My Mom's van did not pass smog check twice LOL, hence, she needed her van's muffler to be replaced. She was recommended by AVS Motoring to get her van's muffler replaced at Central Muffler Shop (CMS) in Montclair. So glad for the recommendation (thank you Rafael!) A little back story: My catalytic converter got stolen off my Honda at the beginning of the Cat stealing craze in the IE, which forced me to get rid of the car because it wasn't worth fixing. I ended up buying another car and this time, I wanted to be more prepared. I understood if someone really wanted to steal my Cat, they would, but I wanted to make it as hard as possible for them. A common solution was to weld the Cat to the frame, so thieves would have to make more cuts instead of the typical two or buy a protection cover or cable lock. The latter two were not available at the moment because of it being back order (cable lock), or it not being made yet (cover). So my only option was to weld it until a better option came along. After getting turned away from a couple shops. I ended up here. I was greeted as I got out of my car and asked what I needed help with. I explained my situation and proposed my idea to them. I also showed them pictures from google, showing how others welded the Cat to the car. They were glad to try it but explained it'll be the first time and they don't know how the outcome will be but will try their best. The job went well, they used chain to do it. It wasn't the prettiest of jobs but it made me feel protected. They told me if there were any issues to come back and they would made it better. There was a little rattling issue with the chain being loose in some areas but they managed to tighten it up so it wouldn't be an issue. Fast forward a year later, a company finally made a Cat shield protector for my car, I knew it was time to get rid of the chain job and to get it down right. I returned the muffler shop and they remembered who I was and the job and was happy to assist me with removing the old Cat system. I was a little nervous about asking them to remove it, scared they would have thought I hated their work, but they did not hesitate and said they'll help me get it the way I want it. Simply a great shop with great and friendly workers. I usually don't have much muffler needs but I'm glad to know I found a shop I can go to! read more

I came here in desperate need as my 2009 G37 Sedan was completely stock and in need of serious renovation. Since I have some shallow pockets I couldn't afford a catback exhaust and therefore opted for a muffler delete. This took all the strength within me since many people are very against the "VQ Trumpet Exhaust." I walked into this fine establishment and was greeted by the most gregarious and handsome hispanic man I have ever laid my eyes on. He asked what I needed assistance with and I explained my situation. The price was very fair and he and his associates were quick to work on my car. I watched them intensely as they worked like Fix it Felix from wreck it Ralph on my car. It was like when you fall asleep watching Youtube and you awake at 3AM to the Cambodian Luxury Mud house builders. It was as if I was watching Iron Man build his suit. I was so impressed with the precise and quick work they made of my stock mufflers. Finally, they finished their work and my car was returned back to the fine soil. I paid them, grabbed my keys, hopped in my car, and I caressed my steering wheel gently as to not ruin this special moment. I then put my foot on the brake and gently pushed the push to start button and was greeted by the sound of a passionate lion slaying a gazelle in Africa. It was like the cry of an American Bald Eagle as he soared and cut through the sky. Imagine the sound of a strong and alpha lion as he runs through the deep brush of the savanna, stalking his pray. I come in to get my truck straight piped. The pipe is bent in two different directions and looks limp. 90% of the two pipes connected were not even welded in between. Dont bother going here. Its half faster work and garbage. Exhaust leaks like crazy, horrible pipe bends, sounds shitty. Hit up rogers exhaust shop in Fontana MUCH better service. read more
