I definitely recommend this place. Jose was very accommodating. In a world where trust is fleeting, Jose is one that you can trust.

No one available for a jump, but All Around Towing came highly recommended, so gave them a buzz. From phone call to arrival at my place was maybe 27 minutes. Friendly service, affordable rates, and got us rolling in no time flat. Would 100% use again!

I told him I wanted to know, top to bottom, everything wrong with it before deciding whether to put a new engine in. Here is what happened, based on our text messages. April 6: John inspected the truck and recommended replacing the engine. April 12: Quoted $5,500, with the engine arriving that Thursday and the work done "next weekend." April 24: Supplemental parts added $520. April 26 to May 4: Delays with the camshaft, exhaust manifold and power steering line. A promised Sunday completion passed with no update. May 6: Truck ready, about three weeks after the original target. Total paid was about $5,800 after a $200 delay discount. May 8: The truck failed state inspection at another shop with the check engine light on. May 16: Ten days after pickup, the truck broke down. A pulley reused from the old engine failed, and the engine overheated and cracked the radiator. I paid to tow it back. May 16 to June 25: The truck sat at their yard for another six weeks. John was away for part of that time, and I was told to contact staff for updates. The radiator, thermostat, exhaust manifold, sensors and wiring were worked on, then the truck lost fuel pressure. On June 13 John told me he didn't have time to work on my truck anymore. I paid for the fuel pump, and he installed it. To be fair, John covered the labor and several parts on those follow-up repairs at no charge, and he sent detailed texts when he did respond. But I often had to chase updates, and timelines kept changing. June to July: Another shop told me some damage needed repair from the fuel pump reinstall. October: With only about 430 miles on the engine, the truck is down again. My new mechanic found the fuel pump losing power in the wiring, plus a coolant leak. In writing, John said there were "2 issues all along," including the fuel pump circuit, but he declined to help in any way. I'm still waiting on paperwork for the engine and its warranty. Between both visits, my truck spent about nine weeks at their yard, and I've put thousands more into it since. If you use them for mechanical work, get the parts source, warranty and timeline in writing before you start.
