I've been trying to find a place that would satisfy my craving for fresh ceviche since first trying it in Mexico on a beach and Ceviche Ria is definitely the place. Hands down, the best ceviche I've had in Houston. The staff is friendly, the servings are huge and the flavors are all there. I mean, just look at their presentation (see pic)! I tried their Mix Ceviche Cocktail and demolished the whole thing by myself. I will be coming back!!

Location (4/5): This place is super easy to get to and there's plenty of parking in the parking lot. The place is always impeccably clean as well. Food (4/5): The food is good. The seafood always tastes fresh. Personally I feel like they go a bit heavy on the line juice but overall it's good. Service (3/5): I've only been here twice and the staff are always really nice. The second time we went they weren't serving any hot foods which was a bit disappointing as that really limited what we could order (I was really hoping to order their Baja tacos). The first time I went, I ordered the mixed ceviche. Given that we could only order cold foods I decided to try the mixed aguachile with jalapeños and my fiance ordered the cocktail with jalapeños to go. When we got home we realized we didn't get either of those items and ended up up two ceviches, neither with jalapeños. Price (5/5): The food is reasonably priced for the amount you get! It always fills me up.

The pictures are real life! Friendly service from all of the team members, very family-like environment. Most of the plates are good to share for two people which is great. The ceviche was fresh (duhh) and beautifully presented. I would definitely return!

I walked in and had a warm welcome from the staff. I took a few minutes to look over the menu. I ended up getting the Cabo nachos. It's enough for 2 people for sure. It was so delicious loaded with shrimp. The fish ceviche was so good I got it to go. I'll be back to try the shrimp cocktail.

They also bring out tastings of their non-alcoholic Crafted Refreshers: Signature Horchata, Piña Colada, Horchata Cappuccino, and Horchata Coconut. All were light, flavorful, and delicious. Unfortunately, they were out of the mojito -- the one I was most excited to try. We shared the 3 Shrimp Ceviche and the Grilled Beet Ceviche. The shrimp ceviche was wonderful -- bright and refreshing. We added a bit more lime for extra tang, though some may prefer it less tart. One small suggestion would be to cut the pieces slightly smaller so they stay on the chips more easily. The Grilled Beet Ceviche was unexpectedly dessert-like -- sweet, refreshing, and the perfect follow-up to the shrimp. Service was top-notch. The staff was friendly, attentive, and happy to answer questions, while keeping drinks and chips refilled promptly. For a new restaurant, this place truly impressed. My only suggestions would be to provide a bit more chips with the salsa and to cut the ceviche pieces slightly smaller for easier eating. Overall, a fantastic experience and definitely worth a visit.

We were seated at immediately, but after sitting for a few minutes with no greeting, I realized something wasn't right. I had to walk back to the hostess stand to let them know we hadn't been assigned a server. Turns out, we were seated in a section that didn't even have a server until 5:00 PM. That's not a small oversight--that's a breakdown in communication at the front. Now, to their credit, once our server stepped in, things started to turn around. Drinks came out quickly. I ordered my usual Long Island, and I loved that it was served in a branded mason jar--cute touch, definitely added to the vibe. (Still wondering if I was supposed to keep it or not ) We started with appetizers: The crawfish pistolet was the standout. Flavorful, rich, and honestly the best thing we had. My only complaint is they needed a little more bread to balance all that filling. The fried green tomatoes were cooked well and the portion was generous (almost two whole tomatoes), but they were under-seasoned. I had to add salt and rely on the sauce to bring them to life. Now let's talk about the menu--it's huge. We're talking seafood, burgers, fried chicken, boils, ceviche... everything but the kitchen sink. And while options are nice, it does make you question how fresh everything really is when a restaurant is trying to do that much. Overall, this place felt like it was trying to recover from a rough start--and partially succeeded. There are definitely some highlights (that pistolet!), but also some inconsistency that keeps it from being a full win. Final verdict: 3.5-4 stars. Come for the seafood favorites, but they've got some tightening up to do on service flow and seasoning.
