Central Coast Garage Doors was contacted after we called the service company that fixed our garage door earlier in the year. That person reattached the drive belt plate with larger screws. He indicated it might not hold. Unfortunately, we accidently had the garage door go down on oue car as the vehicle was pulled out half way from the garage to retrieve some items in a cabinet. I called person who reattached the elbow. He indicated that reattaching with screws was not a viable option. He said the panel needed to be replaced for $1400. Also, I had requested a quote on a new door as well from him. Because I thought I was possibly doing to purchase a new door as the panel seemed expensive to buy and match the other three panels. With a new door in mind, I called I called Central Coast Garage Doors to get a quote. Junior asked me why and to please send a photo of current damage as he was fairly confident, he could fix the existing panel. I sent the photo. In 2 days, he was my premises with his solution. He added some steel plates and fixed the panel for less than $100. He also adjusted both springs to reduce the pull on the elbow. I told him he was absolutely creative with his solution and adjustments. He installed 3 very solid brackets. In passing,Junior mentioned the cost of a new door which was after his fix. I highly recommended Central Coast Garage Doors. On Tuesday as I was going to leave for work I heard a loud snap when I went to open my garage door and although the motor was spinning the garage door wouldn't go up. Before I called CCGD, I contacted 3 other places and none could make it out that day. Once I reached CCGD, Jr. stated that he could stop by that day after he finished the job he was currently working on and let me know the issue was. He showed up about a hour later and discovered that a part in the motor of my 23 year old garage door was broken and the garage door opener would need to be replaced. I went to Home Depot and bought a new garage door opener. When trying to decide on which one I should buy I called him for his opinion on which of two was best. He took the time to let me know what had been his experiences with both brands. I made my selection and also bought bottom weather seal strip which also needed to be replaced. I had a special work event the following day which I had been working on for six months and Secretary of State reps were coming out to work the event with my office so I couldn't miss the event and didn't want to leave my garage door not working. Jr. offered to come out at 5:30 a.m. to install the garage door opener so I could make my event on time. He showed up on time and did a great job. My cousin recommended Junior (Jr Lopez) to me after he had a high end Martin Garage door installed. I thought I might need a new door but after I sent a few photos to him he felt he could repair it. I worked along side him and watched how skilled and efficient he was. He is a skilled carpenter and really knows his way around a garage door. He got my door working beautifully, and charged a very reasonable price. He was pretty busy and I did have to call him back several times to arrange the service. I saw him field many calls while while working on the door. He needs an assistant. My advice is don't be put off if it take a little effort to set up a time etc. Be persistent. We had issues with our 3 garage door clickers and tried programming our new vehicle. The instructions were not clear and somehow all clickers did not work.
