Great place to take the grandkids when there's nice weather. Lots of obstacles, slide swings, etc. what's really nice is the area is exceptionally clean and well maintained. For those who need a bathroom nearby there are porta potties definitely an inexpensive way for your kids or grandkids to have fun without spending money. read more

Central Park is an excellent park that is perfect for almost anyone. There are a ton of play structures that kids can used that are all relatively safe and keep them entertained! There is also a large amount of green space that can be used by people and pets alike along with a nice hill to watch the sunset from. Very nice public park read more

When my husband and I lived in Denver for a hot minute - we lived near Stapleton which is a nice young family suburbs type of area. The neighborhood was nice and I would typically ride my bike around the bike path and to the central park. This neighborhood is very well kept and that includes the park. Lots of runners, cyclists, and activities in this area. Also I noticed there's always some sort of 5k event in the morning which almost looks like every weekend. Really nice park, well kept, no funny business here. read more

My favorite park in Denver. It's huge and has amazing views of the Front Range. I go to the top of the hill to watch the sunset on every nice evening I can. Plus soccer fields, a really cool playground, a creek and reservoir, and great spaces for barbecues. And it's never been too crowded. Plus the sky looks huge, which is so rare in the city! Brought my kids for the splash pad and they loved it, I couldn't find anything online in regards to whether the water is treated or not, but there was a slight chlorine smell... It was overcast and we didn't stay for the playground but the equipment will be played on next visit! read more

Fantastic park! There is an epic playground, a ton of grassy fields, trails, facilities, and a rec center with an indoor pool! We love biking here from our home for a frisbee pickup game, a picnic, or just a simple ride on the trails. Seeing all the houses lined up on the sides is also a beautiful scene. The trail connects to the south side of Stapleton so you can get to the Stanley marketplace, the new King Soopers, and a variety of other locations without crossing any roads. The only issue I can think of about this park (if I had to) is that if you're driving in Stapleton, you have to drive around the park. There's no through-traffic. I guess that's the point of having a nice big park, so no real complaints from my perspective. Well-done, Denver! read more

I like running these trails early morning right after I drop my daughter off at school! They wind and wrap in every direction that it would take you a while to get tired of your options! The park is nice for the kids as well, they have a pretty cool playground with a water feature that squirts up from the ground that she plays in from time to time during the summer! All in all it's just a great park with really nice Stapleton views with very very low traffic! Especially on the trails! read more

I love this park! We take our dog here all the time later in the day and let her run around the fields. She goes nuts. Loves it there! I love all the hills as well! When family and friends come, I make sure to take them there so they can see the view of the mountains, especially during a sunset! We've played with our dog here, walked, rode bikes, chilled, ran, and pretty much anything else you could do at a park! There's a great kids area as well. I don't have any kids but if I did, I bet they'd love it! I've also seen lots of families out there sledding when it snows too. I'm definitely taking my snowboard out there next time we get some good snow just to see! The only bad thing I have to say about it is that it is goose season. So there is literally no grass and all poop. Make sure you wear shoes you don't care about if you're a clean freak because you will be cleaning them when you get home! read more

I take my Golden Retriever to this park pretty frequently. It is a very large, clean park. It seems very well maintained. They have excellent running/walking trails throughout the park. I especially love that If you follow particular trails, they lead you uphill to amazing mountain views. I definitely recommend this park if you are in the area. Also, the geese haven't taken over this park like City Park. Yes, there is the occasional area of goose dropping but it is a million times better than other parks. On the goose poop scale, 5 being the poopiest, I give Central Park Stapleton a 2/5. read more

Yes to all the previous reviews. I used to (sneak) let my dog swim in the water on the East side of the park. My kids LOVE this place. It is the only park my six year old girl gets excited about going to. They run up and down the Telletubbies like hills and enjoy all the different play things. Then when they have almost had enough the roll and run down the hills for another hour or two. Great place to wipe your kid out. read more

We've had our company picnic in the pavilion for the past couple of years. It's a very nice and large picnic shelter with several permanently placed round tables underneath. My one complaint with the pavilion is that the sloped roof does not provide any shade whatsoever from the blinding evening late summer sun. That's just poor planning. Be sure you have your permits if you rent the pavilion because the park rangers will come and ask you for them. The first year my boss forgot them and she even offered to drive back to the office to produce them but, luckily, the patrolman was understanding. Honestly, who would set up a caterer underneath a large picnic shelter in a very popular park without a permit? Otherwise, the park is very pretty and peaceful. There is lots of open grassy space, a big playground for the rug rats, and walking/jogging trails abound. read more

I enjoy this park since 2008, my son is growing up to this park, it is always a favorite, even in the snow, and summer!! All though the water park doesn't seem to work, we've only made it once, what luck is that what happened to the water, especially on those hot days!! If it does work don't forget the sun block!! read more

Central Park is a great park. It's huge and clean. I am really happy about how well-maintained this park is. It offers a great walking path that is great for anyone with kids or pets. It's definitely a very family and pet friendly park. They even have a huge playground for the kids. It's actually one of the more impressive playgrounds I've seen. Right by the playground they have a huge water fountain where all the kids love to run around in. It is especially busy in the summer. The park offers a lot of greenery and soccer fields for the kids. A lot of times you'll even see trainers in the park training their students. I've seen plenty of boot camps classes here. It's a perfect place for a workout as it's very open and offers some hills. read more

I love Denver. This is a wonderful huge park and open space loaded with active people enjoying a bit of everything. Running, biking, walking, great soccer fields with goals, large playground, restrooms and little lake on the East side, plenty of benches, picnic tables, enough parking, and a few sledding hills. Great jogging trail around the perimeter of the park. No mature trees makes it impossible to avoid the Colorado sun. The play ground is nice for kids, we take our kids there regularly. read more

This park will be incredible when it fully matures. In the meantime, it is just very good. We went to the playground over the weekend and it was a happening scene with so many folks out and about. I like that the playground utilizes plenty of soft synthetic ground surfaces since my mini-me likes to eat sand, gravel, and wood chips that he often finds at other parks. The play area is also massive, so there is plenty for the kiddos to do. For me, the best part about this park and other parks in and around Stapleton is that people are friendly and will actually strike up a conversation with you. Friendly people? Large playground, lots of open fields, even lots of paved areas for bikes and other wheeled fun. You can't go wrong with Central Park Stapleton. It gets pretty busy on warm weekend afternoons, but it's large enough that everyone can enjoy without feeling cramped. The only reason I only gave it 4 stars is that the fountain water park closed early last summer due to bacteria contamination. At least they identified the problem and last I heard they were installing a new filtration system. When the fountains get repaired this park will definitely get my 5 star approval! read more

Such a perfect place to come hang out on the weekend. Perfect for all different kinds of activities! There were people working out, seemed like thousands of kids were here to get their energy out haha everyone was rolling down the hills chasing each other and even saw some kite flying! I brought my dog for a nice little exercise and she loves it here. Last time we went it was very quiet so she had to adjust to all the new people and puppies running around but she always seems happy when we come here. The park is huge and is great if you wanted to get a good workout in and is perfect for running. Located right in Stapleton I feel safe coming here alone as there are always people here and people driving by. Can't wait for next weekend for another trip with my pup! read more
