Its icecream season and if you don't care/can ignore the attitude then this place is worth a stop. The decor is damn cute... vintage nostalgic vibe for sure..It's probably one of the very few good ice cream spots in the area. They have quite the range of flavors, Vanilla, coffee, strawberry, chocolate, cherry almost chip, banana chip, mint chip, mango coconut, peanut butter and pineapple coconut. I recommend making it a sundae... that's how I like to eat ice cream. I love the fudge...the nuts... the fruit, the cake...basically the whole nine yards. The bigger the better.. more value for your buck. A single scoop sundae is $5.50 vs a split that's about $8.50 ish. The fudge reminded me of "corner house" back home where I frequently ate as a kid. Last night I met a friend at Center Scoop, before going to the movies. Center Scoop is a very small and looks to be a pretty new home made ice cream shop. There are a few spots for sitting outside, and a few for indoor seating. There's games and a small rug for little kids to play. In addition to ice cream you can also get coffee, hot chocolate and smoothies here. They have around ten ice cream flavors to choose from, I went with Lavender Chip. I should have tried a sample before settling on this flavor. I can't say I've tried eating lavender before, but I know what it smells like. I was just very intrigued by this flavor. This was a pretty big let down, my friend decided to treat me, and she got me three scoops! This is very, very weak tasting vanilla ice cream with chocolate chips. There's nothing lavender about it. Even if it was labeled vanilla chip, I would still be disappointed because I could hardly taste the vanilla. I couldn't finish my ice cream this time, which has never happened before. I can't speak for the other flavors, but Lavender Chip was a let down. read more

Finally got a chance to check out this local homemade ice cream shop even during the cold weather of February. Running into the store owner in my travels I was able to find out the times that she is open typically in the afternoons and weekends, I hopped right over after work dreaming on a delicious milkshake but actually opted for a two scoop Lavender Chip and boy was I glad I got it. This was only my second time enjoying a lavender infused sweet treat this one has a more creamy and sweet taste to my bites that the previous place I tried it at. When you bring that spoon to your mouth you immediately smell the lavender aroma before tasting it on the tip of your tongue. As you continue to enjoy your dessert you'll then taste the chocolate chips. This is a treat you'll want to take your time to enjoy so you can continue to taste that lavender otherwise it'll get a little overpowered by the chocolate lingering in your mouth. All in all a great item that survived a 20 min drive in my car before I got to dive it. The scoops are large and creamy with great texture that almost bent the plastic spoon I had. Perfect last minute stop On a beautiful Sunday afternoon at Center Scoop Ice cream shop, while we were in Manchester. The flavors are unique And old fashioned, depending on what you're looking for. They also offer dairy free ice cream and have refrigerated single serve sorbets. I sat outside for a few minutes and enjoyed watching people across the street at the park. A staff member came outside and told me that they forgot to give me a scoop of ice cream. That was so honest and appreciated. The serving was so big, I didn't even recognize I was missing a scoop! I went for 2 3 scoops. Cherry Lavender chip was my favorite scoop. In general, the ice creams were low in flavor. Pistachio scoop had nice full pistachios, but was low on flavor. The ice cream tasted ok, but it was the smallest scoop I can remember having. Looked more like a heaping tablespoon than a scoop. Small amount of watery whipped cream. There were two people working - they moved incredibly slowly, were unfriendly (no interest in answering questions) and generally acted like they didn't want to be there. To start, I don't usually like to complain, however, I tried to stop in on my way home from work today (Monday 11/25) at 7pm for a scoop of ice cream but, they were closed and seemingly for a while prior to my arrival at 7. I double checked business hours, the sign in the window and online both say open daily Monday-Sunday 2-8pm. As a potential customer, this is frustrating going out of my way to attempt to stop and buy ice cream expecting them to be open when I am arriving within "business hours" and them being closed. I can accept if I had arrived closer to 8 for them to be closed or "closing". I understand that it is winter time and a Monday, such that sales are likely slower, but I expect to be able to buy a scoop of ice cream if I am arriving within business hours at a reasonable time. Additionally, I checked both Instagram and Facebook so see if there was any information into why they had closed early, such as an emergency or something, but there was no information or post suggesting as such. As a paying customer, I expect to be able to buy something from any business, barring any extenuating circumstances, if I arrive within business hours. I am sure the owners are nice and the ice cream is good, but I wish I was able to buy a scoop of ice cream tonight and I was unable to, thus 1/5 stars. read more

I am so excited to finally have an ice cream shop on Main Street in Manchester. My family & I love supporting local businesses and Center Scoop will definitely be receiving a TON from us. The decor is so cute and reminds me of a 50's soda pop shop. There is a vibrant turquoise on the walls. Now let's talk about flavors!!!! There are a ton to choose from. They also offer dairy free options as well as Italian ice. Then of course there are toppings to choose from as well as milkshakes, sundaes and even smoothies!!! My son got the 6oz vanilla milkshake and it was flavorful and delicious. I got a 2 scoop sundae with espresso chip, whip cream and fudge....yum!!! I decided to give you the benefit of the doubt when you first opened and made that same mistake and followed up with a pitiful excuse on Facebook claiming you didn't have supplies- owners are the same as Center Perk so supplies could have been borrowed, unless C.P. also had none and should not have been operational. This review is primarily on the safety practices of this establishment. There were tables outside, but I didn't see any staff come out to see if they needed to be cleaned after patrons left them. There were clear markers on where to stand and fairly fast service to keep the line moving. They only allowed so many people in the store. However, NONE of the staff including the woman taking orders (who was in contact with everyone who walked in the store) were wearing a mask. I love the location, decor and variety of delicious flavors. It's like an old timey ice cream parlor from days gone by. My dog also loves coming along for a pup cup and lots of attention from other patrons. What me and my dog didn't like so much was the long wait which was made longer by the staff that insists on removing each vat of ice cream from the freezer case counter and absconding to a prep table where they scoop out cones or pour sprinkle and spurt out toppings should someone order something more involved. They do this whether you order a sundae or a plain old vanilla cone. This is silly. I've never been in an ice cream shop where the staff didn't just lean into the freezer and pack a cone or cup right there for a customer who's just waiting to give them a tip. From an organizational stand point, Center Scoop needs work. From an aesthetic and taste bud point of view, Center Scoop is dynamite. read more

I came here for the first time to check it out. It's a cute location. There were plenty of customers lined up inside and eating outside on the table. I waited for it to clear up a bit to ensure social distancing before entering. I tasted the lavender chip which has a great lavender flavor but a very sweet after taste. I then tasted espresso chip. It was much less striking to my palate in sweetness so I opted for a scoop of this. The consistency was smooth and creamy and solid. However, it lacked a robust espresso coffee flavor. And when I bit into the chocolate chip it was like the ones you get out of a grocery store variety for baking, very hard and hardly any chocolate flavor. You have to chew it a lot to get some taste of chocolate. I was disappointed to say the least because I had high hopes for a homemade ice cream shop which is definitely not the gourmet variety.
