The most embarrassing thing is that after we pay the bill with gratitude and tips included in the bill the waiter or waitress comes to the table before we leave and ask for cash tips separately from what we have already pai, this is so embarrassing and I have never seen this any other restaurant. First of all, the service is impeccable; from the moment, I walked in, the host and manager were both so kind and hospitable in a way that felt natural, while also going above and beyond. And the decor: easily the most beautiful restaurant I have ever been in. Full stop. Just a fun experience, without even getting into food and drink. There isn't a bad seat in the restaurant, and I would even want to come sit at the fun bar. Ok, food and drink. I got a sangria, which was easily as good as any you would find in a Spanish restaurant--not too sweet. They have a fun "street food" appetizers section that isn't on most Indian menus--we got the dilli ki shaan, which were kind of like potato salad in a crispy shell? And for my main, I had the coconut machi curry with fish--omigod, it was so flavorful!! My mouth is watering just thinking about it. My friend got the mewa murg tikka, and I think that delicious, flavorful, savory, smokey chicken may have even been better than my dish. The habanero and cheese naans were also pretty good. I can't wait to go back, though my biggest challenge will be whether to order the same dish or try something new!

They also have kitchdi, so do not forget to ask for their Kitchdi. It's so good. Kitchdi is a lentil rice mix with lots of cumin. It's one of the comforting foods in north India. The ambiance was great as well. The manager just informed us they are going to start offering some South Indian food starting December 2025. I am stoked. Highly recommend this place.

Very unfortunate about the service, since this is used to be one of our go to places to eat.

It's perfectly crisp, with just the right thickness to make it satisfying and filling. What I particularly appreciate is the balance of spices. The food is full of flavor without being overly spicy, something I don't often find at South Indian restaurants. Everything tastes incredibly fresh, from the chutneys and potato sabji to the sambar. You can truly enjoy the distinct flavors of each accompaniment. Their idli is another favorite. It's incredibly big, soft, and fluffy, almost a meal in itself! I also love their medu vada. At many South Indian restaurants, idli and medu vada are served as relatively small dishes, but here, the portions are so generous that either can be just as satisfying as ordering a dosa. I also enjoy ordering their Iranian saffron chai, which makes the experience even better. It's no surprise that this place gets busy! I ordered the MD Special Chicken Biryani and thought it was delicious! What makes this biryani dish special was that the chicken is fried! My whole group overall enjoyed their dishes. The thing we thought was a little strange was how little rice they brought out for the group to share. Six of us ordered an entree that's to be eaten with rice and they bought out just 2 bowls of rice to share amongst them. Another person next to me ordered the same biryani, but between the 2 of us, we were given just one of each sauce to share (which was not enough!) Service was a little odd too because when the food was brought out, there was hesitancy to how they were going to bring the correct dishes to the other end of the table. We ended up passing our hot dishes down to the correct person. People who ordered mild got the spicy orders and we had to switch things around. We also waited a long while after we finished eating and had to call someone over for the check.
