Came here on a Friday afternoon with a friend. Found this place via Yelp and cross checked with…read moreGoogle to confirm this is a place to stop by. This review is based on the hot hero sandwiches. I got the Chicken Ala Vodka which is breaded chicken, melted mozzarella with their homemade vodka sauce which was alright. I split this with my friend. My friend got the Crusader which is sliced steak, potato, onion rings, peppers and American cheese which was also alright. I think they mashed the potatoes with the sliced steak, not overly mashed potato texture though. I think my expectations were high but it's still a solid neighborhood spot. The place gets busy and seems people order in advance for pick up. The amount of food and fair prices definitely makes it worthy to stop by but I will stick to the cold sub heroes next time. * Street parking * Indoor dining * Fair prices

There is something that I felt like conveying. Mike is an awesome owner and an upstanding guy. This is a real great neighborhood place and parents absolutely should welcome their kids going there. I was online yesterday and one of the children was short a few bucks. Mike never even hesitated and proceeded with the girl's order. That to me is a standup guy. Parents should absolutely know that their kids are safe there and Mike will alwsys take care of them. I hope the parents know that and will continue to support this great establishment. I just wanted to pass along my praise. It makes me feel good that there are still some great people in the world and this is a great high quality place.

The corned beef hash is made in house and is meat as it should be. Tasty and tender and fresh. Today though I had my first disappointing dish - the oven baked Dutch baby that comes with the lemon butter sauce. We poured the sauce over expecting lemon butter. But upon tasting it, we realized it wasn't lemon juice. Or fresh lemon flavor. It tasted like liquified lemon curd - like a melted down center of a bad diner lemon meringue pie. You know that flavor. It was spot on that. And so it was cloying fake and sweet mixed with butter and overall kinda gross. I can't recommend that one. On the other hand, we took a German apple Dutch baby to go and that one was amazing. And in fairness we had the garden veggie one once before and it too is a winner. Skip the lemon sauce.

My son really enjoyed his chicken sausage, egg and cheese sandwich with whole fried potatoes and a short snack of chocolate chip pancakes. I enjoyed my baby of course along with it. I ordered the huevos rancheros that were labeled that spicy, but it was not spicy at all. it really needed more beans and the dish overall was just lacking flavor. It was more refreshing than savory or warm. We both got fresh juices. Both were delicious and the service was great attentive welcoming, and we were seated within half an hour of waiting in line after 10:30 AM on a Saturday. We may have been seated earlier, but I don't recall exactly when we started waiting in line. If you are a party bigger than two they have a separate line which may be a longer wait but it's more of a waitlist line. Whereas the other line is you waiting in line when you get seated as tables become available for parties of one or two people. Ambience is pretty laid-back and relaxed. There is parking at the main level of this plaza but also there is a parking garage below with more parking spots available.

( place was packed and busy ) . Service is definitely a 10 out of 10 from the minute with walk in the door . Beautiful decor , friendly and welcoming hostess . We were seated and right the way a gentleman named Mathias came to serve us , what an amazing personality , friendly , knowledgeable of the menu , efficient.. I can just keep on going . We were also helped by a lady named Jenny whom I found out later is the manager of the place . She even got me a special hook/stand to hang my pocketbook instead of leaving on the floor . The food was ordered and served within 30 minutes , to cooked to perfection. We had the Chuleta / pina . Pork chops with pineapple and caramelized onions , pollo rumbero - chicken with prosciutto and cheese in a white sauce , and boiled yucca . Food was spectacular, complements to the chef , table was always clean and service was beyond outstanding from beginning to end . Team work , great atmosphere, great food . Can't ask for anything better !!! Oh, and the was a drink called el guayabero , made from guava poured and rum that is to die for ... If you're in the area I would definitely recommend this amazing experience . Thank you Mathias , Jenny and the rumba Cubana staff for making it a great night ..

My husband took me here for my birthday in the summer of 2025. We enjoyed a tour of the property…read moreand a cafeteria style meal. The tour was so informative and intriguing to learn how all of the products are sourced on the land. I loved seeing the greenhouses and the variety of vegetables and surprisingly, a pineapple tree! (Who would've thought a pineapple tree grows in NY?) You can really tell that the workers have a passion for cultivating the land and producing high quality meals from it. Our lunch consisted of a pastrami-like sandwich, delicious gazpacho, salad, and cheesecake with berries on top. The meal came with a Spindrift drink. It was refreshing and filled us up. Next-door to the main cafeteria, still on the property, is a very swanky exclusive looking hall with a very classy bar. After our tour and lunch, we capped our visit with a drink each. Such a unique experience and I definitely recommend it for special occasions. (Please note this is a bit on the pricier side, but well worth it.) It's more than just a meal, and becomes a core memory!

This review is for the breakfast at the cafeteria…read more Breakfast is more restricted than a McDonalds. It is 9:30 am to 11:00 am. The service is exactly like a McDonalds. I got there and waited while the staff and a customer were socializing and ignoring me. The standard 'we don't care and we want you to know it.' There is food that is prepackaged from other companies. I did not really look at it since I am here for the 2 Michelin star in house cooked food not something that can be purchased in a lot of places. I chose to get a golden raisin muffin because the scone had nuts in it. The muffin is $6.50 which is what you expect from fancy places. It tasted really delicious and much better than supermarket and bakery muffins. This was a nice once in a lifetime stop, but it is not somewhere to return. I understand it is a farm and has to be further removed from society, but the time constraints are too much. Also, there is no guarantee what will be served, and you need to be able and willing to eat anything.

Tops is the tops of all NJ diners. We had a special event…read morenear by, needed a good place to celebrate and eat well. Based on prior experiences, we made a reservation which saved us. Place gets packed despite the many tables. Service was amazing, food was great (slightly higher prices than others, but the quality execution and quantity balanced it out). We had cornbread (very good), fries (was fine), chicken parm with pasta (we asked for vodka sauce which they accommodated for small charge), fried chicken (must have), churrasco steak breakfast and turkey club. No false notes that we could tell. Some standouts were mashed potatoes (really good), cornbread (toasted and slight sweet, with strawberry butter which was wild), whole wheat bread toasted (it was good I tell you) and fried chicken (it will haunt me in my hungry moments). Didn't think a diner would impact me as much, but they over delivered. Go, but make a reservation unless you want to wait.

READ FULL REVIEW!!!…read more March 2026: First time at this establishment was just ok. Hosted a very small get-together here (5 guest). Atmosphere was nice. Music was wayy too loud to hear the person you're sitting next to. Food was tasty and fresh. Coffee was good with great creamer selection (at the time). Our server was my least favorite part of this experience. He was over the top with his energy and upscale tactics (pushy with getting us to order extra drinks and appetizers despite declining). I was hosting this event and did not need him selling us after already being told "no, thank you" twice. It was awkward and ultimately changed the vibe. He hardly checked on us after that encounter and we constantly had to remind them about request that were never brought out to the table. Staff needs to be trained better. This was just an ok experience. April 2026 : What ultimately lead me to write this review was my 2nd experience at this diner. The server was a lot better than our first experience, but we did run into a few too many problems. First, we ordered coffee and are informed that per managements request, we can only have half-half or cream with our coffee. Previously they had French vanilla creamers and other flavored creamers but I guess management decided to save on the additional cost. This was a bummer especially realizing that they could easily afford creamers. This restaurant easily pulls at least $150,000 per week in revenue, so I didn't understand cheapening out like that. I still ordered the coffee. When it came to the table I added the cream into the cup only to find something floating in the coffee. I send it back and ask for a new cup, which the server politely provided. We order our meals and all goes well. Eventually two of the three meals come out and we wait for the final plate to come out. It's common courtesy to wait for everyone to have their meal before eating, so we wait. We wait about 6-7 minutes and the final plate comes out only for it to be cold. All of us ordered breakfast, so you can imagine trying to eat cold egg, potato, and sausage. We ask for the waiter, but before he could get to us the manager passes by and we let him know the issue. He takes the plate to the back and about two minutes later he comes back with the same exact plate. Before the manager arrived to take the plate away, I saw the guest split the egg half and add black pepper on everything so we knew it was the same plate and food she started eating off of that was reheated onto the kitchen grill where other food is being prepared for guest. The manager informs us that he had the chef heat the food up on the griddle and that it should be a perfect temperature. We refuse to accept the plate because it was reheated and not remade entirely. We were shocked that this was the solution even being offered. Reheating food on the griddle seemed unsafe (contamination risk, diseases, illness, etc) and offensive. No one pays these prices to have reheated breakfast served to them. I could've just made that at home for a fraction of the price. We politely refuse the reheated plate and he apologized and took the plate to the back. The server comes over to see what the issue is and we explain everything. He says that he will look into it and take that meal off the bill. Now I'm frustrated because one out of the three of us aren't eating anything and the experience was off. At this point, I'm not eating my meal but the 3rd guest is eating. So the guest who sent their plate back and myself are waiting for the 3rd guest to finish their pancakes. He ordered a stack of 4-5 chocolate chip pancakes and was happily eating away at layer by layer. Eventually he gets to the last 2 pancakes and before he adds syrup he notices what appeared to be an eyelash or short piece of hair imbedded in the pancake. Picture of the clearly imbedded hair included with this review. He immediately stopped eating and looks sick. He had already eaten 3-4 pancakes by then and the idea that he ate more of whatever that was felt unnerving, to say the least. We both start looking to see what he's looking at and long behold the hair was there. At this point we are extremely frustrated and completely over this experience. Management did not make this experience right even after addressing all of these issues both separately and together. I felt like my money was not valued and my business certainly wasn't. They did nothing to remedy these issues and I will NOT be going back to this establishment. This restaurant may look visually beautiful but the service is not. Staff needs more training, music needs to be turned down, chefs need to wear hairnets and everyone needs to follow safe food handling skills. You're putting your guest and your business at risk ignoring these issues. I really really wish I had a better experience.
