Terrible customer service! called to learn why our bill went up 20% and was hung up on after they couldn't explain. Their response was to send me the vanilla vague email language corporate sent out which basically says nothing. We did it cause we can!! How is this not criminal to raise fees 20% for nothing in return? read more

I'm sick and tired of guys's service. The cable is cut and it's had a business. We're done with you where to go for T-Mobile's Internet access They're probably more efficient than you are. You guys always make an appointment to come out there and you never show up I'm done with your service. I'm going to a different Internet provider. Have a good day. read more

This was the single WORST example of customer service that I have EVER experienced, public or private. After 6 years as a CL customer, our Century Link ONT (Optical Network Terminal) at home died, no net access. This happened on Monday 7/22. I am an engineer and I know what I am doing. Our in-home switch, wifi and firewall all fine/ responsive from inside the house to the ONT. Using their remote tools I couldn't connect to the ONT so I know that was the problem. Repeated and frustrating calls to a shitty automated system _finally_ resulted in a Tech repair app't for August 1st, 10-11 days later. That's UNACCEPTABLE for a utility that we depend on. To make it even WORSE, I got a message at 7:45 on the day for tech visit that they'd arrive between 8 am and 12 pm. I took the day off from work to ensure I was available to work with the technician. One, two, three, four hours passed. Once it was noon, I checked online and the chat spport person (NOBODY on the phone AVAILABLE) said "The technician got a late start and now they're coming tomorrow 8/2". On the evening of 8/1 I got another text message from CL that said 8/2 was no longer available and I could CHOOSE ANOTHER DATE from 8/14, 8/15 or 8/16... nearly a MONTH after the incident happened!! On Friday 8/2 I canceled our service and demanded a refund for the last two weeks, which the "Request Representative" Deborah (Call the horrible, useless automated phone system and say "disconnect" and you'll get a human, by the way) said they would pay. Comcast comes to install their service in the morning. We depended on CL for internet service and work remotely. Besides filing a complaint with the BBB and the WA State Attorney's office, I will NEVER, ever use Century Link for any service again. STRONGLY discourage/ don't recommend! read more

Century link has the WORST customer service of any vendor I have ever worked with. Avoid them if you can. Update. This is the second day this week and the 4th day this year I have gotten a no show/no call on an open service request. The most unprofessional company I have ever dealt with. read more

When I moved to Seattle Centurylink sent a tech to set up my modem. This entails hooking up a device in a Fibre room that then feeds the apartment. The tech did not understand the difference between voice and data runs. The Jack's in the apartment are clearly labeled. To make a long story short, it took the Centurylink 8 hours to complete the job (only after he finally called in a tech who knew what he was doing) Just recently the internet access failed. I spent hours trying to get a tech to be dispatched. Multiple (8) remote chats finally resulted in Centurylink finally issuing a Service Dispatch which would be 5 days later. I canceled Centurylink as their technicians are, frankly, stupid, and their remote support are also useless read more

Absolutely the worst service provider I have ever seen for a large company. My parents have been trying to get them to repair their landline and internet since Thanksgiving. Several houses on the block are out. Multiple phone calls and appointments made. The tech never shows up. They wait for a response and never get a call (on their cell). This used to be a good company. Not anymore read more

Century link is horrible . Got it installed back in August 2023 they installed this huge wall block they drilled in my wall the service has been horrible always lagging and having to reboot several times a day always saying connection is weak . Never wants to credit for lagging service try to force you to have a telephone service $153 a month for service that lags is ridiculous sayfiber optic is a best wifi. Well we switched to xfinity for half the price and no issues at all now century link refuses to come uninstall the block they put in my wall and now charging me $100 for disconnecting their service and not returning their equipment that I can't install myself I'm not a electrician . 5 different appointments scheduled for pick up and removal and every time they are a no show wasting our day waiting. I would never use this company big scam read more

My elderly family (80s-90s) have not had regular land line service since June. They have contacted CenturyLink every 10-12 days, had an assurance that a repair tech would be out on such & such a date, no one ever shows or contacts them. It is now September 17, another appt was set for last week and no one showed or called or texted (they are functioning with a cell phone, but just barely know what they are doing). They have sat waiting at home all day 6 times with no results from anyone. This is unbelievable. On top of that, they keep getting billed and CL is now adding a late fee even though the company has had contact with them about getting that straightened out. I am going to contact the Attorney Generals office and file a complaint against the company. read more

Century Link gave me an appointment today to move my service for internet connection. It's a Saturday, when they won't answer the phone. I was told to be home from 8 am to 7 pm. I'm am complying. But wouldn't you think they'd send me a text or call to check in sometime before 7 pm? The "chat" function on the service page doesn't work. So irritating. Why is my time of no value to this company? I sure pay them a lot for their service. read more

Most of the time, out here in hickville, this works. Other times, it is a true pain in the kiester, because it makes things S L O W and unable to recover from buffering. You see...my entire life depends on this company. My work, my movie mania, my ability to stay connected to the news...but..I have no choice you see...or I would do something else. I thought when my phone carrier bought this company, it would be better, more to brag about, make me happier...but alas...it is not to be. Eh. read more

I wish i could give this company 0 stars because the service is literally A JOKE. None of them know how to do their job. How are they still in business. Been paying for over 2 months for fiber wifi that an advisor said my address is capable of getting. Never sent tech support to set it up/activate it. Every time i make an appointment with them, they cancel the day of EVERY SINGLE TIME WITH NO EXPLANATION. Literal peanut brains I swear. read more

This is a review for all Century Link, every where in the area. They provide our land line telephone service. It is IMPOSSIBLE to call them, and they are a telephone company! We must have a land line to control our security gate and to call the 13 phones around our property. We are the last people in our neighborhood to have a land line and we are paying about $125 a month for it. Our phone has been out for four days. The land line controls our gate, so without the phone we have no idea if someone is at the gate. That means that if we are expecting someone, we have to open the gate all day, opening up our property to strangers coming in. On-line, I set up an appointment for the tech to come out and fix the phone. We were given a date 3 days away. the window was 9-5! Good thing we are retired or we would have to take an entire day off. We sat around all day waiting. At 4 PM I went to the century Link web site, to the "Where's my technician?" I typed in the service number we had been given. To my horror, Century Link had moved our appointment 3 more days out without contacting us! The time frame on the new date, 9-5! This is a miserable, miserable company. Even if you want to disconnect with them, you have to be able to get them on the phone. I have been trying for years to get someone to do something about the 8-9 nuisance calls we get everyday. read more

Our internet service was out for two days. We had to wait one week for a tech to come out. Made the appt. but the tech never showed. Called again, after a half hour wait, we were told we needed to buy a new modem. Modem OK. My wife works from home she lost two days work, no pay! After much arguing, they offered us a two day credit. It's been two billing periods. no credit. Called back today, they deny any credit offered. How do they get away with this? read more

The Worst! Absolutely sucks. Constant buffering, slow speed and internet always drops off when needed most. I switched over from Comcast due to poor customer service from them but I am going back because at least their product works. read more

I have been without internet service for ten days now, and the technicians, supervisors and customer service representatives are sorry for the inconvenience and understand my frustration. So they say. If I call them after hours, (outside of 8-5), I get an automated answer that informs me there is an outage, that technicians are working to correct the issue and I will be notified when it's completed. Really? They keep changing the estimate for completion. For NINE days. I cannot recommend this company or it's tech support or the customer service department. read more

Century Link - Wait time on day one of service interruption - Internet Service Providers Near Me - Maple Valley, Washington

The WORST experience ever. The MOST TERRIBLE service ever. real BAD. I have spent about 5 hours on the phone with robots, waiting on hold, never getting a promised callback, hung up on, passed around, lied to. Chatting in their little chat message system that is mostly robots that ask you the same questions over and over. My account was charged when I cancelled service weeks ago. This is unacceptable. I went with another carrier that is equally terrible. Century Link is probably the only service in your area. That's why its overpriced. The speed slowed down after I cancelled the service the first time. The agent on the phone even admitted that. I had to cancel again, because the first agent didn't do his job properly and failed to disconnect the service. Then my account was charged. I WOULD NOT USE THIS SERVICE IF YOU HAVE ANOTHER OPTION. read more

I tried several times to have them set up internet and phone service. I work from home and need internet for my business. It took several attempts with nothing to show for it. The first time, the tech came out he said he couldn't complete the job because it would take too long and he had other jobs to complete that day. I had to call the main office to schedule a second tech to come out. The second techs came out a few days later. They came out late afternoon and said they couldn't finish the job. They said they would come back the next morning. Nobody showed up the next morning. I called the main office and was told nobody was scheduled to come out that day, so I had to schedule another appointment. I scheduled a third appointment for a week later. My wife scheduled Xfinity to come out at the same time. The Xfinity tech showed up first and had us up with internet and phone within the hour. I called CenturyLink and cancelled. read more

They don't even deserve 1 start. A bunch of useless thieves! My parents closed their account and was PAID IN FULL as of Aug 2018. It's almost the end of September and they are still processing ACH payments against their account. My parents can verify everything on their account EXCEPT the PW they initially set up their account with. So because of that, Mike from Customer Service refuses to help my elderly parents reset the PW or even look into stopping this payment and all other payments going forward. Horrible service. A bunch of thieves!!! Don't use this company, especially for your aging parents!!! read more

WORST COMPANY EVER!!! Do not use them if you have any choice Their internet constantly has issues Customer service is a run around joke where they voice you to talk to a damn machine for ten minutes before you can talk to a rep that doesn't know what's going on and is completely useless most of the time They also expect you to wait for their technician if you have a repair from 8 am - 5 pm, yeah not kidding, the whole fucking day the tech will show up and may or may not knock on a door and half the time you just get a robot call that they didn't see you waiting for them at some point for 10 hours DON't Give them your business!!!! read more

I'm not sure if our tech today was coming from this location but I've been waiting since 8:15 this morning for him. Now I'm told he'll be here by 2:30. What a waste of my day!!!!! Horrible service!!!! read more

Beyond worse than anything imaginable. If you have a problem, any problem, get ready for a 1-2 hour wait time. And if you are not happy with the result, because the agent needs to transfer you, get ready for another 1/2 an hour. You will be sorry if you ignore this post. They don't deserve one star but the system will not post unless I click that! read more

This has been the worst experience. I ordered service thinking I was getting the latest modem/router that they were advertising only to be given and old unit. Ten days later, no internet, 20+ hours on hold and being bounced from one department to another, disconcerted at least a dozen times, promised a call back from a supervisor twice, never was I called back, to finally get my modem and to be scheduled a service tech. I was given a 8 hour window. He showed up at hour number 10. He had to go check the service box down the street. He told me it would take 15-20 minute. I had to pick up my kids. I left him a note that I would be right back. 10 minutes max. He left. He denied my texts and phone calls pleading for him to come back. He filled out his service form that he was denied access to our equipment. This is not how you treat people. I filled a complaint with the attorney generals office as well. Do not recommend. read more

This is probably the worst phone/internet company with which I have ever dealt. Example 1. I needed to change the email listed on the online account. This ended up being a two and half hour phone call, as I was transferred 3 times, dropped and put on hold 3 times for 30 minutes each time. The incompetentcy was astounding. And this is if you can even get past the computer phone system that is designed to block you. It will usually take 15 minutes just to get someone on the line. Example 2. The first modem they shipped did not work. Trying to resolve this issue only took another one hour phone call - but then they charged me for that three weeks on initial service where the box didn't work. Another 90 minute phone call to try and get some kind of cost relief. The guy on the phone was so busy trying to sell me other products that the best I could get was a credit for $50 (although the initial bill was $245). But I decided to cut my losses because the support person didn't speak very good English, so it was just too frustrating trying to get anything across. Example 3 - Their website is lame. The billing seems behind (I just paid, and it still is telling me that I own money). The Online chat does not work. It is funny because if you try it, and ask "are you a bot", it just closes, now that is customer service! Unfortunately, I am force to use this service. I have never written a Yelp review before, but felt so strongly about this that I just had to post. If you can avoid using this company I highly recommend it. They need to completely abandon their current phone system - it does nothing but frustrate the user. Again, the absolute worse customer service system I have ever encountered, and yes, worse than Comcast. read more

I have not done business with them for years but they keep on coming to my door every 6 weeks trying to sell me stuff. I keep on asking to be removed from their list. They do not inform their staff how to get off the list. You will be sorry for doing business with them because they will hound you for years. read more

Century Link has absolutely horrible customer service.
