Center "Scoop" right across from the library. What a great combo; books and a sweet treat.

Finally got a chance to check out this local homemade ice cream shop even during the cold weather of February. Running into the store owner in my travels I was able to find out the times that she is open typically in the afternoons and weekends, I hopped right over after work dreaming on a delicious milkshake but actually opted for a two scoop Lavender Chip and boy was I glad I got it. This was only my second time enjoying a lavender infused sweet treat this one has a more creamy and sweet taste to my bites that the previous place I tried it at. When you bring that spoon to your mouth you immediately smell the lavender aroma before tasting it on the tip of your tongue. As you continue to enjoy your dessert you'll then taste the chocolate chips. This is a treat you'll want to take your time to enjoy so you can continue to taste that lavender otherwise it'll get a little overpowered by the chocolate lingering in your mouth. All in all a great item that survived a 20 min drive in my car before I got to dive it. The scoops are large and creamy with great texture that almost bent the plastic spoon I had. I love hard ice cream that plays hard to get haha.

Cute ice cream shop with both indoor and outdoor seating + homemade ice cream (although they get the mix from Fish Family Farm). They have a wide variety of flavors and delicious homemade waffle cones. I was not a fan of their ice cream or the chips (they were tiny and not very flavorful) however Ice Cream Quality: 4/10 Overall: 3/10

This is what their small scoop looks like.

Very disappointing. I was here when you first opened and there were a lot of flavors and generous portions. I decided to stop by today and got a small scoop of Toffee Crunch ice cream that was $5.25 and it was the smallest scoop I've ever received anywhere. Not worth the money at all because it wasn't even that good. Won't be back.

Perfect last minute stop On a beautiful Sunday afternoon at Center Scoop Ice cream shop, while we were in Manchester. The flavors are unique And old fashioned, depending on what you're looking for. They also offer dairy free ice cream and have refrigerated single serve sorbets. I sat outside for a few minutes and enjoyed watching people across the street at the park. A staff member came outside and told me that they forgot to give me a scoop of ice cream. That was so honest and appreciated. The serving was so big, I didn't even recognize I was missing a scoop! I definitely will visit them again for some more lavender ice cream. That was so good, Please keep it on the menu!! I support this business 100%!

I went for 2 3 scoops. Cherry Lavender chip was my favorite scoop. In general, the ice creams were low in flavor. Pistachio scoop had nice full pistachios, but was low on flavor. There was no banana flavor the day I went. I wanted to try that flavor. Butter finger was a good flavor as well. Cannoli chip, coffee almond and maple walnut were all decent flavors.

Stopped here with my kids after a busy day of house shopping and was beyond happy to explore. We walked in and loved the options and toppings, we tried a few flavors like key lime, rum raisin, strawberry short cake, lots of cookies, birthday cake ect before settling on our flavors and toppings. With so many flavor choices we can't wait to come back and try some more.

I am so excited to finally have an ice cream shop on Main Street in Manchester. My family & I love supporting local businesses and Center Scoop will definitely be receiving a TON from us. The decor is so cute and reminds me of a 50's soda pop shop. There is a vibrant turquoise on the walls. Now let's talk about flavors!!!! There are a ton to choose from. They also offer dairy free options as well as Italian ice. Then of course there are toppings to choose from as well as milkshakes, sundaes and even smoothies!!! My son got the 6oz vanilla milkshake and it was flavorful and delicious. I got a 2 scoop sundae with espresso chip, whip cream and fudge....yum!!! Plus they milk they use is locally sourced to make all their flavors!! This is a great addition to Manchester!!!

I'm sorry, but not wearing masks and those that had them on not wearing them over their noses means my business will go elsewhere. I decided to give you the benefit of the doubt when you first opened and made that same mistake and followed up with a pitiful excuse on Facebook claiming you didn't have supplies- owners are the same as Center Perk so supplies could have been borrowed, unless C.P. also had none and should not have been operational. Please have more consideration for your staff and customers during these uncertain times. When I saw the improper mask usage I left immediately. I love supporting small business, but I also believe in integrity.

This review is primarily on the safety practices of this establishment. There were tables outside, but I didn't see any staff come out to see if they needed to be cleaned after patrons left them. There were clear markers on where to stand and fairly fast service to keep the line moving. They only allowed so many people in the store. However, NONE of the staff including the woman taking orders (who was in contact with everyone who walked in the store) were wearing a mask. With stores just now being able to open, that's just not something I want to see while out trying to support a local business.

Best Ice Cream Shop in the area, still needs work…read more This place has popped up on my radar as a roll place to give a try. So after a dinner we came to this place to give them a try. The place is pretty sparse on decoration, opting for paint splatters around the entire location. Which is fine, it's an ice cream shop so it needs to be fun. There was a staff of about 3-4 people manning the front, so plenty of people to help us along. Menu was on the wall facing away from the front desk area, which is weird. But I took a look, ordered a cookie monster, and waited for the rolls. Another little bit of weirdness. the anti-griddles were by the register, but hidden behind the toppings. You really couldn't watch the person go to town to make your roll. Part of the fun is being able to watch your ordering person go through and make the ice cream right in front of you. A missed opportunity with all the toppings and stuff blocking the view. Lastly, and this is the weirdest decision out of all of them, they used a generic soft serve base for the roll. If it wasn't soft serve base, they used some pre-sugared heavy whipping cream. It probably made the workers job easier to make the rolls, but it kind of lead to this overly sugary ice cream with a clumpy, waxy mouthfeel. As a man who likes his sweets, it was almost too much sugar to deal with. The price is okay, about average for this style of ice cream. The lack of "show", the sugary thick base, and the small cups that don't get filled all the way with rolled ice cream makes this feel not as great of a purchase. These problems are all solvable fairly easily. Add a menu to behind the register, get more areas to stash the candies and mix-ins. Open the windows to the griddle and invite patrons to watch their ice cream come to life, and switch out the soft serve base for either some straight up whole milk or a milk and cream mix. This may up the complexity of making said rolled ice cream, but it'll be better received and will be a fresher product than shelf-stable mixes. If you haven't tried a roll before, or you really want ice cream, this place is worth a try. There are better ice cream places if you travel, and I have had pretty good rolls at other locations. It works for where it is

Walk inside this hole in the wall, take in the colorful design and fun atmosphere, and toil over which flavors you want to indulge in. I got the Monkey'n Around (banana and Nutella with walnuts) and in about 5 minutes, I got my ice cream roll fix. Everything costs about $9, and each cup has 4 rolls on it. I will say that in comparison to other places I've been, the serving size here is smaller, but the price is higher. I'll be back because my kids enjoyed the experience, though I may skip to save me a tenner.

A stop on the way back to UCONN when I was a student there. The "go to" place after our kids' school events. Shortly after we moved to Manchester, over 38 years ago, the restaurant was closed for renovations. We were looking forward to seeing the revamped restaurant. Well, we were even more surprised when we stepped in the door - nothing had changed! Cleaner, perhaps new Naugahyde on the seats, but that mural on the wall was the same - those elves were timeless. When you sit down, you get a small paper cup of water. The menus are on the the wall - soups, sandwiches & ice cream. I'd always heard they had a patent on the way their cheeseburgers were made - a burger topped with crispy cheese. A must have. Prior to Covid, the condiments tray had ketchup, mustard & chopped onions. Now, there are packets of the condiments. No onions though. We shared an order of fries - crispy & good. I was too full to have ice cream after our meal, so we brought a half gallon (yes - a real half gallon) of our favorite flavor home - chocolate almond joy. Yum! Note - you need cash. No cards. There is an ATM in the restaurant.

Since it's a popular choice, expect crowds til late afternoon for lunch. I didn't notice their breakfast menu among those posted on the walls, but apparently it is served til 11am. As for lunch, the cole slaw is surprisingly superior to most if not all other diners/cafes. Though prices have increased with inflation, still a great value and more competitive than many other comparable places in the state. Furthermore, the consistent taste and nostalgic ambiance are all still intact. Main offerings are between-bread - i.e., sandwiches, so limited options if you have dietary restrictions like having to eat gluten-free (soups contain gluten; I didn't ask if any of the platters could be made GF though), but their iconic fried cheese is still available as an a la carte side. Ice cream flavors include seasonal highlights like pumpkin chocolate chip, and their shakes are generous and delicious. I recommend asking what additional flavors they have available that are not listed on the wall menu. If there are kids in your party, be sure to look out for the table placard with the Children's Menu; the kids in our group enjoyed the chicken platter which included fries, a drink, and 2 substantial breaded chicken fillets.
