DISGUSTING. FILTHY. As soon as we walked in there was a terrible smell. the floors were sticky with black sticky smudges everywhere like if one bucket of mop water was used for the entire building. I got a paper towel and wiped the floor and it was pitch black from how dirty the floors were. There was a dirty used gum on the bed. Everything about the room was just filthy and unsanitary. The manager Raj had the audacity to argue the room wasn't "that dirty". Thankfully we got to cancel and get a refund. It's a health hazard for anyone to stay the night here. read more

We made a last minute decision to stay in Cayucos for a night and there was a family suite available here. They're also dog friendly, which is a must for us. There were 3 queen beds, with one in its own room. There was a fridge, coffee maker, spacious bathroom with tiled shower, and even toothpaste and toothbrushes. It was stocked with extra toilet paper and enough towels for all of us. They called us at 4:30 to ask when we planned to arrive and told us to take our time and drive safe. We appreciated the friendly staff and comfortable room that was a nice stroll from the Brown Butter Cookie Co and the rest of downtown. read more

This is a clean motel but not fancy. The bed was comfy. Furniture in the room is a little close to patio styled table/chairs. Like that there is flooring, not carpet. There were only two sets of towels! There are always three even if the room is for two people. Paying for the location across the street from the beach. Oddly, toilet paper holder was far from the toilet. Likely due to some prior remodel. Not effusive staff. read more

Nice location. The room looked clean but the floors were filthy. Not enough toilet paper or towels for a family suite. The manager was hesitant to give us extra toilet paper and towels. It was a safe place to sleep and close to the beach for a good price. Just be prepared for the floors and maybe bring extra towels and toilet paper. read more

DO NOT book this hotel. They are totally no credit. I booked a 3 bed room last year. When I got in to the room. There was lots of ants everywhere. They had no room for me to exchange. So I had to book another hotel nearby. The owner said I don't need to to anything on Expedia. They will take care of the rest. They printed a receipt for me with $0 balance. But I never get back my $400. I tried everything I could. This is the last step I can do. I can't believe this happened in US 2021. read more

904.382.1326I researched for a nice hotel in Coyucos that allow pets and found Central Coast Inn had the best price. Problem was it had really bad ratings substantiated by pictures. Then I noticed all the bad ratings were around 2019. Before New Ownership. Then I saw 2 5 star ratings written around 2020. So I took a chance and reserved a room. This place looks nothing like how it was ! I noticed the outside was very neat, very clean and cute. The rooms were immaculate with everything you need for a stay. Clean towels, cups, microwave ,refrigerator, A/C, a small table and 3 chairs. And the beds were nicely made and very comfortable . This place was 100% renovated and the people/new owners were very nice. I highly recommend this hotel and ill be staying here whenever we decide to spend a day or 2 at the Coast.Also , its only a block from the stores and the beach. Update: Thought I'd include that there is a coffee percolator w/2 packs of coffee, paper and plastic cups, toothbrush , soap , towels, shampoo, a rack with wooden hangers. And the room i stayed in had 2 queen beds. Hair dryer. And the bathroom/shower is spacious. There are also tables and chairs outside the room. read more

Ahh....no. I would not stay here again. Bathroom had what I believe they considered complimentary-? Half a tube of used toothpaste proudly displayed. Yuk. The hand soap consisted of a dispenser glued to the wall- which had leaked all over counter. Put my stuff down into a wet mess. The towels were dingy-white and absolutely thread bare. What was left of a used toilet paper roll, was set so far from the toilet you had to get up off the can to reach it! Was awoken at about 2 am by my drunk neighbors- who chatted & watched TV until they finally collapsed into a snoring stupor - oh, around 3:30 am. The motel was more than half empty- just a tip to owners, how about not putting your guests right next to each other? Especially with paper thin walls. The floors were ice cold tile. No rugs. Honestly for over $200 a night- it was a shit show. Only positive thing I would say is that it was clean. So, no. Not recommended. read more

A quaint and charming spot conveniently located in Central Cayucos. Maybe 5 min from the shore? Right on Ocean Ave - coffee shops, antiques and restaurants are located on the same block. The same family minds the front desk, landscaping, cleaning and other hospitality needs. Towels were abundant and artfully folded. Soap , shampoo , toothbrushes , toothpaste etc were provided. Hotel is a quality good - standard - inn. No breakfast, lobby, or other amenities. Bed was ok. 5 stars - its affordable, clean, very well located, convenient parking. It is not fancy or luxury by any stretch. So don't expect much more than what it is and you'll be pleased with your stay. And it's Cayucos , if you're there to chill with the fam, enjoy the coast how can you complain??? Nothing fancy, but it was clean and quiet enough. Also lots of plugs and USB chargers embedded in the night stands. The room itself was on the smaller side but easily fit a King sized bed and our son in a pack and play. The decor was modern , clean , bathroom had a really cool ring light embedded into the mirror. Only con - you back up to a residential area and there was faint odor if you had the bathroom window open. Would stay again. read more

Let me start with the positives: it's a quiet, safe room with clean bedsheets. That's about it. We got a "Family Suite" through hotels.com. When we arrived, it was not a family suite at all. It was a regular hotel room that fit 3 queen beds. Sure, maybe we should have brought it to their attention right then and there. When I look online, I see it's completely false the information they have. The picture matched the room we stayed in but it did not match in description. I felt duped and tricked. We decided we should make the best of our trip and deal with it for now. Once we were all settled, my 1 yo was running towards snacks and smacked her face on the iron chair so she had a 2 in thick bruise on her face. Why there's iron furniture in a family friendly room is beyond me. The next day we headed to the beach, came back, and got a little sand in our room. We wanted to sweep it out ourselves but staff was no where to be found. The office was locked and no one was inside, even with the "open" sign lit. At checkout, the office was locked with no one inside (again). An employee shows up and was ready to just take our keys and let us be on our way with no receipt. We asked for a recipe and he looked at us funny as if we were making an absurd request. It's pretty normal to receive a receipt at checkout to reflect no extra charges such as a late checkout. We brought up our complaint about the room not being what we paid for. We were told it was our fault for not saying anything. I mentioned the floors being dirty and they never addressed that. We spoke with management who intervened and not once did we get an apology. We didn't even ask for compensation for not getting the correct room. Instead, staff gaslighted us and made it "our fault". It's not our fault when it clearly shows online that the room advertised as a "Family Suite" is the SAME ROOM as the one we stayed in. They told us that we should have asked for room 13 but how are we to know that room 13 is the correct room to be in? We don't work there. I spoke with management on the phone a few times. By the third time that we tried to communicate why we were upset, he said he had several people in the lobby and hung up on me. Interesting that that's the case because it was 2 PM which is after check out, before check in, and quite suspicious because they seem to be okay with locking the office and providing no service to customers. I've never been treated so horribly before. After mentioning he never once apologized, I still did not receive an apology. The manager has a big, fragile ego and has no interest in making his staff's mistakes correct. Another thing: the shower is not a hand held shower as described on hotels.com. It had too much pressure for my 1 and 3 yo. We had to fill sand buckets with warm water and wash them in the shower because the pressure was too much for small kids. It was also listed as 1k square feet. While I didn't bring anything to measure it, I've lived in a 1k sq foot apartment. This is probably around half give/take some. Management was upset when I said that they lied and they insisted they hadn't. I'm insisting they are. read more

Excellent little motel. Very clean and extremely comfy bed. Very well maintained as well!

Second time staying there in the last few months. We are making it our place to stay when coming to cayucos. Located right across the street from the beach and next to restaurants abd shops on the Main Street. Very nice owners. When you enter your room you smell cleanliness. The bed was comfortable. I live that there is no carpet but some linoleum instead. The grounds are very cute, very well maintained and each room has a table abs chair outside to hang out. We can't wait to come back. read more

This place is a very basic -- but clean, updated and friendly motel. Definitely better than sketchy chain motels in the area! First the location is great, right in the middle of downtown Cayucos and 1 block from the beach. Space, linens, towels etc were super clean and there was daily housecleaning on request. Our room was big, nice bed, well positioned flat screen TV. It was a great value and the owners were friendly as well. The perfect place if you want somewhere pleasant and reliable to sleep while exploring the Central Coast! read more

We stayed 3 nights. The room was very clean! The owner and staff were excellent! Anything we needed we just asked and it was answered with a positive attitude and smile! The beach is right across the street, I love that. We would definitely stay here again, no problem!!! I highly recommend this place with a 5 star rating!
