    Redondo/Torrance Champ Camp :-)
    Stephanie P.

I sent my twin girls here and they had a blast. We originally signed them up for one week at the Redondo/Torrance location and they ended up going to two more consecutive weeks after their initial first week. The camp counselors are amazing. i felt completely at ease dropping them off everyday. They were at first hesitant about the water but by the first day they were picked up wet and sandy and happy. They made loads of friends and was super excited to go back then next day. I will definitely be sending them back next summer!

Coralie and Team Champ Camp. Champ Camp is like her second Summer family. She can't wait to be a counselor one day!

Champ Camp never fails to amaze me year after year. My daughter has been going for years and as the company grows their attention to their values is only maintained. I always know she is in the best hands. I remember thinking, "How will be happy on the beach ALL day?" Well, not only is she throughly entertained she is fired up with excitement and full of stories about the friends she met and the counselors she chatted with. Champ Camp only hires the kindest counselors that clearly love what they do and the kids they work with. Thank you Champ Camp for being a second summer family to our daughter! With your help I got to finish some important goals this year knowing she was safe and sound and having a ball! See you next year...

Gus thinks this group is the best ever!

This organization puts on fantastic camps. Gus has attended skateboard camp and beach camp. He loved them so much.

She shared some history and tips about MB I never would have known on my own. My bf and I were able to bring our dog, which was a huge plus. The town is dog friendly to begin with, so 6 out of the 7 places we stopped at we could bring our fur baby. Each stop, we ate something unique. By stop 4 I was stuffed, but the food was too good I couldn't stop eating. There was a wine tasting which was a great addition. I would definitely do this again and bring colleagues, friends or out-of-towners!

Lauren and Amanda were our tour guides and from start to finish they blew us away with their knowledge of the city and the various eateries. Though this is primarily a food tour, I was very impressed with the time they also took to explain various unique spots throughout the city. From small shops to murals to writings on walls and the ground, they pointed it out and had unique tidbits about them. I could really tell that these ladies took their time to research to make sure this tour was exceptional and exceptional it truly was. I'm from the South Bay but I learned so much on this tour that I didn't know before! I also loved that they chose a variety of different restaurants. It was a very diverse offering and I thought this too was a great way to showcase the city. They really chose some family owned restaurants as well as restaurants that have a lot of history to the city. Everything we tried too was excellent. At the end they asked what our favorite was and I couldn't pick. Chicken wings, tacos, ice cream sandwiches...ahh I loved it all! I even loved some mahi sliders we got to try (and mind you I don't eat seafood but I made an exception for this tour because I trusted Lauren and Amanda's expertise and taste. I'm so glad I did because the sliders were delicious! Yes, if a tour can get me to eat seafood ...then it must be a good tour ;). I definitely would recommend this tour to both locals and visitors. You'll be sure to learn many things as well as get to eat some of the best cuisine in town.

Paul is extremely patient and encouraging and is focused on teaching proper form and developing good habits, while making sure my son enjoys the sport and is meeting his personal goals. My son has improved dramatically, not only by gaining more technical skills, but also by gaining confidence in his abilities. South Bay Archery was also extremely generous and accommodating over the holidays, as our family was searching for a fun activity to do on New Year's eve with some friends. We booked a private party with Coach Paul and Coach Lani and everyone had a wonderful time! They made sure all 9 participants learned proper safety protocols, and taught our group how to shoot since some of us had no prior experience. They kept a good pace, explaining the challenges of shooting from further distances, and made things extra fun by creating a competition at the end, with the winner getting a prize! After that we relaxed and ate in the party room upstairs, which overlooked the shooting area. We all had a GREAT TIME! I encourage anyone looking for a fun group activity to check out South Bay Archery Lessons! I can't say enough about the kind, warm and engaging nature of both Coach Paul and Coach Lani, as well as the exceptional care and professionalism they put into all they do! We are looking forward to learning more archery skills and sharing fun times with South Bay Archery Lessons!

I was more than pleasantly surprised! Out of the three places we'd visited I'd only previously been to one of them. It was great being able to just sit down and take in a nice snapshot of each place while enjoying a delicious beverage. Each drink offering was different from the rest. It definitely made me want to go back to EACH place to try not only other drinks, but FOOD! It was nice to be provided with a sampling of each location....sort of a 'try it before you buy it' type of approach. I also learned a lot about the musical history of Hermosa. I'd only known about the jazz roots embedded in The Lighthouse, so it was nice to learn there was more. I like this tour because it really is something different. I would suggest leaving the evening open afterwards so you can explore more of the places on Pier Avenue or go back to the ones you just visited. It's such a vibrant location. Had a great time!

I'm always very hesitant when working with new companies because you just never know what can potentially go wrong--and the pressure is just that much more intense when you have 10+ staff members involved. So I'm very happy that Rebecca and her team, Lindsay and Andrew, were able to put together this amazing event. Rebecca really understands how to bring everything together, from the initial planning stages to the introduction/start of the event + during the event and bringing it all together at the end. They're all very professional and have a lot of experience in this. Even the team-building activities/games were fun (not too geared towards extroverts, introverts will enjoy it as well). There was a miscommunication with one of the locations we were supposed to stop by at, but Rebecca was very professional and had an alternative option already planned (which turned out to be an even better stop). Everything still went smoothly and we got back to the office early. I can't imagine how much more perfect the day could have gone. I highly recommend all businesses take advantage of Do Good Bus. It puts so much ease on the planner because you don't need to personally reach out to organizations about hosting an event. I would most definitely choose them again to host a future event!

We were paddling 3-4 times per week which made the monthly membership fee a no-brainer. All of the staff (including Chase and owner Patrick) are absolutely amazing people and always super helpful. We not only love the discounts at their amazing store, but also have really appreciated use of the onsite bathrooms, foot massagers after coming off the water, and the dry sauna (especially during the colder winter months and when there is a heavy marine layer). The membership is also great because you get after hours access to the dock, boards, and paddle gear so it is great to go paddling outside of store hours, including in the early morning when there's less wind and at sunset after the store is closed. In addition, we have gotten both our kids (now college age) into SUP and they will sometimes go out with friends. Since 2022, I have dealt with neck and back issues which, on two separate occasions, caused us to pause our memberships. However, after having back surgery in December 2025 and working with a trainer the past several months, I'm happy to say my wife and I are back on the water and I'm back to going SUP about 3 times per week. This is by far one of our favorite activities to do in the South Bay and Paddle House makes it so easy to enjoy and use your membership. Any time we have guest come in from out of town, we take them paddling to enjoy the harbor/ocean, views of the marina, and the sea life which abounds (sea lions, sea birds including Blue Herons, tons of fish you can see in the clear waters, and even the occasional dolphin). To say that becoming members of Paddle House has changed the lives of my wife and I and our kids would be an understatement! The membership has been very well worth it, especially if you are going to go out more than 3 times per month. In fact, although my wife and I contemplated buying our own paddle boards, they are quite large and difficult to both store and transport, so the Paddle House membership is a no-brainer. Besides, the quality of their various SUP boards and equipment are excellent. And we often end up making an afternoon out of it by getting a bite to eat, a drink, and/or listening to a band at Project Barley or Najas after coming off the water. JUST DO IT!!!

The reservation process was easy and the staff walked me through each step and checked in when they said they would to finalize details. Once we arrived, they helped to unload our car with the supplies and basically set up the party room themselves--which was awesome and looked great! The kiddos are given a quick breakdown of rules, and then we all went into the Village Arena. I really like that you get the play and dining areas to yourselves. They ran around like crazy for about an hour and half. There's a huge indoor slide which was fun not just for the kids, but also the adults! I wasn't sure if we should book the village or ultimate arena, but for kids ages 2-10, the village arena had more than enough bouncy houses and activities to keep everyone entertained. We had two staff members assigned to our group, I think their names were Eddie and Jacob? They were seriously fantastic. It was nice to have people step in to help with moving the party along, and also with set-up and clean-up. Their help made the party so much more enjoyable for me as well, since I could focus more of my energy on my son and our guests. The food was yummy, the staff was great, and the space is perfect for little ones. Oh, and there's quite a bit of flexibility on the food items you can bring in which can help to cut the overall cost down. If you're looking for a venue that has a private play and dining space, maintains a list of attendees and their respective gifts and cards, handles loading/unloading vehicles and set-up/clean-up, AND provides food options all under one roof--then Scooter's Jungle is the spot for your kiddos next birthday party extravaganza!

I know they advertise for older and younger, but the best parties I've been to are 4-5 year olds because they can actually enjoy the big slide and use the play areas with minimal adult support. The parties are completely private, so no mixing with the public. They do pizza and cake service for you. They are friendly. The birthday kid gets a king's crown and special seat at the head of the table in their party room. The only "complaint" I'd have, if any, is that the kids have so much fun in the play area that sometimes it feels rushed once we get into the party room for cake. Also, the location is a bit random, they do have a parking lot, but spaces seem limited if you come during a hot hour. Despite that, it is very easy for the host.
