If you want a unique LA date night experience, book one of their glass blowing classes. You'll learn to make a either a tumbler, stemless wine glass, bowls, paperweights, and other art pieces all under the expert tutelage and supervision. The studio was clean. The instructor (Sara) was clear in her instructions and patient. My wife and I were able to knock out 4 pieces in 2 hours. It isn't cheap.... but considering this was basically a private lesson, it was worth it. They apparently do parties and corporate events too. Anyhow, definitely something unique and I look forward to taking home our pieces. read more

I took a glass blowing class with a friend today. It was an amazing experience! I was nervous coming in but our instructor, David, put me at ease and made everything easy to understand and fun! He pays attention to the fine details. I felt safe having had zero knowledge or experience in this craft. I highly recommend David as an instructor for anyone with an interest in learning how glass blowing is done. The studio is also well ventilated and spacious. read more

We were able to make 2 pieces each and they turned out amazing when we picked them up. Setting up the appointment very simple and the staff is so friendly. My husband and I have always talked about finding a glass blowing class or workshop because glass art is so fascinating and beautiful! We celebrated our 17th wedding anniversary by booking a class at the LA Glass Center and finally doing something we'd talked about FOREVER! They made booking the class so easy, great communication and customer service, super responsive. Our instructor Cedric was excellent, he was so patient and really made it a relaxed, fun experience. He taught us so much about glass art and the history of this truly stunning space. It's super close to main street in El Segundo too, so you can really make a day of it. I would ABSOLUTELY recommend going for an incredibly unique, unforgettable date or scheduling a group class with friends. We LOVED it! read more

My family and I went here for an open house they hosted. Everyone was super helpful and engaging with my kids. The space was laid out nicely. They had dope beats playing and a nice spread of cheese, crackers and fruit. It was super cool seeing the glass blowing. I had never seen it before and I had no idea it wAs a "team sport"! We went here for a company team activity and everyone had a great time. No one had prior experience, we all came from varied backgrounds, but we all really found our half day here something we'll never forget. Joe and his staff helped us get set up, got us ready with coffee and even picked us up breakfast. We split up into teams of two and each made a piece to take home. These guys are all great artists, all produce amazing work, and are great teachers too. At the end of our session, they let us watch them create a more complicated piece, which was an amazing thing to see. I can't recommend this place enough. The studio is in a really nice tech area in El Segundo. Be aware: It gets hot with numerous ovens all going so wear shorts and a tank top! read more

Went there for a team-building activity and they blew my mind. Joe and his group of artisans instructed us so patiently. We were a large group of 16 without any prior knowledge of how glass blowing works (other than the Nextflix show - Blown Away). We showed up for breakfast and over the next 4 hours, they broke us out in groups of two, gave us an overview of the centuries-old glass blowing glass-forming technique and we came away with a beautiful glass piece to take home. At the end of our session, we watched Cedric, Corey, and Joe create a special decanter for our team as an office souvenir! They had such an incredible flow going, true professionals! The studio is incredibly clean and organized albeit very hot as expected. read more

My partner and I wanted to give our very good friends a special gift for the holidays. When we learned that LAGC would be hosting glass blowing, we knew what to do. The Holiday Spirits on the Rocks class (offered on December 21, 2019) was the best thing we've all done thus far! The class not only taught you how to create your very own tumbler but had an in house mixologist that taught you how to make two delicious cocktails. We even got to take home the cocktail recipes and your very own tumbler, blown by the instructor! As a first timer in a hotshop, I was nervous about working with molten glass and didn't think I would ever be able to blow glass! The team at LAGC was there every step of the way and guided us through the whole process. We have done other workshops in the past but this class and team was unlike any other. The LAGC team's hospitable demeanor, warmth, and passion for teaching really had our friends saying this class was an experience for the books. This talented bunch makes you feel welcome and is excited to work with you to show you the ropes. Our group of 4 worked together as a team, shared some laughs, and was able learn the basic of glass blowing. We can't wait for the next class to go back! read more

Just got my beautiful blue pumpkin back from my pumpkin glass blowing class over the weekend and I'm thrilled! First, the class. Cory was so patient and showed me the ropes - including "HOT HOT" and "Not Hot" - as I tell my kids. When they say hot, they mean it, prepare to be toasty! He showed me what we were going to do and how I should hold the tools, and then we jumped in and suddenly I was rolling like 2200 degree molten glass! He jumped in when I struggled and definitely looked out for my safety, so I'd say my beautiful blue pumpkin is about 50/50 teamwork. Doesn't matter. Still love it. The location is great- sleepy little Smokey Hollow in El Segundo - which is definitely waking up! I'm looking forward to the holiday ornament class (totally dragging friends along). If one of your bucket list items - or even just an odd hankering to learn something completely new - was to learn how to blow glass, come here. read more

All I can say is, WOW! I have been wanting to try glass blowing for the longest time and this was the perfect way to get my feet wet. I was definitely nervous at first because I had no clue what I was doing, but Corey, the coolest instructor you could hope for, made me feel super comfortable and was there to assist every step of the way. My friend who has taken a few classes at other studios came with me as well and he said this was the best class he has taken so far. To top it off, the studio itself is absolutely incredible and everyone there could not have been more down to earth.
