I'm honestly so grateful to her for being so transparent and helpful, when most other companies would just send a repair person and charge the maximum amount of money. After further chatting, I also found out they do have a commercial sales team and real estate developers who buy 143 washers at a time don't write Yelp reviews. Happy Appliances has an incredibly-wide selection: from everyday names like Samsung to higher-end such as Miele and they can procure pretty much anything. John and his team worked hard to find specific models, such as a Bosch 800 series dishwasher, that we were searching for. From start-to-end, our team was very responsive to all follow-up questions via email and even with the pandemic supply chain issues, they tracked down and delivered all appliances within the quoted timeline and price--to a multi-floor walk-up nonetheless! Other retailers, such as Lowes, Home Depot, AJ Madison, and PC Richards were quoting 8-10 month backorder for some appliances. We got all of ours in three. Additionally, Happy Appliances (and its parent company: Happy Electronics) is an authorized vendor for all products we bought (did some independent research before purchasing), so warranty was never a worry. I feel like we discovered a hidden gem and we readily recommend them to our family and friends. As a matter-of-fact, I just went back to replace an old washer/dryer. Ask for John when you go. He was upfront about the delivery, installation and haul away costs. He was able to provide a Certificate of Insurance required by my building. Despite a glitch due to the building's aging plumbing, the delivery team was able to reschedule the installation of the dishwasher for a nominal extra fee. Everything fits in its proper place and is working. Very pleased with the selections. Tim is honest and provided great service along with reasonable pricing. After Saturday, i feel even stronger about that. Friday night, my husband was getting ready to do our laundry and the washer broke. He was all ready to go to the laundromat on Saturday after I bagged everything up. But then i came up with contacting Len Harris. We had only two small windows of time to work with: this past Saturday in the afternoon and next Saturday, same time frame. I connected my husband with them, he went over, bought a floor model and it was delivered and installed the same day! We were VERY pleased!

About a month ago (a week before Thanksgiving) my day started off terrible. My elderly cat had…read morepassed in the night and when I got home from the vet early that morning, I discovered a pool of water by my freezer door and called GE. GE said they could expedite the issue and send someone a week later after Thanksgiving for $116 just to look at it but the $116 would not be applied to parts or labor. I rushed out to borrow 2 coolers from a friend and the supermarket to buy bags of ice to save what I can. With Thanksgiving next week and everyone stocking up b/c of the pandemic I was expecting to lose hundreds of dollars of food. We called a friend of ours in our building who recommended John. She said several years ago he had come to look at her refrigerator which had stopped working and he fiddled with a few things and said to call him if that didn't work. Whatever he did worked. He only charged her $50 to look at it with the $50 to be applied to parts and labor if repairs needed to be made. Anyway, we called John and he said he was across the street and would come over later that day to look at it. He looked at it and said it was the control board and said he would get a new one in the next day or two and install it. He called early the next morning to say he had the part and ask if he could come up and replace it. After replacing it, it still didn't work and then said it was the "inverter"? and went down to his truck to see if he had one. He came back up and replaced it. It is now a month later and everything seems to be working fine. Bottom line, John is great. He came up the same day we called and replaced the defective part the next day, for what appears to be a reasonable price to replace a major part. He is the old school kind of repairmen we hear our parents talk about. He is a very nice guy, very professional, he came immediately, knew exactly what he's doing, and did a great job. Our refrigerator was making a very high-pitched squeaking noise which was the fan motor in the back. I was prepared to plunk down about $150 for a new fan motor and was OK with that. They sent a second guy who said the motherbord randomly broke and it looked like I burned it with cigarettes. I was like no your first guy melted it with a torch. They charged me an extra $200 for the new motherbored. Then 3 weeks later the whole thing was coated in ice again and not working. A different $400 down the train and a big headeache
