Worst real estate company! I wish I could give zero star! Never even think about working with them. Seattle has a hot market and there are lots of great agents; do not even think of working with this company. I put my house on the market with one of their agents Jacob Haugstad. At first he was good and responsive but after he got the listing everything has changed. I almost killed myself to convince him to have open houses. My house was on the market for almost 80 days and he could not even bring a low ball offer. While I bought it, it was sold in 5 days with 10 offers. It is a great unit and I am pretty sure if I had given it to another responsible agent it could have been sold in less than two weeks. Jacob their realtor is so unresposive and late to answer my text messages which I am pretty sure he missed a lot of potential buyers. DO NOT CONSIDER THIS COMPANY! read more

My husband and I set up an appointment to see a home that Mary Ann acts as a property manager on in Queen Anne. She sent us two last minute messages indicating that she needed to push back our showing and asked us to call her. She then did not accept or return our phone calls, and over email told us she was running late with another house and it would take her an additional 30 minutes to reach us. Nevertheless, we were flexible and rearranged our plans, delaying our appointment by an hour. However, she did not show up and stopped communicating with us by phone, text or email. Effectively, we drove up from Tacoma to wait 70 minutes in the cold and rain with our 5-month-old daughter! Our advice: don't use Mary Ann. She is unprofessional and inconsiderate. read more

I sure wish we would have reviewed the ratings before we rented from this agent. We also had Gwenever as a property manager. Not a nice person. My wife and I have twenty years experience with property management and have never had a worse person to deal with. We put in three maintenance requests on their online system and never heard anything back. After calling her still no action. Their online rent pay would usually not complete and she would charge a late fee and get real nasty to deal with. Then when we showed her proof of payment still no appoligies. Made for a real bad experience. Do not use her for anything. read more

I signed a contract with Century 21 to rent my home because I was moving out of state. Their contract states that they do a credit screen and do not accept unqualified tenants. Before I moved was told tenants has signed a contract and I moved out early to accommodate their requested move in date. A week after the tenants were to move in I called to find out why the utilities had not been transferred. Several attempted later I spoke with the agent Gwenevere Cannon, who sounded confused about who I was and finally came up with some lame excuse, "they never came in to sign the lease". I could get no explanation why I had not been informed or what she was doing to find another tenant. Long story short it was over 2 months before my house was rented in a hot, hot rental market. I followed up with the original renters and another applicant and it turns out their calls were never returned, I was having the same problem. I finally received a contract but it was not from a couple moving from CA which I was expecting per Gwenevere, but a single woman with two kids, and a dog although I had specified no pets. I ended up terminating my contract after I sent a friend to contact the renter and found out, from the renter, she had been foreclosed on and had a super low credit score. Per the renter she was not accepted anywhere else because of her credit scores and she had called the rental agent over 24 times and before she got an answer from the agent. When I contacted the office about the various events, I was told by Gwenevere her computer was hacked and she lost all her records. This was followed by a letter from the Century 21 manager telling me I would have to take them to court to see the tenants credit history to prove breach of contract. I got the credit report from the tenant. She had declared bankruptcy in another state only 3 years earlier owing over 330,000.00 on a home and over 100,000.00 to other creditors. In addition to the current foreclosure she had outstanding debt from creditors at the time she was accepted by Century 21 as a tenant. So in the year this tenant was in my house she paid rent on time twice. When she moved out she left over $500.00 worth of damages. Do yourself a favor and list your house on Craigs list, and do your own credit screen before wasting money on with this company they are unprofessional on every level. read more

As a property owner I was looking for an Honest rental management company who would safeguard my interests and property. Century 21 North Homes Realty Inc. was referred to me by a friend. That friend had a property being managed by them. Unfortunately not long after I signed the agreement that friend began to have trouble with them. Below is my experience. I was told that a nice small family with one child was moving in by the Century 21 rental agent. Approximately 1 month after the renters moved in to my immaculate $206,000 home I began to receive complaints from neighbors. The renters were piling bags of garbage on the driveway parking. Within 2 months I began to have questions from neighbors about the renters. It seems as though the original renters moved out. I voiced all of these concerns to the rental manager who did nothing save tell me that my neighbors were complaining needlessly. After 6 Months I began to have questions about who was living in my property. The rental manager stated that she had done walk thru and that the home was being kept up in excellent condition. I was told by multiple neighbors there were several families living in my home including my 10x10 shed. There were people coming and going at all hours of the day and night. When I had access to the home finally I found that the door knobs had been changed out in all the room to keyed ones for subletting purposes. I also found utility bills in other people's names that were not on the lease. Also there was a meth pipe and drug residue all over the home. I was told the sublets admitted to living there while they worked on cars in my garage. Apparently my home became a "shop" of some kind. The walkthrough at the end of their move out was signed by the rental agent and no significant damage was noted. Two doors one of which was new were destroyed. Fireplace damaged. Every tree was trimmed as a fruit free, including a 40plus year old Cherry that is now half dead in the front yard and a river birch that was purely decorative in the back yard, Sinks damaged filth everywhere. 50plus gallons of oil and other substances left in the garage and many other things too numerable to mention. Century 21 then allowed the renters to move out of the home without holding them to the contract. The renters did not give proper notice and did not pay the last month's rent. I wrote several letters to Century 21 North Homes Realty and received one in reply stating that the renters were not required to pay rent for the last month. They stated that I had asked to have them kicked out. When I asked for the paperwork regarding this there was none produced. In fact there was no text or anything regarding this and it is completely false. The contract clearly states that they are required to give notice or pay the next month's rent. The manager of Century 21 North Homes did nothing and offered nothing in return. I feel as though Century 21 North Homes is making a deliberate choice to take advantage of the fact that court will cost me more time and money thereby making it not worth my time to pursue the matter. In my opinion the actions of the rental agent Gwenever Cannon and her boss Ken Metzger are at least unethical and dishonest in their dealings. They are certainly not worthy of their gold jackets in my opinion. Their "neglect" cost me more than half the deposit amount which they kept or returned to the clients. The cleaning carpet cleaning and kitchen cleaning that was charged for was half ass shoddy work. With rent and missing deposit amount I estimate I am out approximately $2500 I would not recommend their services if you value your property. read more

I cannot speak about their other services, but I can tell you: Do not use Gwenever Canon as you property manager! Our property was not maintained properly. Lots of neglect. Who ever she uses as a handyman does a sloppy job. Lets use a paint as an example, when he paint the walls, he does not mask the adjacent surface. ceiling had roller marks. this is evident as the wall paint color used is not the same as the ceiling. When he patches the hole in the wall, it in not sanded not it is smooth. I spoke with the tenant, when there is a problem, Gwenever does not return calls. If a repair is needed, it take over a week to get a response. As the property owner, I also do not get timely communication from her. read more

I ended my contract with her because I got complaints about her from my tenants. The tenants reported an electrical issue via the client portal "apfolio" on 5 separate occasions (I have copies of the requests to verify the complaint). When they finally called her on the phone, Gwenever told my tenants that I was going hire my own electrician to take care of the issue. She never told me there was a problem. I found out about the situation when the water heater needed to be replaced and required that I meet the installer at the house to sign some paperwork. Fortunately the electrical issue was minor and quickly resolved. She did a final walkthrough of my property at the end of our contract. The walkthrough consisted of her entering through the garage to dining room and living room where she paused, said "it smells good in here" and walked out the front door. Did not bother to check the 3 bedrooms or the 2 bathrooms. I thought I had chosen well when I hired her. Sadly I was wrong. read more

Very shady. I saw a rental listing and called the main office around 5:30pm to see if I could either speak with the listing agent or leave a vm for her (Gwenever Cannon). The dude who picked up asked me if I had called her cell, which i hadn't at that point bc I thought it was past office hours since it was 5:30pm. I wanted to leave her a vm at her work desk but instead decided to just call the cell phone since the guy suggested it and I really wanted to see the property. When she answered her cell she didn't sound very friendly at all. When I asked about the Marysville property, she told me it was already rented, but I got this feeling she was just telling me that because she was annoyed I called her past 5pm. It was the way she was saying it, it was almost like she hardly even let me finish telling her the address to the property before she cut me off and told me it was already rented. Sure enough, even after 4 days later, the property is still listed as being available on zillow AND on THEIR OWN COMPANY'S WEBSITE! Super shady! read more

Century 21 is not helpful/friendly at all... Our Homeowners Association uses them for HOA Management and it takes a month to get a return e-mail and if you expect a call back about something you are out of luck, you have to keep calling to get a hold of someone. Our HOA Manager Steven McCarty is terrible himself, he has no people skills at all! Their office misapplied a payment that I sent in for HOA dues and he is telling me that since it was applied that way he can not change it or credit my account for the amount that was applied to something that NEVER should have been on my account in the first place. It took over a month to get a response from him and now it is like he is not even reading my e-mails. I am done being nice... they are "in essence" stealing my money and I want to put a stop to it. DON'T use them if at all possible there are many other Property Management Companies out there as well as a lot of selling agents. Terrible people working at this company in Everett!!! read more
