In an attempt to clear up a 20 year old DUI with the DMV (it was already cleared with the court…read morelong ago) I was discriminated against because I am not religious. When I paid for the class, no mention was made that I would need to attend religious indoctrination in the form of a Christianity-based "12 step programme". When I discovered what was going on, I immediately reached out to Maria Sanchez, the director of this facility. She admitted that she was aware of the problem because other atheists and those with different religions had expressed deep concern over this requirement. She told me that she was looking into alternate, non-religious courses and that she would get back to me with an answer within a few days. She never did. I attempted to contact her numerous times over the course of the following weeks, but was told every time that she was either "out" or "in a meeting". Eventually I received a notice from the school stating that I had been removed from the class due to non-attendance, because I refused the religious indoctrination, of which proof of each meeting was required before being allowed into the DUI class each week. They also lied to the DMV and claimed that I had dropped out of the class instead of being forced out due to my status as an atheist and Taoist. If the DUI school and DMV don't have to respect anti-discrimination law, then I'm not sure why anyone should have to respect traffic law.

They are all about selling products and not about empowering girls. They do not give the girls enough per sale for the troop. They do nothing for the community and encourage the troops to spend their funds in the Girl Scouts store. Badges cost $3 per badge and they want you buy the guide for $3.50. They only give the troop $1.50 a box for cookies sales. You have to jump through so many hoops just to go camping. They work their volunteers to the bone while the CEO makes $600,000 a year. This area of greater Los Angeles made the girls who lost everything in the fires last year sell physical cookies and didn't help them in anyway to get new uniforms or anything like that. May girls had just lost everything but they HAD to house and sell cookies to make money so the troop could have funds. This is no longer about the girls it's all about making money.

The reason I can't give 5 stars is because I went in already having done research about the WIOA program and the very specific job I wanted to do. The lady kept trying to steer me in a different direction and seemed very off putting when I kept mentioning WIOA--like it's something they don't do for everyone even though it's a government funded program. When I asked when I would be assigned a case manager she said, "IF you're invited to orientation you'll get one then. In the meantime, take a look at our job board and see what you can find." The same day I went to the West LA Center and found that they have WIOA orientations 3 times a week and it's open to the public. If you need funding for certifications and trainings just go to West LA.

They don't answer the phone in a timely manner could take about a week or two weeks to hear back from someone. The lack of communication and organization is horrible. I finished the LVN and passed because of my dedication to study the material and utilizing ati and watching YouTube videos not because of the instructors or lecture. I finished the program in AUGUST of 2024 they didn't give us a ceremony until APRIL of 2025 wasn't even considered class of 2024 but 2025 makes no sense. The Ceremony was unorganized they had us do a practice run through for the ceremony, while family and friends were already seated which was embarrassing people were clapping thinking the ceremony had began just to have us walk out and come back in. There was also misspelling of names on the school ceremony pamphlet couldn't even get that right. Majority of the time we could barely understand the instructors because of their accents they always had last minute changes during the program. So if you're considering this school just make sure you've done all your research.

CCI is NOT for the mentally weak either. we had a nursing instructor named Jordoun. AMAZING RN. he makes learning fun! and makes you want to come back to class. I felt ready for clinical sites thanks to him and a lot of self learning and reading on my own.
