Recently had my Mercedes repaired, looked like new. So here's the basic story. I was driving on 422 and a truck tire blew out in front of me. You know all that shrapnel you see from shredded truck tires? Well all that hit my car after a tire exploded right in front of me. There was no way to avoid huge chunks of it without crashing into the cars next to me. So off to Limerick Auto Body I went. Now, I do know the owner, Tom, for some years now. I had never used him for body work prior to this incident, but thought of him first. I would not be disappointed. I have a high end Mercedes CLS 550. I love this car and desperately wanted it to be returned to new. Tom, Jay and Alese handled everything from start to finish. They dealt smoothly with my insurance company and all I needed to do was drop the car off and pick it up. Communication through the repair period was excellent. There was, as always, some minor additions to the repair work order. Jay handled all that with ease and communicated it to me and the insurance company. When I went to pick up my car, it looked showroom new. They even detailed the exterior and interior of the car. I was not expecting that. I know this was a minor repair, but it was done to perfection. Even days later I keep looking for flaws with the work, because I'm anal, and cannot find anything. Tom and crew have won my respect and future business, as well as telling all that Limerick Auto Body should be their first call when sh*t happens to your car. Avoid Limerick Auto Body, Poor Experience and Poor Quality Work: I do not typically write negative reviews for a given business, however, I will make an exception for Limerick Auto Body. I brought my Mercedes Benz to Limerick Auto Body to have the rear bumper repainted. I was told they needed the car for 4 days to complete the job. I arrived to pick up the car on the 4th day only to discover that the surface was not prepped properly prior to painting as they did not sand all the road line paint off the rear bumper prior to painting it. In essence, they just painted over it which is poor quality auto body work. I rejected the body work on the car, and the bumper was repainted and clear coated for a second time. This required an additional two days. I picked up the car after 6 days only to discover the next day that they did not wet sand and buff out all the dirt particles and sanding marks throughout the clear coat of the entire rear bumper. The rear bumper was also poorly aligned with the body of the car showing excessive gaps. In addition, the radar sensor on the passenger side of the car was not recalibrated correctly by Limerick Auto Body. As a result, I took the car to another auto body shop for an estimate to fix what Limerick Auto Body did not and cannot do properly. The cost to realign the rear bumper and wet sand and buff out all the dirt particles in the clear coat is about $500.00. Unfortunately, this will be at my expense. Limerick Auto Body had two chances to properly complete the job, and they failed to do so on both occasions which is ridiculous. Clearly, Limerick Auto Body is a low-end, poor quality auto body shop and guaranteed to disappoint. The owner just makes excuses for low quality auto body work and should be embarrassed. Surprisingly, Limerick Auto Body's slogan is "Excellence Guaranteed". I can guarantee you that is not what I found. Save yourself the time and aggravation and look for another auto body shop as quality, craftsmanship, attention to detail and customer satisfaction are foreign concepts to the owner of Limerick Auto Body and his team. read more

Just retrieved my 2014 Subaru Crosstrek from Limerick Auto Body. Accident from Jan this year resulted in the right front quarter panel totally annihilated. ,Jay checked the damage and assessed the insurance companys estimate. Set up appointment for March 20 for repair with estimated completion date of April 6. Got a call March 31 car was done one week early (pleasant surprise). Long story short, the work was perfect. Surprise #2 car had been totally washed up and waxed when I picked it up. Surprise #3 The actual workshop area was immaculate, contrary to what one might expect. All in all I don't think you'll find a better repair shop. I highly recom mend. read more

Had an absolutely terrible experience, made an appointment to get an estimate and the guy I met with named Jay was less than helpless. I showed him the work i needed done and explained what happened. He appeared very discouraged off the start and was extremely unpleasant. After inspecting the car and hearing what i had to say, he goes "So what do you even want me to do?". He then told me he was booked for another 8 weeks, which would've been great to know before i took time out of my day to go somewhere that won't be able to help me. So after avoiding a major screw job by my dealer (Tri County Jeep) I took my car to Limerick Auto Body. I had 2 rubber windshield cowling pieces that had completely rotted away. This is a car that was mostly garage kept and less than 42000 miles on it. MY dealer quoted me $318.00 to replace these parts with the rubber parts quoted at $180.00. Jay came out of his office, looked at the issue on the car, took pictures and went back inside. I told him what I was quoted previously and when he came out he asked again what was the price they wanted for just the parts. When I said $180.00, he laughed and said they cost $15.00 apiece. And that all he had to do was pop out the old ones and pop in the replacement parts. When the parts came in the next 2 days, I drove up to the shop, left the car there, went across the street for a quick soda. It was done before I could finish. Maybe 15 minutes. Final price $98.37. A staggering price differential of $219.63! In my experience, Trust is something earned or given - in this case Limerick Autobody has earned mine. Which is a good thing because Tri County has squandered what ever trust I had in them before. read more

Fortunately, I have no experience with body shops. Limerick was convenient so I stopped in for an estimate. I didn't know I needed an appointment but everyone was gracious and my car got looked at within a few minutes. My lease was ending and I needed the work done. I knew I needed a hood and Jay, the estimator, agreed and pointed out where the grille was cracked and damage to the bumper, neither of which I'd seen but were obvious. Got the estimate and an appointment for 3 wks later. Repair was said to take 6 days. I can't comment on the price since I didn't shop around. Then the pandemic hit. My appointment was honored, everything went smoothly, and the car was finished in 2 days. Before work was begun, I was told there was bumper damage visible when on the lift, estimated at $150, which I declined. No pressure. Final bill was $80 under the estimate, car looked great, and passed the end of lease inspection with no problem. Definitely would consider them for any future needs. read more

I took my husband's car here after the wind blew another person's door into the side. Jay made time for me to stop by on short notice. He took a a look at the damage and it ended up being only cosmetic. He was able to polish out the scrape within minutes and I was on my way. Waited over 2 months for repairs to be completed. was even told by Jay that the reason my repair was taking so long was because they had other work to do, this was after my vehicle was in their shop for over 6 weeks. When we finally got the vehicle back it had paint overspray on the bumper and trim and the interior was packed with sanding dust. If your repairs are delayed for parts availability they will move on to other vehicles and get to yours when they have time. Stay away. read more

Limerick Auto Body did an excellent job on repairing our 2014 Dodge Grand Caravan to its pre-accident condition....new. Jay worked with the appraiser and went to bat for us to ensure that OEM parts were used and not aftermarket. The job was started and finished as promised. Overall a very good experience. Helese was very helpful with coordinating the drop-off and pickup of our vehicle. I would definitely recommend them to anyone who needs to have autobody work done and would use them for any future repairs. read more
