Very strange shop.. I went into this place to see how much it would be for a repair to the back…read morelift gate on my 24 Honda. It's a pretty sizable dent and my PDR guy didn't want to touch it. I show up and the first guy goes out and looks at it. We go back inside and he gets gramps to look at it. We walk outside and first thing that comes out of gramp's mouth... "ahhhhhhh, that's aluminum". I know it's not but I'll just let the old man play his game. He proceeds to get a magnet and lo and behold... it sticks. He then attempts to tell me how the paint is specific. The paint code is B-638p. You talk it up all you want... paint code, is a paint code, it's a paint code. He then tells me that we can paint the bottom half and that will save me some money. We all walk in and they give me some "napkin" verbalized ridiculous estimate of $2500.00. I explain to them that I there are four wrecked ones in the state of New York and I'll just go pick up a non-damaged lift gate and install it myself. Ready for this? Ol' man gramps then tells me that Honda will need to "reprogram" the car. I laugh and tell him that there aren't any computers in the back of the car. He responds, "anytime you unplug anything, you have to have it reprogrammed". Weird, I literally just changed the battery and upgraded the alternator less than 7 days ago. As an insurance claims professional, and one of the top catastrophic insurance claims adjusters in the country that handles 1000s of litigated claims per year, these antics and practices is what kills the entire business. I just spoke last year for the state of Florida regarding these same practices in both the personal lines and automotive industry. As a claims professional with 20+ years in the industry... run from shops like this.

Avoid Limerick Auto Body, Poor Experience and Poor Quality Work:…read more I do not typically write negative reviews for a given business, however, I will make an exception for Limerick Auto Body. I brought my Mercedes Benz to Limerick Auto Body to have the rear bumper repainted. I was told they needed the car for 4 days to complete the job. I arrived to pick up the car on the 4th day only to discover that the surface was not prepped properly prior to painting as they did not sand all the road line paint off the rear bumper prior to painting it. In essence, they just painted over it which is poor quality auto body work. I rejected the body work on the car, and the bumper was repainted and clear coated for a second time. This required an additional two days. I picked up the car after 6 days only to discover the next day that they did not wet sand and buff out all the dirt particles and sanding marks throughout the clear coat of the entire rear bumper. The rear bumper was also poorly aligned with the body of the car showing excessive gaps. In addition, the radar sensor on the passenger side of the car was not recalibrated correctly by Limerick Auto Body. As a result, I took the car to another auto body shop for an estimate to fix what Limerick Auto Body did not and cannot do properly. The cost to realign the rear bumper and wet sand and buff out all the dirt particles in the clear coat is about $500.00. Unfortunately, this will be at my expense. Limerick Auto Body had two chances to properly complete the job, and they failed to do so on both occasions which is ridiculous. Clearly, Limerick Auto Body is a low-end, poor quality auto body shop and guaranteed to disappoint. The owner just makes excuses for low quality auto body work and should be embarrassed. Surprisingly, Limerick Auto Body's slogan is "Excellence Guaranteed". I can guarantee you that is not what I found. Save yourself the time and aggravation and look for another auto body shop as quality, craftsmanship, attention to detail and customer satisfaction are foreign concepts to the owner of Limerick Auto Body and his team.
