I cannot recommend Impex enough! Julio and his family were absolutely exceptional from beginning to end. Their customer service, communication, and attention to detail made the entire process so easy and stress free. They were able to repair my 2026 Tesla Model Y in less than 7 days (ahead of schedule) which is unheard of!! and I couldn't be happier with how everything turned out. My car looks great, and the entire experience exceeded my expectations. It's not often you find a family owned business that truly makes you feel taken care of, but Julio and his family did exactly that. I would absolutely recommend Impex to anyone looking for quality work, great customer service, and a team you can trust. Thank you again!! 100/10 stars read more

I had a great experience with Impex after someone hit the back of my vehicle. They were one of Progressive's recommended repair shops, and I'm so glad I chose them. I dropped my car off on a Friday and had it back within about 10 days, exactly when they said it would be ready. From start to finish, the service was excellent. The staff was friendly and professional. The owner personally came out to speak with me and was very kind, and the front desk team was also helpful and welcoming. Even though the shop is small, the quality of the work was top-notch. My car looks as good as new--the paint matches perfectly, and everything was done with great care. Whether you're going through insurance or paying out of pocket, I would 100% recommend them. They're reliable, honest, and clearly take pride in their work. A truly great shop read more

First off, Julio (owner) was available right on time and immediately looked at my bumper damage. He proposed an incredibly cost effective way for me to make it look great again. Quick, easy, reliable - hard to believe given my experience with other body shops. The personal touch (Julio even gave me a tour of the state of the art equipment/facility) was amazing. He's got a customer for life and I would refer anyone I know to Impex. This place is a throwback to when business was done on relationships with honesty and a family feel. Highly recommend! read more

Good service and professional staff. Overall a smooth and pleasant experience though response time could be a little faster.

This review may be somewhat unique compared to all of the other hundreds upon hundreds of fabulous FIVE STAR rave reviews about Impex Auto Body Shop on Google. Please understand that we certainly love and appreciate the precision work these folks have done to our car, just like all the other hundreds of reviews. After all, Impex is rated the largest and absolute best auto body shop in Tampa for a very deserving and positive reason. They have been a true blessing to the Tampa Bay area for over 40 years. However, rather than repeat all of their other reviews and accolades, today I wanted to write a review about their staff and Impex's owner, Julio. These warm, wonderful, caring people are even more fabulous than the incredibly brilliant work that they've performed on our automobile. From the moment we walked into their shop and met Maria sitting behind the front desk, to the auto repair professionals we conversed with about our car, to Julio their admired owner, we felt the true welcome, warmth and work-related confidence that these folks displayed. We instantly felt like newly and sincerely cared for members of their very thankful and very fortunate Tampa Bay customer-based family. Having our auto reassembled properly at a fair price brought such a secure feeling by simply knowing that we were in the absolute best caring and most professional hands. By the way, their fabulous expresso coffee that they provide for all their customers is exceptional too. Our appreciation of Impex's work, their caring staff, their owner Julio, and much more about them are abundant. With all of their fabulous and well-deserved reviews, it is apparent that Impex Auto Body Shop is the epitome of how all privately held shops and companies should be. Thanks so much Impex! read more

Incredible, family-owned shop! They are fast, polite, and reliable. They have always been reasonable and taken the time to explain procedures and repairs to me. I recommend them to all of my friends and family! read more

Unbelievable experiance at Impex! Someone backed into my passenger side headlight(mercedes C300), it looked like the headlight had been pushed in maybe 1/2". Took it to a bodyshop off Westshore estimate was $1300.00 WAIT WHAT? Called a guy that does mobile work and sent him pics, I thought mobile no overhead right. Estimate was $1500.00 WAIT WHAT? Got a refferral to Impex. OMG! Julio the owner popped the hood and showed me the clip that holds the headlight in gave away with the impact which it was designed to do. He pulled the headlight out then put some epoxy on the clip. It was perfect and he said your good to go. When I asked how much he said nothing it took me me 10 minutes WAIT WHAT? I can't even! They have a client for LIFE!!! What an amazing family. 100% recommend them. read more

Excellent work! The Impex team did a wonderful job of putting my wife's BMW (2 month old when it was hit from behind) back together for us. You never would have known that it was rear-ended. The craftsmanship, care, and communication were what I would expect of a 5-star shop, and admittedly, my expectations are pretty high. Thank you to Julio, Julian, Celina and the rest of the team for taking care of us. read more

Let's be frank...everyone hates autobody shops because rarely is anyone happy about care repairs and often the repair work sucks, but not at Impex GAE. Impex GAE is the best autobody shop in Tampa. They fixed one of my cars and it looked as good as new. They also turned the work around quickly within the timeframe indicated. The owner gave me a tour of their facilities and it was impressive. I hope you never need an autobody repair shop, but if you find yourself in the situation, definitely check out Impex. read more

Husband got rear ended and his BMW needed work. They were already on the approved insurance list but also recommended by our long time mechanic. Since the trunk wouldn't close we thought we would be without a 2nd car until IMPEX could get to our car but they closed the trunk and put the proper tape over the smashed lights so we could drive it for the next 5 days (no charge). Then the actual repair time was 4 days ahead of schedule and the repair work costs were way less than we expected on a BMW! They were courteous professional and affordable! What more could you ask? Fantastic experience with with company! read more

Despite the reasons for me needing an autobody repair shop, the personnel at Impex are fantastic! Selena handled my insurance repair with kindness and remained professional throughout the process. The office personnel worked well to communicate timelines, estimated repair costs, and insurance coverages. They even helped with the Enterprise rental car pick up and return. Their repair work is excellent! The rear fender looks new. Let's hope Tampa drivers help me keep it that way. Trust Impex to do a good job. read more

I don't know about you but working with auto insurance to repair your vehicle can lead to a little anxiety. IMPEX GAE is a full service collision repair shop a friend recommended I bring my car to and I'm glad I did. Located just a short drive from the Raymond James Stadium, the drop off process was quick and efficient. The staff offered to make me an espresso not once but twice (which I said heck yes to), and explained all the next steps. They even called ahead for the rental car company to pick me up. They have limited parking spaces in the front and side of the building. This review is for the drop off process only. Once I pick up my vehicle I'll post another review. Until then, give IMPEX a call and learn all about what they do. read more

They did an excellent job repairing severe damage on our BMW. Service was outstanding and professional.

Very satisfied with the entire experience (besides my car getting hit in the first place, of course). Vehicle was ready right on time, customer service was super friendly, the repairs look excellent, and the car was perfectly cleaned...pristine condition (overall, car looks like new, actually even better than before). read more

What a breath of fresh air. Julio and staff were just what I needed when an accident wrecked the right front end of my SUV. They were able to see me quickly for an estimate and equally quickly for drop off. When I picked up my SUV, it looked as if the accident never happened. I paid the exact amount of the incredibly reasonable estimate. I am so grateful to find this business - they treat you like a old friend and do an excellent job! read more

very dissatisfied!!! my car was scratches at the shop and was completed full of stains/oil and missing some clips. I had to take it back and asked them to put the clips but do NOT wash it. Guess what? They washed it. I did not want them to touched it but they did not listen!! I am going to take to a professional auto detailing because still showing stains. Nice staff but they did not do a good service to my car. read more

Impeccable service and a quick turnaround. Such a relief to find a trustworthy and amazing body shop!!

This is a follow up Yelp. I chose Impex GAE for repairing my wife's car totally based on all the amazing comments and 5 star ratings on Yelp. The bar was set really high and I must say from my experience, they deserve all 5 stars. From the moment we met Julio, to the quote, to the finished product and on time, absolutely stellar!! I'm a little picky on painting a car. It's never the same. But I must say, I now believe it is possible to get a Porsche factory paint job right here in Tampa Bay. Thank you Julio and your team of professionals for the amazing service and yes, the coffee was pretty awesome too!! read more

I hit a deer and my insurance recommended this company. Being new to Tampa I trusted them. I am so pleased with the work they did! They listened to me when I said I was hearing clunking noises after the accident. They were able to find the cause and do the repairs fast and it looks better then when I bought the car! Everyone was friendly and I felt very comfortable leaving them to do the repairs! I hope I never need their services again but if I do I will definitely use only them! I highly recommend this company for any body work! read more

Julio and his team did a phenomenal job. Not only was the body work excellent, but the office coordinated with the rental car company and made it easy for me to drop off my car. I saw the many five stars reviews and wasn't sure whether to believe them but now I see why. I wouldn't go anywhere else! read more

My father's car was rear ended while parked. This ship has been the go-to place in Tampa for anyone who is particular about getting theirs body work done by the best in the business. Julio and his team are honest, helpful, and might be one of the most technologically capable body shops in the entire city. You'd do well by visiting him if you need body work. read more

We had a fender bender and they made the process of getting our car fixed so seamless. To make it more complicated we were heading out of the country the day after we dropped it off. Our car is a BMW X3 and it's hard to find quality repairs on high end vehicles. When we went to pick up the car not only did it look PERFECT (and we have a very unique brown car color) but the inside was detailed so well we joked we might just bring it back every month for that service. Highly recommend this shop. They were fast, communicated well and what they charged was extremely reasonable. read more

Amazing service. Very communicative. They did a great job with repairing my car after fender bender through geico.

I never thought I'd feel so good about a body shop but Julio and the boys at Impex made me happy that I brought my car there for repairs. After being sandwiched between 2 cars while sitting at a light, my Audi A6 was suddenly not the same. I went to Impex on the recommendation of a friend in the insurance business. From the first call to make an appointment, Julio took all my worries away and spoke to me like an old friend. He managed all of the paperwork online as they are a Progressive certified shop. He communicated every step of the way and even finished ahead of schedule. I tend to be very picky when it comes to my car and Audi's are known for their right tolerances. Impex has every seam and space squarely inside of factory specs. Everyone at the shop is really nice and they make one of the best espressos in town! Overall they were on budget, faster than planned and very high quality. Will definitely recommend Impex to my friends. Thanks again Julio and team. read more

Amazing service!! the whole family was great and went above and beyond to make my visit a great experience!

I chose Impex to complete some body damage work on my Land Rover as they were a preferred vendor with Progressive. They were quick and fair with an extremely nice staff. I had a car accident on Wednesday while I was going home, dropped the car off on Friday morning and I had my car back on Tuesday after work. The owner was nice and helpful and, especially during this stressful time, managed to make that short time from the accident to my car looking just as good as when I drove it off of the car lot. Excellent service! Honest and very communicative. Highly recommend this family business! Julio is great and really goes above and beyond.

Update to previous review below. This was the 4th accident in my 2017 mustang GT that Impex has repaired: As I lost traction at over 80 mph on a wet I4, it felt like slow motion when my mustang slid under the trailer of an 18 wheeler. I felt and heard the crunch of my left front fender hitting the landing gear of the trailer which kicked me out and I began spinning and going down thru a ditch. Here is the crazy part: what does one think of in the middle of a high speed crash? Here's what I thought of...the only thought going thru my mind after the front fender of my favorite car was smashed and pieces of the car were coming off in the ditch my only thought was, "Julio at IMPEX can fix this like new." And I simply relaxed and didn't sweat it as I slid up the other side of the ditch and into a field. I called Julio when the dust settled and he sent a rollback for my car and began repairs that day. When I got it back it was like new. The folks at IMPEX can perform miracles with messed up cars. They rock! . am in management consulting and technology transformation for large global companies, so I see lots of areas where companies need to improve. In my presentations and discussions with these companies that have tens of thousands of employees, I tell them about Julio and the family over at Impex. Simply a well run company in every way. I happened by one morning to drop a car off and stumbled into their morning team meeting which was like a family sitting around over coffee. This place just has such great energy and a total focus on quality read more
