Mike had his tech perform a tranny diagnostic and gave me peace of mind that the transmission issue wasn't all in my head (like the other place was treating me). He even called the dealership when the service director there was not listening to me. Mike did not charge me anything for the diagnostic work and even called me to follow up to make sure that the problem was taken care of. Because of the terms of my warranty, I likely won't be able to have AAMCO perform the work on my car, but after my warranty has expired, I will definitely go to the Council Bluffs AAMCO for any future issues on my current and future cars. That is just to figure out what is wrong and not part of what the repair will cost you. Now, I understand that they can't just waste their time chasing codes for free, but yes that was a little steep. I paid it because I needed my car repaired, and I really do like them. That being said, they now charge $253 to diagnose a check engine light. I just cannot afford to pay $250 simply to walk in the door before the repair pricing even begins, so I have had no choice but to take my car repair business elsewhere. They do a fantastic job, the techs are wonderful, the repairs have been good, but they have priced me out of being able to take my car to them. I do recommend them if you can afford them because they do good work. Just be prepared for the price.
