One of my favorite spots in CT for lomo saltado I've been coming for years but the last I went it was covered in so much soy sauce it's never been like that before I hope it was a one off and not a new recipe. It was very overpowering service was kind as always and I love the new ambiance read more

The restaurant is established in a old building but the inside is very nice, magnificentlyincorporating Peruvian art and culture. The menu has lots of authentic traditional Peruvian dishes, all with their real name, the explained in details what they are made of. We started with a pitcher of chicha morada, very interesting drink, made out of Peruvian purple corn. We got complementary bread with yummy green sauce. For entree I got try the sudado de pescado, a lovely steamed fish filet, cooked perfectly in delicious onion tomato based broth. Loved it with rice. The arroz de mariscos was an excellent seafood Paella. All seafood items in the dish were beautifully cooked. Paella rice was very complementary to the dish. Our server was amazing, did his best to explain everything in English. Check on us multiple times. Food was served in a quick time. Overall it was a wholesome Peruvian dining experience. read more

In English: As a Peruvian, I know what authentic Peruvian food should taste like, and this experience fell far below expectations. I encourage diners to carefully review both their food and their bill before paying. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this restaurant and unfortunately my experience was very disappointing. The food did not taste fresh and seemed reheated. I started with the yuca a la huancaína, but the sauce was overly thick, lacked the authentic flavor and ingredients, and did not resemble the dish shown on the restaurant's website. The yuca itself tasted like frozen yuca. For main course, I ordered fish fillet and corvina, a traditional Peruvian fish that was also one of the more expensive menu items. The dish arrived cold, dry, and lacking freshness. The side of beans was dry and flavorless, and the sweet plantains were overly ripe and extremely greasy. I brought these concerns to the waiter's attention and showed him my plate, explaining that I did not want to eat the dish. I did not order a replacement because I was dissatisfied with the quality of the food. When the bill arrived, I was charged for the meal I did not eat, and a 20% gratuity had already been added. This was not clearly disclosed, and I only discovered it after questioning an additional charge on the bill. When I asked to speak with the manager, I learned it was the same person who had served us. My concerns were not addressed, and I was required to pay the full amount. read more

What a gem of a place! This place is definitely off the beaten path. I lived in this city and this is the first time visiting this restaurant which has been there for 15 years. We stopped in for dinner and were pleasantly surprised. I had the ceviche mixto which was various types of seafood in a semi spicy sauce, it was so refreshing and good. Probably the best ceviche I have ever had. My girlfriend had a sampler ceviche without any shrimp and shellfish. She loved it, her ceviche was with the real spicy sauce. The restaurant from outside did not look like much, but once inside, it was really nice. The food presentation was really top notch! The service was really good. We will definitely be back. read more

Before heading to the other side of the state looking at counter tops I had looked up places to eat and this place and one other caught my interest. When we asked at the shop if they knew of the place they had often ordered takeout, so off we set. We were not disappointed, I order a shrimp ceviche and hubby a steak entree, sorry can't remember which ones. I asked for medium spice on mine(waiter actually had a surprised look when I ordered a ceviche dish lol) it was just the tight amount of spice and totally delish! Hubby was very satisfied with his food also. If we happen to be back in the area we'll definitely go back read more

If you're looking for authentic Peruvian cuisine, look no further. Ceviche Palace is a lovely Peruvian restaurant in Bridgeport,CT. I recently went to this restaurant with my Peruvian friend. This was my first time trying Peruvian cuisine. The cocktails were amazing - chicha morada, Inca cola and piscina sour. The appetizer was papa o yuca a la huanciana which was served with roasted corn kernels. Entrées were lomo palace, saltado de mariscos and arroz con mariscos. I was blown away by the flavors, textures and the taste of these delicious dishes. I loved the variety of seafood, including shrimp, mussels, and squid, which were cooked just right, steak cooked to perfection with the fried plantain and served with a perfectly cooked egg. Everything was truly delicious and we ended our lunch with delicious tres leche and a complimentary drink (I forgot the name). This mysterious drink was so delicious. I will definitely go back to this amazing place and try their other dishes as well! The server kept checking on us and was in no rush at all! I loved the beautiful murals on the walls. There is parking not a lot though. But I did see lot of street parking available. read more

We ordered delivery last night and had no idea it went through DoorDash. The driver accepted it and marked it complete, we had to call the restaurant and pick it up in person. They refused to refund the delivery fee and tip, which came to $14. DoorDash said it's on the restaurant since the order went through their website. So we are out $14. We were regular customers, but they decided that $14 was more important than repeat business. read more

The L in Lomo must be for legendary! Today I had the best lomo ever at Ceviche palace. I've always known its one of their most popular dishes but its never been my thing. Well, I think that's changed now! Its especially good with their fried sweet plantains. I also noticed they made new renovations to the restuarant and it looks and feels amazing in here! They are also trying to incorporate a new happy hour menu! I can totally see myself coming here regularly for happy hour. read more

Best ceviche in CT , I absolutely love everything that I have tried here. So good . Service is great too. Prices are decent as well

We got our food delivered and they sent us the wrong meal. I was highly disappointed considering I waited for my food over an hour! The food was cold and the chicken was hard and stale no flavor at all. We called to tell them they sent us the wrong order. I had the receipt that clearly had what I ordered printed on it. They told us they can send us the right order but it will take a half an hour and that we have to return the wrong meal which is fine but weird who takes food back.we declined the offer I was not waiting more time for the right meal to come just so it can be cold I was already frustrated. Being charged more for a meal you did not order is crazy to me. Last time I order food from this place. I've had Peruvian food before and this place was not it! read more

my dinner was great and came very quickly. I ordered the Lomo Saltado which i definitely recommend. To drink I ordered the passion fruit smoothie but unfortunately it tasted very artificial so it was a bit off putting. Service was great, the waitress was very polite. my grandmother had ordered Chicharon with her meal but it came a bit soggy. Also the plantain on her dish was a bit undercooked. Other than that everything else was great. I will still come again in hopes that things are a bit more consistent with the cooking and I'll just have to order something different as a beverage. read more

BEWARE MANDATORY 20% SERVICE FEE. Food was solid. No complaints there, besides the fact that most Peruvian places I've been to in Milford, Hartford and other towns use chicken breast instead of chicken thigh like this place uses. But overall the food was great! Service on the other hand... TERRIBLE! A 20% service fee is obligatory, and charged as a tip, not a service fee, on your check. Which is weird because various IRS and state laws state restaurants can charge a service fee but it must be charged as a service fee on the bill, otherwise it can be considered theft if the "gratuity", as it is displayed on the check, was not customer selected, as mine was not. The ambiance, as a result of the latter part of my time here, was not good. Overall 2.5/5 but cant choose that so I hit em with a 2. Kinda disappointed as the food was really solid! read more

I placed my first and last order on Mother's Day. I ordered delivery via their website. About an hour later I got a call from the delivery driver that the restaurant told him that they canceled my order. The restaurant didn't call me. Nor did they alert the driver not to come. Completely unprofessional. I know Mother's Day is busy but that is not a good excuse for such poor service. Is the food good here? I can't say - this review is solely based on the customer service experience. read more

This place hits the spot, deep down and like a rock! I love supporting little businesses like this because although they seem to be in a spot you "can't miss" you will miss it if you don't look, definitely worth a little drive in over even the bread with sauce in the beginning will have you dancing salsa and bachata fluently they deliver and have take out or dine in. Trust me ask for extra green sauce you'll want it. read more

We came here to try Peruvian food for the first time, and we definitely picked the right place. We were around the area and decided to get some Peruvian food and by reading at previous reviews we thought to give it a try. The place is nice and clean. The service was great, but the most important, the food looked great but unfortunately it was tasteless. We order Saltado de carne, bistec a lo pobre and ceviche de pescado. None of the plates had salt at all. May be we just went on a day when the chef was not in the mood to cook . And on top of that ... they automatically added the 20% tip on a table for 3. Here is the ceviche ... looked great! read more

I ordered two "lomo saltados" from this place. Let's just say I am beyond disappointed with the food and service. The staff was extremely rude and the food was not prepared the way it should have been. The portions were extremely small considering the price they are charging for the dish. We received meat and less than a cup of rice. The meat was thrown in a dish with possibly two pieces of tomato, some onions and no fries. When I called to inquire about the dish, the guy taking the orders had no clue what lomo saltado was and was extremely confused. Very concerning. Considering how many Peruvian restaurants are out there, we definitely won't be coming back. read more

The pricing is reasonable too. Multiple options available as far meats and seafood. Visit this place because it's worth it. read more

Worst experience at a restaurant, I order a ceviche Mixto, they brought me a fish ceviche, when I complained about the fish ceviche, they told me that that's how they serve the ceviche mixto, so I told them that I didn't want it anymore, so Carolina our waitress, told me that I have to pay for it anyways, because they already served in the table, and because I mixing the Fish ceviche looking for the rest of the seafood, the rest of the food was disgusting, and in top of that, the added to check the 20% OF GRATUITY! Service, management, and food was sooo bad, I love Peruvian food, but that one that they have in this restaurant, is only for the eyes photoshopped plates for internet. I never write reviews, it takes a lot to get me to write one. I used to be a waitress for a few years back in the day, so there is a way to take care of people. Went here for lunch a little less than two hours ago today with my partner. He speaks English and Spanish. I speak only English. The place was empty. We sit down and the female waitress, didn't get her name, she had long black or dark brown straight hair and a mole by her top lip and was taking care of tables not behind the bar. Anyway, she ignored me the whole time as if I wasn't there. I understand a little Spanish so could follow the conversation. My partner and I were at a table sitting across from each other. She came to take our order and would not even look in my direction AT ALL. Body language and eye contact all to him. My partner ordered for us and I jumped in to ask her if she can make sure no shrimp since he's allergic and if she can bring a spicy sauce on the side since he likes more heat. And she did not even turn her neck at all to give eye contact to me. Completely ignored me and spoke only with him. She checks in when the food comes out, doesn't look at me just him. Then he asked in Spanish that I wanted my food to go, she brings a box so as she's walking to our table I put my hand out to take the to go container and thank her...BUT she ignored me like a ghost and went and gave him the to go container no acknowledgement at all. At this point I was getting frustrated. It's VERY rude. As we walk out I forget my container that I packed to go so she said something in Spanish to him and I didn't understand and he said we're good thanks. So then I turn to him and said "I forgot my food I'll go get it." I go to the table she had the container in her hand so I go "no no I forgot the food." She threw it on top of his leftover plate and the container opened and her thumb literally went into the to go container where my food was and then IN ENGLISH she goes "oh sorry you wanted that". That's when I really got upset because she spoke English which means the whole time she was taking care of us she could have acknowledged me but didn't and was just rude. I go out to a lot of Latin food restaurants and even if I don't speak Spanish they acknowledge my presence and NEVER was I treated like that. I didn't take the food, I told her "I just saw your finger go into it, no I don't want it now" and then just left. Casual spot. Service is horrible. Rude. Ceviche was okay, very acidic but also salty. The lomo saltado and pollo saltado were good, I wanted to take my half home but that didn't happen. read more
