Service was quick, friendly, and most important to a young adult, affordable without sacrificing quality. Conveniently located across from a strip club, Fred's is a great place for your car repair. As a female, I am usually skeptical about car repairs, figuring the mechanic will try to screw me as much as possible. I haven't had this experience at Fred's. I feel the guys there are super honest and nice. As well, they are really flexible, you can pretty much just show up in the morning and they will fit you in. And this is why I love Yelp. I'm happy to say that I can preserve Fred's 5-star rating with my own review. This is where I'll be going from here on out. When my car Vincent (named because he was once missing a side mirror, recalling a missing ear) was new, "Sex and Candy" was a top song. I will drive the damned thing into the ground (hopefully not literally) so it's important to stay on top of maintenance for me. My ABS light came on this past week, and after filling my tires, Vince still felt a bit shaky. Service was due about this time anyhow, so I perused Yelp and decided on Fred's. I couldn't be happier. My car was fully serviced and a puncture was fixed in my tire in less than 30 minutes for a reasonable price. The ABS light is off, Vince isn't shaking, and we can probably soldier on for another 50,000 miles, as long as I keep going to Fred's. Thanks, guys! read more

We have been going to Freds for 15 years. They are honest, fair and work really hard to get your repairs done as quickly as possible. If they can fix it, they will give you a great price, if they can't they can refer you to a place that will help you as well. They do oil changes and drive you to work. I took my daughter's car to this place for an oil change after finding them on Yelp. I was in town for the weekend and had no idea where to go but am so glad I found this little shop. The mechanic, Kevin, was super cool and honest. When he had the car up in the air to change the oil, he found that the sway bars were both broken and found where the car had a coolant leak. He showed me everything and then told me what to do and where I should go to get this stuff fixed. He said he didn't do the coolant repair to the auxiliary water pump there but that the guy across the street could fix it. He said the sway bars were an inexpensive thing to fix and what I needed to do about taking care of that. I really appreciated his honesty and recommendations. Sometimes it's hard to find when it comes to auto shops. I highly recommend this shop. read more

We just bought a clean used MKZ for my wife from another excellent local Omaha business and I knew it needed front tires. So I went to Freds and they fixed me up w TWO Excellent used tires(looked practically brand new !!) installed the total was $96.60. Installed while I waited and they checked over my car and confirmed that this was a very good clean used car....A++ tire shop and gas service station. They still pump your gas and clean your windshield. read more
