Posts claims she is the best but don't be fooled most of her crew will be enabling her to think she is more than her output. I was celebrating a birthday with a friend who had a designated driver and was cut off for some reason. She was chill and wasn't harming anyone's bar experience. Having frequented this place for the first time in my twenty something years of living in Westminster several years ago, and after passing by this bar daily as a curious youngster wondering, "Wow, how interesting that the sign is in French! I wonder what it's like inside?" Let's just say this local bar is not for the young hipster(s) trying to discover a new place to hang in the fabulously ghetto city of Westminster. Hence, I understand Christina T.'s one star review, since I have been kindly informed upon my second visit by one of the matured female bartenders that the bar's "crowd is bit hard for you girls." There is, however, one redeeming quality about the place if you are ever passing through and need a quick drink, it's dirt cheap! I cannot complain about a $7 shot of Patron Anejo especially when the Patron Silver could run you $10-12 anywhere else. I have been here about half a dozen times and have never stayed longer than fifteen minutes except maybe the first time with a group of friends - booze up and get out! Apparently, this bar is as old as the business strip that was first erected in the early fifties! The fact that it has survived after so many years certainly shows how the locals really do provide the business and the longevity that makes it almost a historic site in this city. read more

This place is lame and So unprofessional. If your not going to card at the door don't try telling someone they can't stay with their passport. It's a legal federal form of identification. Don't be a shady ass bartender and go tattle to the fat "bouncer" who told us he didn't work there when we tried showing him our ids. We bought beers before you even carded so let us finish our beers in peace before we head out. We did spend money there. If you would have cared before and told us no we would have left end of story instead of purchase something just to be discriminated against. Don't have your bouncer say "I don't want to be the bad guy" to other patrons in the bar. it was 5 minutes while we finished our beers. I noticed everything. So childish. Ok... This place would have 5 stars, but the Juke box is a bit weak. FYI... possibly the strongest drinks in WESTMINSTER for a low price! No need for shots. Dive bars will always hold a special place in my heart because of the C'est Si Bon or "THE BON", for short. read more

Checked out this bar for the first time last night, and I have to say, I didn't hate it. There's no beer on tap, but I'm not above a tall can, and actually found that option oddly charming? The bartender was straightforward and real as the streets, and I felt special because she was nice to me and my lady. The regulars can suck my b-hole for their unnecessary commentary upon our entry, but I'd come back again (with my own set of darts) to play darts here and drink a couple brewskies. read more

One of my top ten favorites! It saddens me that theres a handful of people that are hating on this place. Sure, its a dive..sure, its mainly an older & working crowd, but its no surprise from the moment you walk in..so if you dont like this kind of atmosphere...then SCRAM. .the moment you walk in....this place is too cool for skool. My boyfriend's grampa showed us this place and he is quite the regular so we have gotten to know the bartender ladies and they are nothing but sweethearts. You cant beat the drink prices...or the quality. Its a dark bar but it sets the mood. Awesome jukebox....pool tables...and some lounge seating. If you don't mind a dive-y, locals bar. I deffinetely reccomend this one. The drinks are very reasonable. The bathrooms arent too bad, LADIES. They have a pretty up to date jukebox... The pool tables are 50 cents a game and they have free pop corn. What more could you ask for? Good for dancing, if you don't mind being the only dancing to the jukebox. read more

This place has all the makings of a great dive: surly old bartender, great sign outside, right off the 405 exit, 50 cent pool games, cheap drinks. Why the one star rating? I felt I was treated unfairly and discriminated against here. I was denied a drink and asked to wait outside after presenting my passport as an ID. A US Passport is a valid ID according to CA state law. Susan, the bartender, looked it up and down and said she wouldn't accept it. Why did she analyze my passport for so long before telling me she wouldn't serve me? My friend even showed her the CA state law on his iphone. She read it and said "Oh, I'll have to look into it," clear that she never would. What I really sensed was a hint of racism in the way Susan treated me. The clientele here is mostly middle-aged, blue collar white folk and I am neither of those things. She wouldn't even let me wait for my 2 friends to finish their drinks. I had to wait outside like a dog. I understand needing to check ID at a bar and making sure everyone in your establishment has their ID. Susan served people right in front of me without checking to make sure they had ID. Once she made her decision about me she didn't want to listen to any facts. Needless to say I won't come back and I will insist on avoiding it if it makes the lineup for a night out. Tonight, I walked over to Dino's then International Billiards to play pool and drink beer where they gladly accepted my ID. read more

The bar experience is great here. I have never had a problem with any of the bartenders. Susan is one of the best in the business and should be tipped as so. I know of a few people on here that are trying to put her on blast because they have personal vendettas but take my word for it. She is worth your time as a personal courtesan. I love this place! While it may not be fancy, this is like a second home. Almost everyone knows each other, and they are willing to get to know you if you are new.Its a neighborhood bar and everyone is either a local and/or a regular. Its not the kind of establishment you want to go to if you want guys to be falling at your feet to get you a drink, or girls to be fawning to have you buy them one. It is the kind of place you go to relax and have some fun with friends and drinks. Now for the most important part, the drinks. Susan is the best bartender and a fabulous mixologist. Ask her to surprise you and she will not let you down. The drinks are always good and the price is something everyone can appreciate. I have been there only a few times but every time I felt welcome. Even had drinks bought for me because I was new. It is a regulars kind of bar but they are friendly. I like going because it's a neighborhood bar that has NFL sunday ticket! Don't know about the baseball package though. They make a good drink at a good price. Don't go there on Tuesday nights- The Bartender is a nut job. If you question her service she calls you a troublesome customer. This place is awesome. Susan is always super cool and knows me by name and my order. The prices are great and usually there is a good crowd of regulars. I almost wish I drank more so I could come see everyone. Its also nice knowing your car is safe overnight if you get a little too crazy and need to uber home. This is a hidden gem. Perfect to shot pool relax and have some drinks. Susan is by far the best bartender. she's friendly she pays attention to small details that make all the difference in my opinion.Those that have said such negative things probable have never been there because its laid back friendly and its not your typical bar full of crazy drunks it seems to me everyone is always nice and makes you feel ok to be yourself.
