Not sure why unwind.studio lists them as a Stockist but alas, it was great to finally have a reason to check this place out. It is a maker's collective so there are various forms of art available for purchase. But, also, they have a variety of classes that I am definitely going to explore their schedule because I am interested in the Dubai Chocolate Bar class and candle making, among others. Definitely a neat space and you can get some inspiration by checking out the crafts available for sale.

We know they have a second studio in Santa Monica so we hope to join that one once we can move back to our home in West LA. The tuition prices were a great deal for what we gained from the classes. My daughter completed her butterfly artwork within the first 20 minutes, after which she was left with nothing else to do. Unsurprisingly, she became bored and restless. Afterward, I received feedback framing this as a focus issue and inability to remain seated, despite the fact that I had already disclosed her speech delay and autism to staff upon arrival. Rather than offering accommodations, enrichment, or flexibility, the studio treated her boredom as a readiness issue and suggested another trial to "evaluate" her. Expecting a six year old to sit still for 90 minutes after finishing the assigned work with no additional engagement is unrealistic. The program appears rigid and not well suited for younger or neurodivergent children.

Most of the classes go from 6- 10 PM, and that doesn't work for a person who has Lupus and chronic fatigue. Neither of these people could call when they had set appointments with me regarding my PAYING to attend school at OTIS. What a joke.

We have been going to Machiko for 6 months now for piano after a school friend referral. As a parent, I really enjoy the fact that it is an hour long with several teachers rotating among the students and then allowing them to work on a new concept before coming back to them.
