Authentic Japanese style Gyoza
Jesse Y.

What a great cozy Ramen spot for Little Neck. Simple menu however everything is on point especially the authentic Japanese style Gyoza . I have nothing but praise of their food ,service and low prices for today's standard. I will definitely be back sooner than later and advise all to do the same.

This place has the most unique types of ramen I've ever seen. I was super intrigued by all of their tea infused ramen like matcha and hojicha. Every time I come here, I get the triple shrimp ramen, which is the best. The broth is really flavorful and well balanced. The shrimp is charred and seasoned very nicely. The coconut cream topping also adds a little bit of creaminess to the broth. I love their deep fried potato strips that they put on top and their ever so perfect marinated egg. It has the most perfect jammy consistency. As for the hojicha ramen, I can definitely say that the hojicha flavor shines through. However, it's a bit more on the clean and light side, whereas I prefer rich and fatty. But I can definitely see how others can appreciate this tea infused broth. We also ordered the karaage, which was not as crispy as I'd prefer, but the flavor was good. The sauce that was paired with it, carried the dish. It was spicy, creamy, and tangy. The aesthetic of this restaurant is so clean and warm and the service is always on point. I also really like that you can use the QR code to order and look at pictures of the menu items. Definitely perfect for introverts like me.

Food: The food was just so delicious the broth was very flavorful and full of protein (pork) My boyfriend and I were both so happy with our decided to come here for dinner. Service: the service was great. There was just one waitress and she was friendly and never rushed us. Ambiance: I came here with my boyfriend on a Wednesday night dinner date and it was so nice to have the whole restaurant to ourselves. I like a cozy dining atmosphere. All in all, this restaurant is a 10/10 recommendation

Best ramen in the area! Rich broth, premium toppings and good drinks too. They now have a yuzu matcha cold brew that's big enough for 2 people. Love the fried enoki and grilled squid appetizers. I tried the triple shrimp ramen and it was SO good. I thought it would be spicy from the red broth but it's not at all and very umami. Maybe they used the shrimp head to make the soup? The space is small but they tables available on a cold Saturday at lunch. We skipped dessert but I want to try the Mont Blanc! Will definitely be back to try more!

Tried out this ramen spot in littleneck today and I loved it . They have a lot of unique flavors other than the typical flavors , shoyu, salt, and miso (and spicy miso), black garlic as they have hojicha and other tea flavors. I tried out their wagyu ramen and it was very delicious . I wish the portion was a little bigger because i finished it in literally 2 seconds! It comes with a large piece of wagyu beef slice . The restaurant looks very inviting and modern with all the wood style fixtures. The service was good as the food came pretty quick.

Came here to try and surprisingly we found this gem in queens. Who knew there was such a good ramen spot in little neck. We thought only Manhattan had good food. We came back here a few times when we are around the area. Definitely recommend here

Matcha Ramen

When I saw that there was matcha ramen on the menu, I had to try it. It's definitely not something you see often. I didn't regret my decision. A reason that I don't get ramen frequently is that the broth is usually too rich or salty for me, so I end up not drinking much of it. The matcha ramen was well balanced and I thoroughly enjoyed it. If I come back again, I would like to see how the hojicha ramen compares to it.

Box with check inside, pretty novel

Little neighborhood noodle shop with good quality classic and shoyu ramen. The chasu and pork belly were both tender, the sous vide eggs perfectly runny, the noodles were not overdone and the star attraction would probably be the rich broth bases for both. We ordered a side of the fried chicken karaage to accompany our noodles. Not greasy, fried thigh meat. Good ramen by ladies that probably work here 10 hours a day to offer simple, well-prepared comfort food. No congestion pricing drive into NYC, easy parking on Northern Blvd, and about $70 for lunch for 2 people with tax, tip and a soft drink, pretty fair for nowadays.

Matcha Ramen(To die for)

TEA/RAMEN lovers must come! The matcha ramen is absolutely amazing, flavorful and hearty especially with the chicken slices simmering in the matcha tea broth. For tea we got a pot of Yuzu Matcha and it was delightful:) Staff is friendly and the atmosphere is small/cozy You won't find ANY other place that does it like Cha Menya

Yuzu Shio Ramen

Small space, but comfortable seating. They have a very small lot right next to the restaurant, but you might have to move your car out in the middle of your meal for other patrons leaving. Mom and pop shop. "Mom" is very nice. She handles the front with orders. You can scan a QR code to order if you prefer not talking. The Karaage is tender with a light crisp. The sauce adds a slight kick, which boosts the flavor. Great appetizer to start with. As its name represents, Cha (Tea) Menya (Noodle Shop) specializes in their tea ramens, but I'm actually a bigger fan of their non tea ramens! The Tsukemen has springy noodles, thick pieces of chashu, which were fall apart tender, and a perfectly jammy egg. The broth has a strong garlicky flavor, and is slightly overly salty but it's meant for dipping not drinking straight. Did I still dr ink it straight? Of course... can't waste that delicious broth! The Yuzu Shio Ramen has very plump clams. The soup is light, but flavorful. Great balance with the citrus and seafood. Both the Hojicha and Matcha Ramen have very strong tea flavors. It's certainly a unique combo of flavors, as well as texture. If you're not a fan of the teas, you won't be a fan of these ramens. The Yuzu Grapefruit Tea has real fruit pieces. It is very refreshing. Helps balance out the heavy broth of the Tsukemen. The Cold Brew Teas come in a big glass cold brew tea bottle (~24 oz). Very refreshing tea. It does take a while to brew, but the longer it sits the stronger the tea! Loved the bottle so much, I got myself the bottle off Amazon! Azuki Matchapresso is a unique combo. On the sweet side (for me personally, I'm not a sweet tooth), but overall a tasty combo. The portion sizes overall are pretty good. One of the best ramen spots in Queens. Definitely check it out, especially if you love ramen and tea!

Sweet potato cheesecake with mango sorbet
M T.

We stopped in because it was national ramen day. We ordered the hojicha ramen and the triple shrimp ramen. Decent portion size and good flavors overall. We also ordered the sweet potato cheesecake with mango sorbet and the cheesecake was amazing. Easy to order by scanning the QR code at your table and adding what you want. The only thing is, you can't pay for it through the QR code. Just a tip about the tip is, you can add the tip through the QR code and when they bring you the bill they'll add the tip and give you an option to select a tip which, if you do, you'd be tipping them double. So my advice is don't add the tip in the QR code, just wait for the bill to come and add it that way.

Matcha ramen, triple shrimp ramen

Definitely not Japanese style, restaurant put in turkey breast cold cuts and spinach in Matcha Ramen, plus foods are not warm enough. Won't go back.

Had the regular ramen, it was very good. Thick broth, nice flavor, soy egg seasoned well, sightly runny, tender chasu. Would return again!

The sushi is always fresh, clean, and beautifully prepared. The nigiri melts in your mouth, the rolls are perfectly balanced (not overloaded), and the hand rolls are crisp, warm, and made to order--exactly how they should be. You can tell there's real care and skill behind every plate. Service is friendly and attentive without being overbearing, and the overall vibe feels relaxed yet elevated--great for a casual night out or when you're craving really good sushi you can rely on. Bonus for regulars: they'll be moving two doors down, so exciting things ahead--but the quality that keeps us coming back is already rock solid. If you're serious about sushi, Torigo is a must. It's been a while since I've returned so when I was given a choice, this was and still is, my go to place when I'm nearby. This visit - lots of sushi on my mind. I ordered the chirashi bowl as my entree and a la carte, sea urchin sushi. Today the Hokaiddo uni was available so I splurged and got it. The California uni was available too but given the option, Hokaiddo is the way to go! The Chirashi is a beautiful bowl of fresh sushi - given my allergy to shrimp, I asked for a substitute piece of fish. They accommodated without an issue. The tuna, salmon, and mackerel was outstanding - so fresh! The octopus, yellowtail and tamago were perfect. I enjoyed this very much... Couldn't finish the rice. The bowl is a great deal and value. For starters, my friend and I enjoyed the lightly fried soft shell crab. It was simply divine - great crunch and a soft shell indeed. The optional scallion and dipping sauce isn't really needed but available. So good! It was super fresh. My friend ordered the Black Cod Bento box. Rice bowl comes on the side. These bento boxes are the best deal: comes with gyoza, fried tofu, edamame seaweed salad, wasabi salt, cucumber salad, both shrimp and vegetable tempura (even eggplant!) and the cod was sitting on top of some sauteed string beans. Both of our dinners came with a choice of house salad or miso soup. I recommended the salad because the dressing is fantastic here - citrusy and light ginger I think, with a bright orange color appeal. The complimentary noodles as a palate starter was also fantastic. There is a parking lot in the rear but I've often found spots easily on the street (metered parking but free after 7pm on the weekdays).

There is a parking lot, but I had to wait for a car to leave to get a spot. I had made a reservation for 6 people at 7:00pm earlier in the week. My friends were running late, but I was seated in the meantime. Umami Sushi and Grill is modern, stylish, and spacious. We were seated in a private nook like an open bird cage and it allowed for a private and intimate dining experience. It was all of ours first time here and can't wait to go back. We started with the Mushroom Salad and Rock Shrimp Tempura Bites for appetizers. The mushroom salad had sautéed seasonal mushrooms with yuzu dressing. The rock shrimp was battered and lightly fried served with yuzu creamy spicy aioli sauce. The mushroom salad was refreshing and the rock shrimp flavor was great. We also ordered a bottle of Mio sparkling sake. I've always enjoyed this sake so I had to order it when I saw it on the menu. It is light, fruity, and slightly sweet. I ordered the Shaggy Dog Roll which had shrimp tempura inside, topped with crab meat, crunch, spicy mayo, and eel sauce. Very yummy and savored every bite. For dessert, I had the matcha cheesecake and I enjoyed it very much. The matcha cheesecake was packed with matcha flavor and it was creamy and luscious. The portion was smaller than the fried cheesecake and the fried ice cream that my friends got, but that was totally okay since the matcha cheesecake was so rich. Umami Sushi and Grill was the perfect place for my friends and I to catch up. Service was wonderful and we stayed at the restaurant for about 3 hours. The staff were attentive and still filled our water/hot tea. Definitely worth checking out.
