They sent a second guy who said the motherbord randomly broke and it looked like I burned it with cigarettes. I was like no your first guy melted it with a torch. It should have been an easy fix. All I needed was an evaporator defrost for my refrigerator. The top freezer was working, bottom fridge was not cooling. Technician came over, said they have the part needed to fix the problem, will be back within two days. Told me he made a temporary fix, and the refrigerator will work until he gets back. The next morning the whole refrigerator was not working. Had to get rid of over $100 of groceries. Technician returned three days later, replaced the part. After two weeks, the refrigerator stops working again. Turns out during the first visit, while removing ice from the evaporator he punctured A hole in the evaporator. He told me it happened when he removed the cover. So on the third visit, said he'll be back with a better solution to cover the punctured hole. Never came back. I've left several messages. I'm still waiting to be contacted. Very poor customer service. read more

Cesar came to my home yesterday after my dryer stoped turning up. He came to do the "diagnosis" of the machine. He took out two screws and immediately said it was a bad motor and that it needed replacement... hmm ok..? I mentioned to him that I'm before it stoped working that we had forgotten to put in the lint catcher. He totally disregarded it and told me it needed a new motor. I have two of these machines and said that he wouldn't have to buy a new one since I would already have the part. He told me it would be more expensive if I used my own part.... I must really look stupid. Told ceaser to get off my property. Next day I take a look inside. Found a sock lodged into the belt. It's works great now. I called to have my Kenmore washer repaired in January. The repairman came and I explained the washer had been leaking and the agitator didn't seem to be working and "fixed" my washing machine. it was an almost 300 repair. I had a long talk with the repairman about the machine to ensure I knew what to do to maintain it so i wouldn't have to continue to call for multiple repairs. The machine was used maybe ten or so more times (many of my household were out of town in feb) when the leak returned worse than ever. I called the repairman back and he told my roommates that he had "missed the problem the first time and it had worsened" and then tried to tell us that we would have to pay an additional 125$ for the part and a service charge. After admitting fault, they should have waved the service charge and i would have happily paid for the additional part. If I had known it would cost over 400$ to fix my machine I wouldn't have bothered repairing it, I would simply buy a new machine. My advice, use another more competent company that will stand behind their repairs and take responsibility for follow up work rather than gouge you on more service fees. read more

Unreliable and poor customer service. My dishwasher recently broke and I got an appointment (based on Yelp) from Cesar's Appliance Repair. They sent me someone to come take a look at it for $50. After checking the dishwasher for about 20 minutes, he said my motherboard of the dishwasher is broken and he will find out how much the part and repair cost will be and get back to me. I waited 1.5 week and he did not call. I called him and no answer. I called the main number and was told that he will find out from the repair guy and get back to me. Never called back. I called 2 more times--no answer. They could at least let me know if this was fixable or not. Unreliable-I will not recommend. You're better off using that $50 toward your new dishwasher or for another appliance repair store with more responsibility and reliability. read more

I have to update my previous 5-star review from 2018. In October 2019, I re-engaged Cesar to do some more work on the oven at my apartment (occupied by a tenant). He was quick to respond and do the work and sent me a text about how to pay him. I asked that he send me a receipt for the service, which he said he'd do as soon as possible, aiming for the following day. I did my part and paid him immediately via a bank transfer. My 15+ year old whirlpool refrigerator gave out sometime between Sunday and Monday. When I opened the freezer on Tuesday night everything was a soupy mess (including 4 pints of my beloved hard to find Haagen Dazs Green Tea ice cream ARGHHHHHH!). It's a side by side so the freezer was packed with meats vegetables ice cream frozen fruits... it all went into the garbage. On Wednesday I made calls to the highly rated fridge repair places and although I stressed the direness of the situation and needing it fixed same day to try to salvage what was in the fridge they all were trying to give me Thursday / Friday appointments (!) or I was getting answering machines. That is until my fifth call which was to Cesar's. I got a 5-7pm appointment and was called to when the technician realized he'd be late. No problem!!! No one else was coming so I patiently waited. Edgar arrived at 805, very professional and courteous, explained everything. Who knew I was supposed to have this thing maintained every 3-4 years?!?! He removed 15+ years of gunk, changed the relay starter kit, restored refrigerant pressure and provided the much needed maintenance. Price was wonderful and my whirlpool is freezing and chilling as it did the first day I got it. Excellent!!!! I've already shared their info with others. I hired this company based solely on Yelp reviews and am very disappointed in my experience. What kind of professional company doesn't answer their phone or return messages? This one. My dishwasher needed repair and they were able to schedule a repair the next day. Off to a good start. He was scheduled to come Wed, 8/30 9-12. As the time approached 12, I called to check in. He let me know the previous job was more complicated than planned but that someone would be there by 12:30. No one showed up and someone finally called at 1:30 to say they'd be there in 20 min. So my 9-12 slot turned into 2:00. Still, I was OK. They diagnosed the problem and I paid the fee however they said the part would need to be ordered and they'd call me with a date of when it could come in. This is when the problems started. They didn't call me so I called them to follow up. After calling multiple times without a response, someone finally answered and I was told the part would be in within 2-4 days. I never heard back after 4 days so called back on day 5. I was told they didn't have an update and they'd call me back later that day. That was Friday and now it's Tuesday. I've been calling and leaving multiple messages a day with no response. So now I need to hire someone else, probably pay them to diagnose the problem (even though I already paid once to Cesar) and then wait for a repair. And my dishwasher has been sitting around broken the past two weeks while he's been giving me the runaround. Using this company has been a waste of my time and money and I highly recommend choosing someone else. read more

Cesar suggested over the phone that the problem with my dishwasher was the motor based on what I told him was going on with it. He then came to my house to see the dishwasher, did a little test that took 5 minutes and said yes, it's the motor, and he would look into a replacement motor and get back to me on the cost. That 5 minutes cost $50 and he didn't get back to me. I called to follow up and he said he was busy but he would call me back shortly. He did not. Moreover, when I suggested that the problem could be something clogging the machine's motor (food, debris), which was what was suggested on various websites, and would involve a little work taking apart the machine to clean out a filter, he blew off that theory.
