This place is awesome, but in a densely populated market with competition at every corner, the…read morething that will get customers at your door is consistency with positive customer service. For the most part, this place has amazing humans that understand what it takes- a warm friendly greeting, uninterrupted focus on you the customer and a positive warm farewell and thank you in their own personal way. If you want the neighborhood to embrace you, then you must embrace the humans and families that live in said neighborhood. I'm a firm believer in following the rules of society to obtain a order, but some rules can strip common sense from individuals who fail to put the human condition first. On Sunday 3/22/26 early afternoon, I walked into the shop with my small child and immediately with no welcome greeting we were harassed by an employee named Terry, "she's not allowed in here, she's not 21!" Then he proceeded to hold her hostage at the front door while I was separated from my child. I understand that a minor cannot purchase anything but my 12 year old daughter isn't gonna jump behind the counter and start doing bong rips Terry. She's with me cause I'm not leaving a child alone in the car in this sick fu&@ed up world we have made for ourselves. Countless times I have taken my child into many dispensaries all over jersey and have never had any issues. Some employees (humans) even interact with all my children in a positive manner cause they're not customers, they're humans and they should be treated as such. I've seen so many other parents who bring their children into dispensaries to get their medicine without ever being singled out like we were by your rude robotic, non-human Terry. Every time this happens, you're basically letting your employee tell customers that families don't matter to your establishment and neither does my business. I spend between 30-40 dollars daily at dispensaries, which equates to roughly 13 thousand dollars in yearly sales. I was positive this was going to be my store that I use on a regular basis amongst a sea of competitors that are eager for our hard earned money. I had to explain to my daughter that she had done nothing wrong when she questioned me on why the mean man separated us in the store. I don't feel this establishment values my business anymore.

Puffin Dispensary - New Brunswick, NJ…read more Right across from Rutgers, Puffin NJ is a low-key but stylish dispensary that makes a strong first impression. The space is fancy, well-decorated, and welcoming--even for someone like me who's never bought legal cannabis before. I walked in feeling intimidated, but the staff helped ease my anxiety with solid product recommendations tailored to focus and calm. Unfortunately, one product--Pomegranate Pearls from Grön--didn't sit well with my wife. She experienced a sudden wave of hot and cold flashes and ended up getting sick after we got home. We tried calling the store, but couldn't get through. Later, we were told returns must be made within 7 days, which is tough when you're coming from Long Island. I had to reach out to the company directly for support. Despite that hiccup, I'm still giving Puffin 4 stars. The customer service was great, the location is convenient, and the other products were solid. If you're new to cannabis or just want a chill, well-run spot near Rutgers, Puffin is worth checking out. Just be mindful of how your body reacts and ask questions before buying edibles. Boomsauce Scale: B - basura (trash) BS - basic (come on! Try harder) BS + - better (Yo! That's better) BS ++ - best (alright! Alright! Alrightttt!) BS +++ - Amazing location! now that's boomsauce! A "head shop" (old timer speak for a place to buy weed supplies like pipes papers and screens) like this is the perfect candidate for a legalized place to buy actual legal cannabis but our state legislature still has their heads stuck in the sands on 1950, and many products, services and businesses like this fine shop are currently excluded from selling it. Some day hopefully we will rid NJ of politicians who try and stop what the state voted for in the legalization of cannabis, but for now, 1 South Vape shop has you covered for anything you need to enjoy these legalized products at home or on the go.
