As a fully remote organization, our leadership is not based in California, and state rules require Live Scan to be completed in-state. While our executive was traveling in California, we scheduled a Live Scan appointment with this provider based on a referral from a local partner. Initially, communication was responsive and professional. However, following the appointment, we never received the required receipt. Approximately one month later, I followed up to request it and received no response. Since then, our application has been placed on hold due to deficiencies related to the fingerprint submission. For several months, I have made repeated attempts to contact this provider via phone and email, with no response. We are only requesting the ATI number, which should be maintained on file as part of standard Live Scan requirements. Despite multiple outreach efforts--including attempts from colleagues--communication has ceased, and my number appears to have been blocked. At this point, our concern is not only the lack of responsiveness but also whether the fingerprints were submitted at all. This situation has caused significant delays in a process that is already time-consuming and costly. I strongly recommend avoiding this provider. For anyone familiar with California licensing, the process involves substantial fees and long processing times--working with an unreliable and unresponsive vendor only adds unnecessary risk and frustration. The second guy working there makes no eye contact and does not ask if he can help. He's just... standing there. After several minutes pass, the people in front of me have been helped and leave, they guy who was helping them leaves the shop, and finally Mr. Second Guy asks what I want. This part was easy, that it seems easy for him to find my email and print my 3 page PDF. ... and charges me $5 for three pages. It was just a prescription for my cat, very little ink on the cheap white paper. This will not become the business I regularly use for my printing or any other needs at all. I also loved that I didn't need an appointment and could just walk in during business hours. When I got to the address, I honestly wasn't sure where it was and was no indication on the outside from a distance. Live scan place is called Desert Live Scan. I parked and called the number. Woman was friendly and told me the business was inside Postal Connections. I walked in and was greeted, waited in line and was able to get my live scan done. Fee was only $25 which is reasonable and does it digitally. You can pay card or cash. Postal Connections does not only do live scans but rent P.O. Boxes, ship out packages by using USPS, UPS and Fed-EX. They also offer packing material and boxes in various sizes, trinkets and also does graphic design. Tons of parking and located in the Dollar Tree, CVS and Albertsons center. Place was also kept clean and organized. .
