It was probably one of the best decision we made that year. Cesar's Place is a great Mexican Seafood restaurant. The shrimp cocktail is yummy. But my favorite is the shrimp burrito con bacon. I was told about the place's shrimp cocktail. I didn't know anything else about the place. I ordered the coctele camaromes? and a torta. The shrimp cocktail was really good. It was Mexican style with chunks of tomatoes, avocado, and tons of shrimp in a huge fishbowl glass. It was $10 but totally worth it. I would consider myself a conoisseur of micheladas, and this is by FAR the BEST MICHELADA I have ever had. Yummy! I went in thinking I would share one with my boyfriend and I ended up having 2 full ones to myself. Oh, and did I mention they are giant? I used to really love this place, but my last visit here will not have me returning. My husband ordered a tostada and chile verde plate. I ordered the taco and pulpo cocktail. We recieved out food minus the chile verde. Taco was good but my pulpo cocktail looked like someone chewed it up and spit it out. My hubby was waiting on the chile verde never came. It wasn't a big deal because he was already full from the tostada. We just assumed the waitress forget to put in the order, so when we got our check we were surprised that the chile verde was on there. No biggie we told the waitress, to our surprise she said we did recieve the chile verde. She pointed to the tostada. No sorry that is NOT chile verde. It didn't even have chile verde in it, it was carne asada. Then she pointed to the empty box. Really!!! , at this point I'm becoming frustrated as I open the box to show he it was empty . She's the one who brought the box out for our left overs. She the proceded to point to the 3 jalapeños that were on a plate. No sorry that isn't chile verde either. She then told us she will remove it from our tab. She came back and told us that the jalapeños is the chile verde. Really??? Are you fucking kidding me??? 3 jalapeños for $8.00 and she's insisting this is chile verde. She knows damn well that the 3 measley jalapeños sitting on a plate are NOT chile verde. So instead of arguing to here about it( which I already had been) we decided to PAY THE $8 for the 3 jalapeños on the plate. The waitress was rude about the whole situation. I hired Cesar's Place for my wedding and I got so many compliments on the food! We had the chicken and shrimp fajitas, fish ceviche, salad, quesadillas, beans, rice and Aguas Frescas. I couldn't have been happier with how everything turned out! Our previous caterer cancelled on us about a month before our wedding so we were pretty stressed out trying to find someone last minute. A friend recommended we go to Super Rica, right down the street, but the line there was crazy long and we were getting hungry enough to consider eating our own wrists. We walked down the street and stumbled across Cesar's...in contrast to Super Rica, the place was almost empty, which made us a little worried. However, once our food came, we realized we made a good choice. The cerviche was great, as was the chile verde, and the service was polite, attentive, and helpful, and it certainly didn't hurt that the bill for two entrees, a starter, and two beers was under $30.00. Love this place. It is a very well kept secret. I always see everyone down the street waiting in that dumb line, for greasy mexican food with way too much cheese, at the blue colored place down the street and laugh. If they only knew that a black away was home to an amazing ceviche, or the delicious vuelve a la vida. One of my favorites though is any of the tortas served ahogada. The red sauce with chorizo that they smother the torta in is amazing. The wet burritos are delicious too. The green sauce that they mix with a little crema is great and spicy how i like it read more

She says yes until the end, at which point she says "We don't have delivery". Really confusing. The best michelada and shrimp cocktail I've ever had, and I tried both at countless places. What I love about both of them is that they are perfect "as is" and nothing else needs to be added- no additional salt needed, no more lime juice....they come out perfect every time and do not need any doctoring up. The waitresses are very nice, the service is a little slow at peak times but the food is definitely worth the wait. I have ventured all over their menu and have not been disappointed with anything except the fish and chips which were too salty for my taste. This is now my go to place for seafood and I recommend this place to anybody who loves a good cocktail and to die for michelada. read more

I asked for some extra limón and fresh chopped chile on the side and the chef happily accommodated me. The vuelve a la vida was good too, though I preferred the shrimp cocktail.
