Kisha and Erica were amazing!! They were so helpful and patient, and also made the class super fun. I had a wonderful time making my own tote bag. Highly recommend!

Let me just start off by saying, this sewing class made my heart burst wide open! My grandmother was an amazing seamstress and I've always had this yearning to brush up on my own skills since she passed on when I was a young child. I had been looking for a sewing class for some time that provided all of the materials needed to leave the class with my very own project and this class was just that; I left having made my own super cute & functional tote bag! Kisha is very sweet, knowledgeable and hands on. She gives clear guidance throughout the entire process while still allowing you to work independently to create your own project. I had the time of my life the entire time, lots of giggling and great music to set the vibe while we worked. After completing my tote I felt so proud and accomplished that I had sewn something of my own! Kisha also provided goodie bags with some great sewing/designing tools to use at home. I have already recommended this class to friends and family and I plan to join this class again sometime soon to enjoy and create something else for myself!

This is a photo of the tote bag that my daughter and I created from scratch. Helped by Kisha a wonderful instructor!

Highly recommend this place! The best Mothers day gift a daughter can give to her mother. Kisha is so patient and she gives out a very good vibe. Very positive. Great instructor too. Now I want to own a sewing machine after taking her class. Great bonding , Good memories, and lots of laughter. Will be taking more classes soon. Thank you Kisha! For this memorable time I got to share with my daughter. God bless

    The reversible bucket hat

I took a Community benefit class that was offered to help decompress from the current climate in LA. That was the first mindful part that I loved. The studio is in a nice quiet part of Inglewood near other shops with plenty of parking by meter with a calm ambiance. There are restrooms on site. They offer machines for use in the studio which was also so nice and water. I brought along my machine which is also an option. The instructors - Keisha(sp?) and Erika (sp?) were delightful and kind. They both were patient and wanted to ensure each of us not only enjoyed the class but grasped the basic skills to start our project. Erika answered every single question I had that was not related to the project lol, these ladies are so knowledgeable and patient. We created a reversible bucket hat. As a novice I cannot recommend coming to a Sage class enough. We ended with a raffle which was nice! I 10/10 recommend and will be back to take another class.

He was engaging, entertaining, and genuinely captivating. He shared that his grandmother was a Girl Scout, which motivated him to engage with our organization, and that personal connection made the experience feel even more meaningful. He began with a lesson on glassblowing outside by the kiln (and other hot oven-y stuff). What I appreciated most was how much information he shared in such an amusing and accessible way. He is dynamic and held the attention of both the girls and the leaders. We learned so much about the art of glassblowing and the artisan himself, experiencing the craft in a very personal, first-person way. (He even let some of our girls assist him.) At one point, he transformed a bowl into a cup and then into a vase in less than a minute. It was mesmerizing! We then went into the studio to work on our own creations. What was both scary and exhilarating was that, after going over the safety rules and receiving some instruction, we were largely on our own. Wes didn't stifle creativity or prescribe what our creations should look like. Instead, he encouraged us to work through questions ourselves, which left plenty of room for us to experiment, explore, and simply "play." The activity itself was absolutely wonderful. Wes provided a very generous amount of glass, and I truly felt like we had way, way more than enough material to enjoy the experience without worrying about running out. There was so much to choose from, and the girls had the freedom to make the experience their own. This activity has my highest recommendation. Wes is an exceptional teacher and a creative muse who knows how to educate, inspire, and give people the confidence to create. I will absolutely be coming back with my older Girl Scout troop! (The photo below was a "work in progress and not fired yet!)

He was very informative and encouraging throughout the whole class. You can tell he's passionate about the craft. It was really fun and I can't wait to see the cups we made. Definitely a great time, will be recommending to my friends. Pro tip: there's several emails sent before the class, read them. I did not and was technically late and didn't wear the proper shirt (long sleeve and not black), regardless Wes was accommodating and we had a great class.
