Yum. Great, friendly, welcoming service and fabulous authentic food make Cessar's a 5 star in my book. The place is not fancy, even a little dated so don't expect an upscale taqueria. We ordered a mix of corn tacos and Quesabirria tacos up at the counter then took a seat. Our server, brought out water and samples of their frijoles rancheros. The beans were fresh, spicy and delicious. The food is prepared fresh and takes 12 or so minutes to come out. The chicken tacos were delicious and refreshing. The chicken was tender and moist. I added lime and bit of their spicy green sauce. The Quesabirria taco was fabulous - packed with spicy tender beef and cheese and a crunchy fried shell. The taco was served with Birria juice. When the server saw that the tacos were too spicy for my granddaughter, he brought her a big plate of rice, which she loved. I was touched by his kindness. They serve a mix of Mexican sodas and $1 coffee (no alcohol). They also serve breakfast options. They are located a block off interstate 70 with east on and off.

Small taco shop in front of Home Depot parking lot. Not gonna lie, the establishment is not very inviting and it lacks esthetics BUT these places have the best tacos and I know it. Cessar Tacos was no exception. I wasn't super hungry so I just got two tacos- barbacoa and asada. There are more than 10 to choose from- so it was a hard decision. My order was ready in about ten minutes. tacos had lots of cilantro and onion just how I like them. I loved how tender the barbacoa was and asada had great seasoning. Highly recommended. Reasonably priced. Give them a try!

Ambience is quick cafe style, you can eat in, but the carry out business is booming! We ate in and the service was excellent. Food was fresh and hot, presentation was superb check the pics. I had the fish tacos, and they were heaped with ingredients and piping hot. Be warned the red sauce is hot, but the green sauce will light you up! Wife had the chicken fajitas she said it was a 5 of 5. Daughter has the steak fajitas and she rated a 5 of 5! Overall excellent. Dont let the exterior scare you off this is a great local original Mexican restaurant!!!!

Went here and the meat in the taco was Burnt. See picture for evidence. Also my brother ordered a veggie fajitas taco and they gave him beans with lettuce and tomato's that's it. On top of that it took 30-45 mins to get this crap. Horrible dinner couldn't even finish.

Great Food. Authentic. I used to live in Southern California and I have returned to the Midwest a couple years ago. This is one of the best places to take me back to So cal!

Happened to be hungry and in the east side. I'm always on the lookout for hole in the wall authentic taco places. This place did not disappoint! It's located in a old waffle house and they maintained that vibe with no real updates inside. The sign out front still maintains the waffle house aesthetic. My wife and I both had tacos. I had the Barbacoa Birria tacos, which were absolutely phenomenal. Seasoned well and the portions were very large. My wife had chicken and she said that they were very good too. We both shared chips and guac. The chips were thin variety. The were super fresh and fried to order. The guacamole was extremely fresh and very tasty. The service and staff was friendly and attentive. The prices were reasonable. Highly recommend checking this place out!

Huevos rancheros; over easy eggs and salsa verde, with beans and rice.

Conveniently located north of 21st street on Post Rd., they serve solid tacos and other items. I enjoyed the Huevos Rancheros with two over-easy eggs on top of fried tortillas (and a few tortillas were served on the side), with refried beans, rice, and a small helping of lettuce/tomato. The eggs were covered with Salsa Verde that was obviously homemade and absolutely delicious. Very friendly servers and chef. It might have taken a bit longer than expected to be served, but it was well worth the wait.

Great service. Food was cooked to perfection and ready quickly. Their selection is phenomenal. Easily the best tacos I've had in a very long time. I had asada, barbacoa, carnitas and camarones.

I have always loved tacos, so I'm alwayd down to try new tacos. This place moved into a vacated Waffle House, and we were so bummed about the loss of all-night terrible food, we ignored Cesar and his tacos. Husband and I decided to try it out when I discovered they have birria tacos. I see pictures of birria constantly, and even made some based on a Pinterest recipe, but I've never had them made by somebody who knows what they're doing. I believe these were made by angels. They were some of the best tacos I have ever had and the consume is just amazing. My husband had a lengua torta and raved about that as well. DO NOT let this location intimidate you, it's really not a bad spot (the traffic in and out kinda sucks). This place is phenomenal.

While the initial presentation was a bit more understated than I anticipated, the flavor was a total 8/10 triumph! The staff was also incredibly accommodating when it came to my preferences; they brought over a lovely selection of chips and sauces, but were perfectly gracious when I mentioned I prefer to avoid the heat. The tacos (your choice of protein) were $1.49 each. I was honestly surprised that they had plenty of onions, cilantro, two different sauces & a baggie of radishes & limes for that price. I will say, I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because the shredded chicken although clearly seasoned (color wise) with sazon, it was dried completely out with only a hint of flavor. I added the green sauce on the chicken ones and it gave it a little umph but then I tasted the amazing seasoning in the rice and beans & WOW. I put a little of both on the chicken tacos and that was just what they needed. All in all the tacos were an 8/10 and the rice+beans were 10/10. The rice was cooked perfectly & the best compliment to the soupy beans. Parking: TERRIBLY positioned & shared lot, spots are tight & all the businesses stay with a crowd. Service: the cashier wasn't unpleasant BUT I had every intention on sitting down and eating inside (they have about 8 tables and 4 small booths) but she assumed I wanted it to-go without asking me as she asked the family of Spanish/hispanic/latino/a heritage before AND after me. In the moment I didn't feel slighted because I think I was just so tired & hangry but it definitely is memorable now that I'm writing the review a day later. I could have very well corrected her and said I wanted to dine in but I'm not one to force it when I feel unwanted or unwelcomed . This by no means discredits the food, it was wonderful & so was the price. I wouldn't go as far as to say I'll never be back because it would be a lie - what I WILL do moving forward is speak up for myself as it could have been done unintentionally.

As we moved to the bar to wait for our food, the bartender informed us that he had put away the rim device to salt our glasses. We had already paid, so what were we to do. We said, "ok." Then we questioned what time they closed. We doubled checked, 9:30. It was only 8:30. I don't prefer a margarita without salt but felt stuck. Also, it wasn't as if we were the last ones to come in. I counted at least 6 parties that came in after us. The chorizo queso was excellent. The tacos were decent. However, while it may seem like a small thing, the lack of salt on the rim of my $12 margarita really sunk this place for me. I've never bartended, but I don't feel like it's a lot of work to salt a rim. Even if the stuff was put away (an hour early).

The restaurant is sleek and has a cool vibe, but we immediately realized it was not going to be what we thought of when we saw "street tacos" mentioned during Google search. It's more of a metropolitan American Soul fusion place, with a heavy emphasis on loaded, uniquely flavored tacos instead of traditional Mexicana. The server was wonderful in explaining their menu and gave multiple recommendations, which I went with all of her great suggestions once I told her what I was craving. My husband didn't enjoy his appetizer, saying it tasted too sweet instead of savory for him, but the server was great at being aware of our plates and took the appetizer off our bill when she noticed he wasn't eating it without us even mentioning it. I got three different tacos, and the only one I didn't enjoy was due to the Mac n cheese that was stuffed in it. It just didn't taste or feel right having a taco with macaroni that was pushed in so densely that it became a sponge. The other two were great! My husband gave his burrito a 3/5, as he felt it was too much one note. Overall, don't come here if you're looking for upscale Mexicana, but instead want to enjoy interesting fusion flavors and fun cocktails. Great place for a group outing or celebration!

I don't usually shop at a Mexican grocery unless I am looking for cotija cheese for making elote. However, I entered the grocery because the sign in front of the restaurant entrance said it was closed. I clearly saw people working at the food counter and a customer standing there, so I went through the grocery to see what was going on. Apparently, nobody had removed the sign and left a "caution" cone blocking the door. Anyway, after the weird start, I enjoyed my experience. The colorful dining room has lots of festival streamers hanging from the ceiling and loud Mexican music playing. (Note that the grocery has an equally loud sound system playing something completely different so you get a weird stereo effect that is hard to tune out.) The dining booths go about half way back into the restaurant on both sides. Beyond the left side is a cooking area with a large menu posted over the top. Even though there is a counter at the cooking area, you don't order there. Behind you on the right near the back of the restaurant is a smaller counter with a cash register and a menu booklet that you order from. Once you place your order and pay, you wait and they will bring it out to you. Note that any beverages are sold in bottle form and are self-serve from the cooler next to the order counter. The wait was fairly short considering they prepare the entrees to order. I went with a couple tacos (with the cilantro and white onion) and ordered rice and beans. Apparently the cashier had a little trouble understanding me when I ordered the Asada and Pollo tacos. I was brought out the Asada and Lomo instead. (I was the only customer at the time.) But, instead of sending it back, I like pork loin as well as chicken, so I simply added some green sauce (mild) and a few drops of red (supposed to be hot, but I didn't think it was that hot.) The tacos were excellent. They were served on double layered corn tortillas. I usually prefer flour, but wasn't given an option here. These were the best tasting corn tortilla shells I've had. And the ingredients inside were delicious with the added items being colorfully fresh. The side of beans and rice were forgettable. Not bad, just lacking much texture and flavor. Very bland and not much other than filler when compared to the robust flavor of the tacos. The staff was friendly and the restaurant was pretty clean looking, so given the high quality of flavor, I would recommend stopping by to quench your Mexican food cravings. Review #2698

I knew that I liked the food, and I have previously enjoyed the atmosphere at their Carmel location, so I felt that it was a safe choice. I wasn't thrilled about that, at first, but several larger groups were seated in the same area near the entrance. The booth was spacious and comfortable, and the decor is very bright and vibrant. I ordered the Marg of the Month for May, which was the Bee Sting Margarita. It is made with jalapeno honey and lots of slices of fresh jalapeno. Between those aspects and the bite of the tequila...I quickly understood why it was given that name! If you like a spicy marg, I would definitely suggest! I also ordered the Chips & Salsa Flight for the table. I chose the Roasted Red and Chile de Arbol salsas, along with the guac and queso. I loved all of the dips...except the chile de arbol. It was just spicy...and nothing else. No flavor other than hot. LOL For our entrees, I ordered the Steak Fajitas. I probably could've fed the entire family with the portion that I received.
