The previous pool table service company did not do a good job at all, so Paul had his work cut out for him. He spent a lot of time with us, and it was clear how knowledgable he was about every aspect of pool tables and their setup and maintanence, as well as other available supplies. He was extremely ethical, making sure to point out a ding in the wood rail. When we weren't sure, he gave us advice for looking at other used tables elsewhere. We knew we would still use him to move whatever table we bought, but we did come back to him, and he stuck with the great deal he had offered us. And his delivery and setup was masterful. We had felt confident in him, anyway, and wouldn't have wanted anyone else to set up the table, and we saw his ability and concientiouness in action. Paul leveled the slate pieces on my table with a high degree of precision, replaced the bumpers, refelted everything, and I'm very happy with the quality of work all around. I'm serious about my pool game, and this table rolls true. The table is outdoors in a covered area, and has to withstand some temperature swings, but it's held up really well. I have no complaints whatsoever. He started and finished the work in less than a day, and charged me a fair price. I would recommend Paul to anyone needing work done on their table. Worst (non) service experience ever. Called Paul got an estimate and scheduled the move. All good. Gave me a 30 minute range for arrival. After 30 minutes and no show, I began calling. Left messages for an hour and then went back to my new house. Called again next morning and left a call me or else msg. Later that day, Paul called. He had been really sick, apologized, etc. and we scheduled another appointment for over a week out. That day comes and I'm back at my old house, waiting again for 30 minutes before calling. This time Paul answers. I got some story about how someone else with my same first name called and he confused the appointments, etc. I explained - nicely - that I was angry about the situation and was he going to be able to move my pool table or should I call someone else. He actually said that after all the problems I should just call someone else. So now I'm scheduled with someone else and again waiting over a week......I guess I'm lucky my old house hasn't sold yet. Paul may know pool tables but he certainly doesn't know how to run a business. read more
