I started with the yuca a la huancaína, but the sauce was overly thick, lacked the authentic flavor and ingredients, and did not resemble the dish shown on the restaurant's website. The yuca itself tasted like frozen yuca. For main course, I ordered fish fillet and corvina, a traditional Peruvian fish that was also one of the more expensive menu items. The dish arrived cold, dry, and lacking freshness. The side of beans was dry and flavorless, and the sweet plantains were overly ripe and extremely greasy. I brought these concerns to the waiter's attention and showed him my plate, explaining that I did not want to eat the dish. I did not order a replacement because I was dissatisfied with the quality of the food. When the bill arrived, I was charged for the meal I did not eat, and a 20% gratuity had already been added. This was not clearly disclosed, and I only discovered it after questioning an additional charge on the bill. The restaurant is established in a old building but the inside is very nice, magnificentlyincorporating Peruvian art and culture. The menu has lots of authentic traditional Peruvian dishes, all with their real name, the explained in details what they are made of. We started with a pitcher of chicha morada, very interesting drink, made out of Peruvian purple corn. We got complementary bread with yummy green sauce. For entree I got try the sudado de pescado, a lovely steamed fish filet, cooked perfectly in delicious onion tomato based broth. Loved it with rice. The arroz de mariscos was an excellent seafood Paella. All seafood items in the dish were beautifully cooked. Paella rice was very complementary to the dish. Our server was amazing, did his best to explain everything in English. Check on us multiple times. Food was served in a quick time. Overall it was a wholesome Peruvian dining experience. read more

What a gem of a place! This place is definitely off the beaten path. I lived in this city and this is the first time visiting this restaurant which has been there for 15 years. We stopped in for dinner and were pleasantly surprised. I had the ceviche mixto which was various types of seafood in a semi spicy sauce, it was so refreshing and good. Probably the best ceviche I have ever had. My girlfriend had a sampler ceviche without any shrimp and shellfish. She loved it, her ceviche was with the real spicy sauce. The restaurant from outside did not look like much, but once inside, it was really nice. The food presentation was really top notch! The service was really good. Before heading to the other side of the state looking at counter tops I had looked up places to eat and this place and one other caught my interest. When we asked at the shop if they knew of the place they had often ordered takeout, so off we set. We were not disappointed, I order a shrimp ceviche and hubby a steak entree, sorry can't remember which ones. I asked for medium spice on mine(waiter actually had a surprised look when I ordered a ceviche dish lol) it was just the tight amount of spice and totally delish! We ordered delivery last night and had no idea it went through DoorDash. The driver accepted it and marked it complete, we had to call the restaurant and pick it up in person. They refused to refund the delivery fee and tip, which came to $14. DoorDash said it's on the restaurant since the order went through their website. So we are out $14. This was my first time trying Peruvian cuisine. The cocktails were amazing - chicha morada, Inca cola and piscina sour. The appetizer was papa o yuca a la huanciana which was served with roasted corn kernels. Entrées were lomo palace, saltado de mariscos and arroz con mariscos. I was blown away by the flavors, textures and the taste of these delicious dishes. I loved the variety of seafood, including shrimp, mussels, and squid, which were cooked just right, steak cooked to perfection with the fried plantain and served with a perfectly cooked egg. Everything was truly delicious and we ended our lunch with delicious tres leche and a complimentary drink (I forgot the name). This mysterious drink was so delicious. I will definitely go back to this amazing place and try their other dishes as well! The server kept checking on us and was in no rush at all! I loved the beautiful murals on the walls. The L in Lomo must be for legendary! Today I had the best lomo ever at Ceviche palace. I've always known its one of their most popular dishes but its never been my thing. Well, I think that's changed now! Its especially good with their fried sweet plantains. I also noticed they made new renovations to the restuarant and it looks and feels amazing in here! We got our food delivered and they sent us the wrong meal. I was highly disappointed considering I waited for my food over an hour! The food was cold and the chicken was hard and stale no flavor at all. We called to tell them they sent us the wrong order. I had the receipt that clearly had what I ordered printed on it. They told us they can send us the right order but it will take a half an hour and that we have to return the wrong meal which is fine but weird who takes food back.we declined the offer I was not waiting more time for the right meal to come just so it can be cold I was already frustrated. No complaints there, besides the fact that most Peruvian places I've been to in Milford, Hartford and other towns use chicken breast instead of chicken thigh like this place uses. But overall the food was great! Service on the other hand... TERRIBLE! A 20% service fee is obligatory, and charged as a tip, not a service fee, on your check. Which is weird because various IRS and state laws state restaurants can charge a service fee but it must be charged as a service fee on the bill, otherwise it can be considered theft if the "gratuity", as it is displayed on the check, was not customer selected, as mine was not. The ambiance, as a result of the latter part of my time here, was not good. Overall 2.5/5 but cant choose that so I hit em with a 2. Kinda disappointed as the food was really solid! read more

To drink I ordered the passion fruit smoothie but unfortunately it tasted very artificial so it was a bit off putting. Service was great, the waitress was very polite. my grandmother had ordered Chicharon with her meal but it came a bit soggy. Also the plantain on her dish was a bit undercooked. Other than that everything else was great. The staff was extremely rude and the food was not prepared the way it should have been. The portions were extremely small considering the price they are charging for the dish. We received meat and less than a cup of rice. The meat was thrown in a dish with possibly two pieces of tomato, some onions and no fries. I never write reviews, it takes a lot to get me to write one. I used to be a waitress for a few years back in the day, so there is a way to take care of people. Went here for lunch a little less than two hours ago today with my partner. He speaks English and Spanish. I speak only English. The place was empty. We sit down and the female waitress, didn't get her name, she had long black or dark brown straight hair and a mole by her top lip and was taking care of tables not behind the bar. Anyway, she ignored me the whole time as if I wasn't there. I understand a little Spanish so could follow the conversation. My partner and I were at a table sitting across from each other. She came to take our order and would not even look in my direction AT ALL. Body language and eye contact all to him. My partner ordered for us and I jumped in to ask her if she can make sure no shrimp since he's allergic and if she can bring a spicy sauce on the side since he likes more heat. And she did not even turn her neck at all to give eye contact to me. Completely ignored me and spoke only with him. She checks in when the food comes out, doesn't look at me just him. Then he asked in Spanish that I wanted my food to go, she brings a box so as she's walking to our table I put my hand out to take the to go container and thank her...BUT she ignored me like a ghost and went and gave him the to go container no acknowledgement at all. At this point I was getting frustrated. It's VERY rude. As we walk out I forget my container that I packed to go so she said something in Spanish to him and I didn't understand and he said we're good thanks. So then I turn to him and said "I forgot my food I'll go get it." I go to the table she had the container in her hand so I go "no no I forgot the food." She threw it on top of his leftover plate and the container opened and her thumb literally went into the to go container where my food was and then IN ENGLISH she goes "oh sorry you wanted that". That's when I really got upset because she spoke English which means the whole time she was taking care of us she could have acknowledged me but didn't and was just rude. I go out to a lot of Latin food restaurants and even if I don't speak Spanish they acknowledge my presence and NEVER was I treated like that. I didn't take the food, I told her "I just saw your finger go into it, no I don't want it now" and then just left. Casual spot. Service is horrible. Rude. Ceviche was okay, very acidic but also salty. The lomo saltado and pollo saltado were good, I wanted to take my half home but that didn't happen. read more
