Thank you South Bay Archery for a great experience! I came for a birthday party. We had a lesson with Coach Paul and Coach Lani. They were both fun and patient and had all of us hitting targets in no time. Would absolutely come back again.

a friend brought me here and I didn't think I would like it but it turns out that it was fun and interesting. We learned a lot and I think I got better and better at it as the evening went on. if you are looking for something unique and fun in the South Bay, give this a try.

Paul was a great instructor with practical and funny anecdotes. He focused on the positive and pivoted my mindset anytime I doubted myself. His immediate feedback helped improve my aim and muscle memory. He used various targets to keep my aim consistent. This is a GREAT place to introduce yourself to archery.

13 year old learning.

Fantastic morning learning archery with Coach Paul and Lani. Very methodical and safe, particularly in relation to Covid. We learned great technique with an emphasis on positive reinforcement. We'll be back!

Paul made the entire experience so memorable and fun. He is a great instructor, who knew how to explain what corrections to make. Was so cool to see everyone gradually improve throughout the lesson! Went for my brother who was a natural at archery and had a great time. He even hit a "Robbin hood" so cool. Thank you!

Perfect bullseye !

The staff is so kind and patient while teaching The correct form and technique, always giving positive feedback. I was even able to shoot a perfect Bullseye using a right handed bow and arrow said even though I am left-handed for mostly everything ‍! Thank you to Paul and Lani for helping to create wonderful memories! We recommend it to anyone is a great bonding moment for friends and family!

My daughter attends their lessons, and I couldn't thank the staff (Paul and Lani) more than I already have.

The drinks we had at each place were so delicious and a great variety - I enjoyed every single one and I love how there were a few light snacks included along the way. I grew up in the area, but I learned so much interesting history about Hermosa Beach from Lauren that I never knew! I'd definitely recommend this experience as a fun way to spend an evening with friends or for a date night!

I was more than pleasantly surprised! Out of the three places we'd visited I'd only previously been to one of them. It was great being able to just sit down and take in a nice snapshot of each place while enjoying a delicious beverage. Each drink offering was different from the rest. It definitely made me want to go back to EACH place to try not only other drinks, but FOOD! It was nice to be provided with a sampling of each location....sort of a 'try it before you buy it' type of approach. I also learned a lot about the musical history of Hermosa. I'd only known about the jazz roots embedded in The Lighthouse, so it was nice to learn there was more. I like this tour because it really is something different. I would suggest leaving the evening open afterwards so you can explore more of the places on Pier Avenue or go back to the ones you just visited. It's such a vibrant location. Had a great time!

She shared some history and tips about MB I never would have known on my own. My bf and I were able to bring our dog, which was a huge plus. The town is dog friendly to begin with, so 6 out of the 7 places we stopped at we could bring our fur baby. Each stop, we ate something unique. By stop 4 I was stuffed, but the food was too good I couldn't stop eating. There was a wine tasting which was a great addition. I would definitely do this again and bring colleagues, friends or out-of-towners!

Lauren and Amanda were our tour guides and from start to finish they blew us away with their knowledge of the city and the various eateries. Though this is primarily a food tour, I was very impressed with the time they also took to explain various unique spots throughout the city. From small shops to murals to writings on walls and the ground, they pointed it out and had unique tidbits about them. I could really tell that these ladies took their time to research to make sure this tour was exceptional and exceptional it truly was. I'm from the South Bay but I learned so much on this tour that I didn't know before! I also loved that they chose a variety of different restaurants. It was a very diverse offering and I thought this too was a great way to showcase the city. They really chose some family owned restaurants as well as restaurants that have a lot of history to the city. Everything we tried too was excellent. At the end they asked what our favorite was and I couldn't pick. Chicken wings, tacos, ice cream sandwiches...ahh I loved it all! I even loved some mahi sliders we got to try (and mind you I don't eat seafood but I made an exception for this tour because I trusted Lauren and Amanda's expertise and taste. I'm so glad I did because the sliders were delicious! Yes, if a tour can get me to eat seafood ...then it must be a good tour ;). I definitely would recommend this tour to both locals and visitors. You'll be sure to learn many things as well as get to eat some of the best cuisine in town.

I'm always very hesitant when working with new companies because you just never know what can potentially go wrong--and the pressure is just that much more intense when you have 10+ staff members involved. So I'm very happy that Rebecca and her team, Lindsay and Andrew, were able to put together this amazing event. Rebecca really understands how to bring everything together, from the initial planning stages to the introduction/start of the event + during the event and bringing it all together at the end. They're all very professional and have a lot of experience in this. Even the team-building activities/games were fun (not too geared towards extroverts, introverts will enjoy it as well). There was a miscommunication with one of the locations we were supposed to stop by at, but Rebecca was very professional and had an alternative option already planned (which turned out to be an even better stop). Everything still went smoothly and we got back to the office early. I can't imagine how much more perfect the day could have gone. I highly recommend all businesses take advantage of Do Good Bus. It puts so much ease on the planner because you don't need to personally reach out to organizations about hosting an event. I would most definitely choose them again to host a future event!

Rebecca was responsive from the get-go and she and Bianca were amazing hosts on the bus. It helped set the stage for everyone to work together on our community service, which was supporting EnrichLA with some gardening at a middle school. We were paddling 3-4 times per week which made the monthly membership fee a no-brainer. All of the staff (including Chase and owner Patrick) are absolutely amazing people and always super helpful. We not only love the discounts at their amazing store, but also have really appreciated use of the onsite bathrooms, foot massagers after coming off the water, and the dry sauna (especially during the colder winter months and when there is a heavy marine layer). The membership is also great because you get after hours access to the dock, boards, and paddle gear so it is great to go paddling outside of store hours, including in the early morning when there's less wind and at sunset after the store is closed. In addition, we have gotten both our kids (now college age) into SUP and they will sometimes go out with friends. Since 2022, I have dealt with neck and back issues which, on two separate occasions, caused us to pause our memberships. However, after having back surgery in December 2025 and working with a trainer the past several months, I'm happy to say my wife and I are back on the water and I'm back to going SUP about 3 times per week. This is by far one of our favorite activities to do in the South Bay and Paddle House makes it so easy to enjoy and use your membership. Any time we have guest come in from out of town, we take them paddling to enjoy the harbor/ocean, views of the marina, and the sea life which abounds (sea lions, sea birds including Blue Herons, tons of fish you can see in the clear waters, and even the occasional dolphin). To say that becoming members of Paddle House has changed the lives of my wife and I and our kids would be an understatement! The membership has been very well worth it, especially if you are going to go out more than 3 times per month. In fact, although my wife and I contemplated buying our own paddle boards, they are quite large and difficult to both store and transport, so the Paddle House membership is a no-brainer. Besides, the quality of their various SUP boards and equipment are excellent. And we often end up making an afternoon out of it by getting a bite to eat, a drink, and/or listening to a band at Project Barley or Najas after coming off the water. JUST DO IT!!!
