditate. It's beautiful. The staff will pray for you if you write it on a piece of paper. As a Nepalese person, it makes me really happy to find spiritual Nepali items here. The statues are affordable, and I've picked up some lovely crystals and bracelets. Since it's in downtown, some crystal pieces can feel a bit pricey--but overall, the selection is worth it. They have huge crystals. They have paintings at the end of the shop. You can also find sale items near the shelves there. I've bought so much from them over time--oracle cards, books, journals, incense sticks, candles, crystal jewelry--you name it. I've never regretted a single purchase. They also have a second-hand book section with great finds at lower prices, and they often put sale items on display outside. FYI - dogs are allowed!!
