For a hospital cafeteria this place is great. It's much better than the food at "The Atrium"…read morecafeteria at Jefferson hospital in center city This place is also called "Anthony's Broad Street Bistro" Pros * Very well priced food * Lots of options from fresh salads to fried chicken * Salad bar is first class and has many options * Salad bar is fresh and has grilled vegetables daily * Lots of seating area both inside and outside * Newly renovated * Great deli station with fresh meats and bread * Hot food station is way better than you would expect from a hospital Cons: * Hours are limited * Deep inside hospital: have to take stairs or elevator down to the "B" level * Lots of busy hospital staff around (it is in a hospital after all) * Can get crowded around lunch time rush (noon-12:45 PM) Bottom line: If you are around methodist hospital and want a cheap bite to eat check it out

Stuffed to the brim with ingredients ranging from lettuce and peppers to fried eggplant and potato salad, the Methodist Cafeteria's salad bar can't be beat. Bananas also sometimes make an appearance on the salad bar, for some reason. If you ever find yourself in the neighborhood of the basement of Methodist Hospital, meander your way through the loading dock, around the heating pipes, and through the windowless basement hallways to the hidden gem known as "Methodist Cafeteria"--open only a few hours during weekdays. PROS: Wonderfully stocked and fresh salad bar. Has been called, by some, the "best salad bar in South Philly." Perhaps true...perhaps. CONS: In the basement of the cafeteria. How are they expecting to attract outside business by putting this gourmet establishment in the basement?! Other food is often consistent with cafeteria food, albeit decent cafeteria food. Only open a few hours per day during breakfast and lunchtime. No dinner or weekend hours. Why no weekend/dinner hours...? That's the eternal question. (Please note that this is a hospital cafeteria. As such, my "4 stars" is comparing this hospital cafeteria to other hospital cafeterias.)

Renamed "The Eatery", I would do anything except this at The Met. If you're paying $7.50 for a hot…read moredog in NYC, then you're getting ripped off. Besides the baked goods (which are overpriced like everything else), I cannot recommend buying anything here. Save yourself the hassle and go support one of the street vendors down the block. The staff were difficult to get a hold of when trying to order anything, and all of the food was reminiscent of what you would order in a middle school cafeteria. The place is definitely not clean either; I went to grab some ketchup packets from the container and my hand came out sticky. While everything was at least edible, definitely not worth the price you pay for it.

The baked goods are still nice and the eating area is still clean, that's about all I can say on the positive end. Given the option between a sad turkey sandwich (what happened to the salad bar??) And a fried chicken sandwich I went with the chicken thinking it would at least be fresh. The chicken was a thigh and even though it was quite small I couldn't finish it because of how awful the texture was. My dining partner felt similarly grossed out by the burger. There is a build your own burger bar but it was completely out of all condiments except pickles and honey mustard, no lettuce, no toma

My first cronut experience (not my last), a Hot Toffee Crunch Cold Brew Latte that hits like no other, and a Cranberry Delight Refresher that lives up to its name! This combo made for one happy customer, let me tell you! Caffeine Haven is such a cute spot. You walk in and you can immediately tell you've just stepped into a warm, welcoming environment! They've managed to develop this really lovely and authentic community feel. Plus the decor is just too sweet. A bookshelf in the corner with some children's toys/games, little kiddie tables (too cute), and plenty of seating for the grownups too :) This place is really for everyone! Not only are the staff super friendly, but you know they know what they're doing as soon as you sip one of their brilliantly crafted beverages. The latte was my favorite. My friend ordered for us so I had no clue it was made with almond milk (I'm a whole milk girl.) But you know what, I didn't mind. It was out of this world good! Didn't overdo it with the cinnamon, it was just this perfectly sweetened and spiced warm goodness. As for the Cranberry Refresher, this was absolute perfection. Sweet and just slightly tart. Even as the ice melted, the flavor did not get diluted which is not usually the case with these types of drinks. Finally, the cronut...hello to my new friend. How I've never tried one until now I have no clue, but if they're all as good as Cafe Havens, damn... It was chewy, buttery, with that cinnamon sugar. Yum and yum, the perfect side to the delectable latte! Whether you're picking up or you decide to stay a while, you won't be disappointed! It doesn't hurt that it's only 3minutes away from a new local gem, Dollar Donuts! I highly recommend checking them both out! You won't be disappointed :)
