Not sure why unwind.studio lists them as a Stockist but alas, it was great to finally have a reason to check this place out. It is a maker's collective so there are various forms of art available for purchase. But, also, they have a variety of classes that I am definitely going to explore their schedule because I am interested in the Dubai Chocolate Bar class and candle making, among others. Our Girl Scout troop went to Blow a Glass this weekend having no idea what to expect - and we were…read moreabsolutely delighted by the experience. Wes was wonderful with the girls. He was engaging, entertaining, and genuinely captivating. He shared that his grandmother was a Girl Scout, which motivated him to engage with our organization, and that personal connection made the experience feel even more meaningful. He began with a lesson on glassblowing outside by the kiln (and other hot oven-y stuff). What I appreciated most was how much information he shared in such an amusing and accessible way. He is dynamic and held the attention of both the girls and the leaders. We learned so much about the art of glassblowing and the artisan himself, experiencing the craft in a very personal, first-person way. (He even let some of our girls assist him.) At one point, he transformed a bowl into a cup and then into a vase in less than a minute. It was mesmerizing! We then went into the studio to work on our own creations. What was both scary and exhilarating was that, after going over the safety rules and receiving some instruction, we were largely on our own. Wes didn't stifle creativity or prescribe what our creations should look like. Instead, he encouraged us to work through questions ourselves, which left plenty of room for us to experiment, explore, and simply "play." The activity itself was absolutely wonderful. Wes provided a very generous amount of glass, and I truly felt like we had way, way more than enough material to enjoy the experience without worrying about running out. There was so much to choose from, and the girls had the freedom to make the experience their own. This activity has my highest recommendation. Wes is an exceptional teacher and a creative muse who knows how to educate, inspire, and give people the confidence to create. I will absolutely be coming back with my older Girl Scout troop! We have been going to Machiko for 6 months now for piano after a school friend referral. Jim and Zach were great teachers and guides, very laid back and friendly atmosphere. We spent most of the day there chatting, watching, and meeting the family and friends. Starting with a demo, we saw the process happen step by step. Then they asked who wanted to go. Of course when they asked for a first person to try it out, my fiance and I stepped in to take up the challenge. Jim stood by my side to give tips and advice and guide my hand when needed. These guys are pros and they really worked with us to make the day a great birthday celebration. We would go back in a heartbeat!

She sets up the workshop with just the right amount of guidance and really creates a space for play. I really enjoyed creating layered pieces with organic lines and woven details.
