Talk about fast and efficient. The keys were made pronto just as soon as we were directed what counter to go to. It was really "easy in and easy out". Although from the outside this store looks pretty small but once you go inside it's a lot larger than it looks with a very good inventory to meet your hardware needs. I will definitely keep this store in mind more often.

I reserved a U-Haul truck and two furniture dollies at this location, only to be informed upon arrival that they don't actually have a furniture dollies. The store blamed this on U-Haul not keeping track of equipment, and U-Haul said the same thing about them. Either way, that doesn't paint a flattering picture of the whole operation. U-Haul customer service then sent me on a 2-hour long wild goose chase to two other locations before finally securing two dollies. Even then, the store claimed that U-Haul never contacted them after I was told that someone called ahead to guarantee, so I had to fill out a second contract for the dolly rental. This took so much time that I wasn't able to fully pack the truck. U-haul refunded me basically the cost of gas and the dollies, nothing more. It's Penske trucks from here on out! Obviously only the first part of this journey was caused by McLendon, but it wouldn't have happened at all had their inventory information been accurate.

When we entered the store something instantly felt off. I got a weird vibe from the employees. We started down separate aisles intending to meet up after a while. O heard an associate approach my husband to see if he needed help. He kindly declined and the associate then headed my direction. He asked me the same and I explained to him that we were looking for materials to build a catio. We didn't need his assistance, but would continue looking and let him know if we needed help. He walked away but only a few steps and turned around to watch . It felt weird and uncomfortable so I headed towards where my husband was. I asked him if he felt like we were being watched and he agreed 100%. Knowing there was nothing they would find in watching us we continued looking around. They could watch us all they wanted and they did. After discussing our options and deciding to return once we took some measurements at home we headedtowards the front of the store. I went towards the mistintsnas he looked at some tools down a different aisle. The associate, Randy announces "Thats enough, you need to leave." My husband asked him why and his response was that he didn't need to give us a reason. My husband then said we didn't do anything or steal anything so there's no reason we can't look in the store. Randy then said you guys are in here all the time and never buy anything. I then told him we were willing to empty all our pockets and I would dump out my purse because we don't steal. He again said to leave now. I was in shock. They had no grounds to kick us out and were accusing us of something we never did. As we headed to the car I was furious and decided to go back and stand outside the door in order to get his name. I immediately called corporate headquarters and explained what had just happened. The representative acted concerned and went as far as looking up our rewards account to verify what I had told him. We have frequented that location and have a history showing several transactions. I believe that was the first visit we left empty handed since we discovered the store. He acted like he cared and assured me I would hear from the manager of the store the next day. We got no phone call. The representative also offered us a coupon for our experience but my response was that he could send a gift card with $500 on it and I still wouldn't set foot in that store ever again. I have never been so offended by a retailer in my life. I'm a mother of two and work for a living to provide for my kids. I am not homeless or someone who steals from anyone or anywhere. I don't look like someone who doesnt have money or engages in illegal activity. I was raised better than that and don't appreciate false accusations that have no grounds. I understand theft has increased in our town over the past few years, but accusing innocent people will only cause your company to lose more money. It's been a few weeks and I'm just as angry as I was that day. I would advise you to avoid stepping foot into Ace Hardware at all costs. They don't deserve any legitimate business and have no problem kicking out paying customers. I intend to make this be known to the point of making a mark in the decline of their business so no one else feels the bitterness and shock that I feel. Especially to Randy who should fired for his profiling and rudeness accusing people who have done nothing wrong. He should find a job away from the public if he ever wants to make something of himself. Stay away from this place! He finally got hold of me and told me they couldn't find a lumber cart with lots of lumber on it at will call. I had him put the employee on the line to figure out what was going on. She tried to make it my fault for not doing will-call right (how does one not do will call right?!!) and said she figured the lumber, which I had told her had a receipt taped to it, had been sent back to the shelves after about an hour at will call. After my needless worrying that I'd wasted all that time picking through their crappy lumber to find some good pieces, and my contractor wasting about 30 minutes of his time, the Home Depot employees FINALLY figured out that there are TWO will-call areas at that store. How do people work at will call and not know that????? And there it was, sitting at the OTHER will call, right where it had been left, waiting for my contractor. It's always an adventure going to Home Depot, and never the good kind.

Went to purchase a replacement 1hp motor. I asked if I could have the box opened to see if the…read moremounts were the same as the old motor. The box did not include mounting plate dimensions. Was told it wasn't a problem by an employee. Proceeded to head to the front to do this with supervision. The gentleman at the front told me this was not allowed. He then informed me there is a 20% restocking fee if the part is incorrect. I checked out harbor freight policy and it seems to be normal to allow customers to see if the part in the box is correct (under supervision of course). Unfortunately I do not recall the name of the employee. He was an older gentleman with a small composition. He did not provide a pleasant shopping experience and seemed to want to make a simple purchase a grievance for me. Didn't seem to care either way if he received my business. Even the fella in line behind me had some raised eye brows.
