They are part of the AAA network. The night of Metallica , Friday night my starter on my truck failed. I called and they were 3 hours out. Which means I would have gotten towed at 3am. A lot of people must of had car trouble this night. We said F$&k it and Ubered home. A very friendly and capable driver arrived ready to figure out how to get the car out of a tight spot in a parking lot and onto the flatbed tow truck. Well, he figured it out and had the car on the truck so quickly and efficiently we were very surprised. I must include this happened around 10am on a Wednesday. We managed to get our car perched and stuck on a curb with tire suspended. The first truck sent by AAA was a flatbed and the worker couldn't do it. A second truck was sent and succeeded in getting us off the 17" wall but dented the fender. He did not tell us and we didnt notice until he left. (No English). It's hard to run a business when your phones apparently serve no function beyond collecting dust. When a driver finally arrived, things went from disappointing to outright negligent. The individual could not speak or understand English in any meaningful way. This isn't a matter of cultural insensitivity--it's about operational safety and basic communication. If a tow truck operator cannot read directions, ask questions, or follow verbal instructions, they should not be representing your company on the road. The driver appeared lost throughout the loading process--unsure, untrained, and seemingly unaware of basic towing protocol. Upon drop-off, it took him over 45 minutes to unload the vehicle, during which he attempted to drag the car while it was still in park. This resulted in damage to my tires and now requires a transmission inspection--on top of the radiator leak that was the original reason for the tow. When I contacted Cha Cha Express again to ask if someone with actual qualifications could assist, I was met with silence. No returned calls, no apology, no ownership. This experience speaks to a complete breakdown in professionalism, training, and customer care. I now have photos, call logs, and additional repair costs--none of which would exist had Cha Cha Express done the bare minimum: show up on time, communicate clearly, and send a trained, qualified driver. What a terrible experience. Cha cha Express took almost 2 hours to arrive. The driver refused to go in a different driveway. He chose the tiny driveway instead of driving around to a huge driveway. That would be safer for everyone. Once he got the car loaded we noticed that he had put the ratchet straps so tightly on the front tires that they were depressed about 6 inches likely breaking the belts. When we arrived at Zephyr Auto where I was getting the car serviced, he got very sulky. When asked to put the car in a specific parking spot. He rolled his eyes and showed terrible attitude. My experience with this company was absolutely horrifying. Called AAA for a tow and this company was sent. My driver spoke ZERO english and right away is texting while driving to translate creepy conversations in english. He was holding his personal phone up to my ear asking me "how old I am", "how old do I think he is" and "how many babies does his babygirl have." He was being so inappropriate, touchy, and was driving recklessly while texting on his phone the entire drive. Other cars were honking at him for sitting at green lights because he could not get off his phone, so he eventually decided to just pull over into a random parking lot with me in the car. He makes a 10 minute phone call in Spanish. I was asking him repeatedly what is he doing, why are we stopped? and was ignored so I eventually started screaming at him. His response was in Spanish which I do not understand. I was genuinely in fear for my life, thinking I was going to be kidnapped. DO NOT USE THIS TOWING SERVICE!!! I was in the left lane so no big deal right? Wrong this guy turns right out in front of me and comes all the way into my lane causing me to go off the road into the median just for him to go into the right lane. The driver flew through our small/narrow streets at a solid 30-35mph when it is posted at a 15mph zone. I approached him to tell him the speed limit is 15mph and he needs to slow down- we have a lot of children in our neighborhood. He told me I was crazy and he was only going to"25-30 max." THIS COMPANY STOLE MY CADILLAC ESCALADE!! I called AAA when the tire on my Escalade went flat. AAA picked CHA CHA EXPRESS AUTO CENTER LLC (DBA ChaCha Express Towing). They're a new business less than two weeks registers here in Florida with SunBiz! They picked my car up, supposedly towed it to Cadillac like they were told to. Then the fromt gate was closed. They would not leave the Escalade at Cadillacs front gate. They told me I had to pay them $80 to store it in their lot overnight. I asked where their lot was, they would not tell me. I asked four total times. They said they didn't know the address, and only how to drive there. i said I was not comfortable with that and that policy is they're not supposed to charge members for storage! They said they would waive storage and got mad when I refused that as well. AAA phoned ChaCha and told them to bring the car back to me. I waited 6 hours. They never came. They took a fake video somewhere need and claimed they gave the car to me. The owner, Freddy and his wife Yanet have the same car as me!! and now my car is missing, but they insist they dropped it off at my work which is under 24/7 surveillance. DONT TRUST THIS COMPANY. Eduardo was very professional and friendly. The service was fast, maybe 30 minutes after AAA confirmed the service provider. Towed my truck from Tampa to Clearwater/Palm Harbor, no problem. Paid extra for the extra mileage, but the two Ubers back and fourth would have been the same money. I upgraded to AAA plus within the app to get 100 miles of towing during my request to tow. I would recommend Eduardo any time! AAA needs to update the app so it doesn't prompt you to upgrade during your service request, as that coverage doesn't become active for 3 days.
