    Big ass taco.

Food was great Minus one star because the inside needs updates. But overall I like the food, big portions and tasty!

Wow impressed by this place. The Cemita bread is made in house and served toasted and filled with generous amounts of cheese avocado, chili and meat. My husband ordered a quesadilla mixta of Huitracoche and flor de calabasa. The quesadilla itself was almost a foot long. The tortilla was hand made and generously filled with cheese, flor de calabasa and Huitracoche. Both dishes were freshly made and full of flavor. I will defenetly be returning here.

This is a quaint little spot here in Boyle Heights. The food is good and its nice and clean. We will definitely be coming here again! Oh and they have an "A"

    Not a good location

The food wasn't good. I ordered one of their cemitas and it was dry. It was like I was eating beef jerky wrapped in burnt Sour dough bread. I gave their tamales a shot but I should have known better based on my experience with what I had just ate. They were dry and flavorless.

    Yummy

Now when you pull up originally you might think, "am I in the right place" but once you park and get into the courtyard, it is LOVELY! Amazing ambience! There is a bocce set up, string lights. It is a little slice of oasis in the middle of the fashion district. The restaurant itself - beautiful. I couldn't ask for more. Absolutely perfect in my book. Beautiful plants hanging, perfect Spanish music in the background (any place playing Natalia LaFourcade is a win). The drinks were great! I had the jungle bird which was fun. Food was so good too. The whipped beans are the star! We had the guacamole which was tasty, great tostadas with it. The arepas were good but the pork belly was a little too fatty (I know pork belly is always fatty) to the point the fat muted the flavored for the arepa a bit, but still delicious. The empanadas were great and as someone who lived in South America and ate empanadas every day, these really took me back to my Paraguay days. The squash blossoms were light and perfectly fried. Unfortunately my friends had gone to Funke the night before so they were comparing the squash blossoms and Funke won out, but they still liked Dama's! Small plates were enough for the 3 of us. The service was quick and attentive. Parking was easy for us. I will definitely be back!

We waited around 20-25 minutes total and the line moved pretty efficiently, plus it gave us enough time to figure out what we wanted. After ordering, they give you a number and start bringing dishes to your table within about 10-15 minutes, which felt impressively fast considering how packed the place was. Everything tasted incredibly fresh and high quality. We ordered the smoked kanpachi taco, taco de pulpo en su tinta, shrimp aguachile, ceviche mixto, sea urchin, kanpachi & uni tostada, and lenguado tostada. My absolute favorite was the sea urchin, it comes in its shell, cut in half so it feels like two small portions, and the combination of fish, uni, and the light sauce was amazing. The kanpachi & uni tostada was another standout (clearly a must if you love uni). Overall, such a great experience. Amazing fresh seafood, efficient service, and every staff member we interacted with was incredibly friendly. Definitely worth the visit.

I tried the papusa and the rainbow taco platter. Each of the tacos was absolutely wonderful and paired well with the salsa. I loved how fresh the ginger tasted in the B & H smoothie. The owner was so friendly and helpful, and he took a moment to share his mission of making health food that doesn't just avoid animal products, but also nourishes the body. I ordered the enchiladas (one Paula's Mix and one the Chickpea Mix filling). They were stuffed with so many beans and veggies and piled with more veggies on top. The veggies were seasoned so well and the salsas (both red and green) were delicious. It came with a choice of sides and a side salad as well. My husband got the 16 oz Al Pastor Bowl and a pupusa on the side. Both were delicious. The restaurant was small inside, but very clean and had a friendly atmosphere. Parking was a bit of a hassle - street parking only in a jam-packed neighborhood, but it was well worth circling to find a spot. We will definitely be back.

I always make big orders, and share with family and friends. today I made a regular size order (5 arepas con queso y 10 empanadas) picked them up on my break. Get back to work and noticed none of the arepas had cheese. called and let them know. Didn't ask for anything. After thinking about it, asked if I could stop later, on my way home, to pick up the missing cheese. The lady said of course and that she'd be there. She offered a free order of arepas to fix their mistake. Once I arrived the lady recognized me right away and told me they would give me three arepas, I said that was fine. She told me it was going to be a while and couldn't tell me how long because there was a big order. Then she came out of the kitchen and said the owner had said Two arepas. I told her that was fine, but I was more concerned about the time it would take. I heard the owner saying from the kitchen that it would be fast. I said ok. I asked if I could have cheese for the other three arepas. The owner told (from the kitchen) no! That she'd was giving me two arepas already. I asked her to come out and speak to me that I had not asked for anything free and did not want to eat the initial arepas without cheese. She replied that she could not come out of the kitchen to speak to me because she was busy. I didn't say anything else and left without the cheese I had original requested or more arepas. Not sure where she thought she was doing me a favor. They made me the mistake and handled the whole situation as if they were accommodating me for something I had done! I will never go back or any of my friends or family.
