What can I say, when it comes to getting work done, Ernie is my go to. Guys been here for Years and knows his stuff. In and out. Quick and way and I was ready to go! He's fair on pricing., reliable work, and knows a few things about cars as well. I'll be having him do my truck next.

The Muffler Doctor, where they won't necessarily put all the bolts back in and, when they can't find your bolt and see that the gasket is broken, will glue the flange as a quick fix. I'm impressed! Yeah, not really. There is no excuse for not doing it right the first time.

IF YOU NEED EXHAUST WORK, DON'T GO ANYWHERE ELSE. I was recommended by one of my best friends to come here and of course I had to go the first chance I got. I am so glad we have stumbled upon this exhaust shop. Great people, stellar customer service, speedy service and unbeatable prices! I came here to swap my OEM resonator with an aftermarket Vibrant bottle-style resonator and the price was only $50 out the door. The work only took about 25 minutes and the owner was super friendly and understanding while I was filming for my Youtube channel. I was able to film and watch the whole process safely. Luckily for me this shop is close, but honestly speaking even if it were 20-25 miles away I'd make the drive down knowing how great the work and their service is. I doubt this will be my last time here for some exhaust work so I'm looking forward to my next visit! Be on the lookout for the video to get more in depth footage of the shop and the work that they did. I left the shop ecstatic and ready for more exhaust work to be done! Came here to have a J-Pipe installed on my 3 inch catback exhaust to kill my freeway drone in the 3k -4k rpm range. I did all my calculations at home, brought the Vibrant piping needed for the job, and asked Ernie if he could fab up the piping for me. I was in and out in less than 2 hours and paid a very reasonable price. Welds look good and the shop did exactly what I asked them to. Would 10/10 recommend to any friend needing custom exhaust work done to go here.

Went to "da shop" yesterday to get my TRD Muffler repositioned because Advance Muffler Shop of Riverside didn't do a good job. However their rating would be on their Yelp page, not this one. Ernie saw the exhaust set up and immediately asked "Where'd you get this done?" And "Did the shop owner really leave it like this?" Big time SMH. I had called and made an appointment for me and my friend and we drove to Montclair and arrived on time. My buddy got my old set up on his car and I got my exhaust repositioned. We were both charged fair and reasonable prices! Just wanted to make an update review to show the shop some love! Never a disappointment coming here. Third Review: 01/17/20 I'm moving on from a 2006 Toyota Matrix (1ZZFE) to a 2003 Toyota Matrix XRS (2ZZGE) and I've decided to make my daily bone stock again! At first I was debating whether to save a trip by going to the local shops in my area, but I saw the reviews and immediately considered staying with the OG. Uneven welds and a lot of money spent is TOTALLY NOT WORTH IT. Scheduled to meet with Ernie today in the morning an hour after opening. I had to wait a little bit but that doesn't concern me at all. I conversed with another gentleman there about his lowered 2001 Suburban! Will definitely come back next time when I get the project car. Always a great experience here at the Muffler Doctor. Big thanks for their services!

These few years have been rough and to top it off, I found out my catalytic converter was stolen while parked in the front of my house. I called around a few places and I am glad I found Ernie. He thoroughly explained what was needed for a replacement and gave an honest upfront price. The work is excellent and got my car up and running again in about an hour. I am a new customer and I can tell he treats everyone like a VIP. It is good to meet honest and hardworking people like his crew. Thank you Ernie for your service and expertise!

Amazing service.. I called mid week spoke with Ernie. Appt next day!! - nice!! I go there hes like muffler delete and add some straight pipes? Yes sir!! Drive it on back I'll meet you around back. They put it on the lift immediately. They have low ramps for lowered cars too. 2 guys jumped on to help. Started cutting out the stock mufflers. Measuring for the straight pipe. Lined it all up nice bends in the pipes (photos soon to come) and welded tight. Car Sounds awesome!! I payed cash. Was in and out in less than an hour. I will recomend this place to others!! Fast, detailed, & extremely reasonably priced. Thanks Ernie!! Shop owners cool too!!

The first time, they replaced a spark plug, costing me about $200. Two weeks later, the light returned. This time a $687 repair for a completely different issue. Less than two weeks after that, the light came on again. On my third visit, even though their posted opening time is 9 a.m., the technician, Randy, didn't actually show up until after 9:08. He was rude, didn't greet me, and dismissed my concerns instead of offering any apology or empathy. He handed me a paper with another new code and quoted labor costs of $160, with no parts even required. Despite their supposed warranty, I've had to return repeatedly. Each time, a new code, a new cost, and dismissive treatment. Randy even remarked that my car is old and implied I should expect ongoing issues. Yet this doesn't excuse poor service. If I could give zero stars, I would. I can't recommend this shop to anyone looking for accountability or respect.

I hired this mechanic to replace the cinching actuator on my Tesla. Immediately after he completed…read morethe work, my car began making loud, abnormal noises that never existed before. My door handles started making a loud squeaking/horn-like sound. When I opened my trunk, it sounded like it was malfunctioning or "dying." The same noise occurred when the trunk closed. When I opened my doors, the noise came from the trunk again. Even when I backed into my driveway and pressed the brakes, my car made a loud honking sound. All of these issues began after his repair. I contacted him immediately to let him know something was clearly wrong. Instead of taking responsibility or offering to inspect the problem, he became defensive and accused me of lying. He claimed the issues were preexisting and said I had tampered with my own car. He talked over me, became argumentative, threatened to cut business ties, said he would block my number, and abruptly hung up on me. He also blamed me for "self-diagnosing," even though I was simply describing the symptoms I was experiencing--something any customer would do. I hired him because he is the mechanic. It is literally his job to assess, diagnose, and fix problems. Instead, he refused accountability and demanded I pay him an additional $250 just to run a diagnostic to determine whether he caused the problems. Every reputable mechanic I've worked with in the past has stood behind their work. This one did not. He then sent me a disclosure form he wanted me to sign stating that I would only receive a partial refund if he decided the issues were his fault. I did not agree to this. When I didn't respond to his repeated messages, he texted again saying that after "some thought," he would now be willing to refund only a "portion" of what I paid. I paid him $350. When I declined to pay the additional $250 diagnostic fee, he argued with me and repeatedly stated that because I said no, I was "accepting that this is the end of the issue," then hung up on me. To document the abnormal noises, I opened and closed the liftgate several times. During this process, a panel that concealed the wiring fell off its hinges. A Tesla-certified mechanic later told me this was because the panel had not been screwed in correctly. I ultimately had to hire a Tesla-certified mechanic to fix what was done. Based on the symptoms I described over the phone, he immediately recognized that the wiring had been done incorrectly. When he inspected the vehicle, he confirmed that multiple connectors were improperly rewired, including the liftgate being wired into the speaker system and the trunk light being wired incorrectly. The horn was sounding as a warning that something was wrong. This was not only careless -- it was a safety concern. This mechanic was rude, dismissive, unprofessional, and completely unwilling to stand behind his work. Based on my experience, I would strongly caution Tesla owners and anyone with a modern vehicle against using his services. *** This is in response to Jane's response. PLEASE READ as this is very important. James claims he offered a "warranty check," AKA "diagnostic," but only if I paid him an additional $250 for his time. I declined. At that point, he repeatedly talked over me, read a disclaimer aloud without allowing me to respond, and ignored my polite requests to speak. He then told me he was "ending this relationship," said he would block my number, and abruptly hung up on me. He did not offer a full refund--only an unspecified portion of what I paid. I uploaded a photo of the revised invoice he sent after damaging my vehicle. In that invoice, he attempted to insert a disclaimer stating that I would accept a partial refund only after he decided whether he caused the damage. The document does not specify any refund amount. Had I signed it, I would have forfeited my right to a full refund. After my Yelp review, I sent James videos from a Tesla-certified mechanic explaining exactly what he did wrong. He incorrectly reattached the wiring, connecting the liftgate to the speaker system, which caused the loud horn noise. On a Tesla, this sound is a safety alert indicating faulty electrical connections. James presents himself as an honest professional. My experience was the opposite. I was spoken over, yelled at, threatened with being blocked, and treated with hostility when I simply asked questions about the damage done to my vehicle. I have never been treated this way by any business before. Based on both his conduct and the documented mechanical errors, James is not qualified to work on electric or modern vehicles. His behavior was unprofessional, aggressive, and manipulative. I strongly recommend that anyone with a newer or electric car take their business elsewhere. Quantum Mobile Mechanic is not on Better Business Bureau. I reported him to the BAR (California Bureau of Automotive Repair).***
