Cemita de milanesa and quesadilla de chicharrón prensado

Small place not a lot of seating but the food is delicious. The service is good too. Definitely coming back.

    The menu.

Living L.A. and surrounding area of L.A. and other cities, you can find a good cheap meal at a affordable price. Mexican food is the main steam culture living in L.A. They are probably about 20 states or more in Mexico having their own main dish. One of my favorite dish I have so many the one stand the best is mole this a time consuming to prepare this sauce. I found this small restaurant in the city of Bell serve good mole my wife and I decided to go to this restaurant and try the food. When we arrive at the restaurant they people in the restaurant having their dinner and enjoy the food.. We look at the menu and see what to order they have many type of Mexican dishes from all over Mexico. I decided to get the mole con Pollo a traditional mole classic, the mole can be spicy or sweet depend on cook. We were surprised the staff is all women,Mexican women knows how to cook because they learn from their grandmother and mothers. My wife order a Al Pastor torta and for drinks my wife got a Hochata and myself a Jamaica or Hibiscus drink they were very good. They brought us our meal my moles plate look very good and they brought hand made gtortillas that including my meal. I took some bite of my mole com Pollo wow so good, the mole was little spicy and little bite sweet so much flavor it also have some toasted sesame seed on the mole. The chicken was amazing full of flavor and rice and bean were good. We will come again soon and a different item.

Expected more for a $10 cemita. Bread was a little tough and they put mint in it. Extremely overpowering the entire cemita.

My dad ordered the Ceviche Nayarit, I ordered the Enchiladas La Casita Mexicana and my wife ordered the Enchiladas Tres Moles. The ceviche tasted fresh, but not really my favorite dish were had. I would say the Enchiladas Tres Moles was my favorite dish we picked. My only problem with that dish was that I wanted more. The plate they served it on made the 3 Enchiladas look small. Customer service was great. Food was great. The interior/exterior was really nice. If you have dogs the patio section in the back is where you'll want to eat from. Great experience. I'd come here again.

I forgot exactly what I had, I want to say it was bistec ranchero or something like that. it was good, nothing bad, but also felt average. They served us chips with mole on top and I was like, why did they pour mole all over, bring a little bucket of mole and let me dip it on the side. That's what a good Christian would do, but no, they went with an anti-Christian practice here, communist almost. don't assume I want everything with mole. I would have been ok with it if the mole had been bomb ass good, but it was ok. I had heard this place used original Oaxacan mole or something so I was hyped. My wife had some eggs with whatever the heck a Filipino woman orders at a Mexican place and she's was fine. I feel bad about this review, maybe this place is a victim of its former reputation, and I was expecting very good Mexican food and all I got was OK Mexican food. Also, for a true Mexican spot, you need to have café Mexicano, with canelita and the waiter told me they didn't have any. How can this be? I do not approve. Maybe if you are white or non-Mexican or a fake Mexican, I think you would have a different opinion of this place, you might think is great, just like El Torito is. Am I confusing this place with some other restaurant because the place I heard of was in Bell and the cooks/chefs were this renowned chefs and I don't think that's the case here or now. For sure, this place is not bad and I don't think you will get bad food, it was just underwhelming.

For us, that's El Ranchito in Huntington Park. It's a family-owned, authentic Mexican restaurant that has had the community on its back for the last 6 decades. They hand-make the tortillas right in front of you, serve up fresh chunky guac, and make their iconic Mama Avila's soup fresh daily. It's rare that a soup has me hitting a stank face, but here we are. The Camarones al mojo de ajo is a can't miss appetizer. It's succulent shrimp sauteed in butter and fresh garlic, made to be eaten with the piping hot homemade tortillas. They have all the traditional Mexican dishes, my brothers go to is the chile relleno, but I always just run the fajitas. I'm sure I'll get clowned for this, but nothing heals my trauma and existential dread like a plate of sizzling fajitas. My pops has worked in the area for longer than I've been alive, so El Ranchito has seen every iteration of me, and of my family. For that, I am grateful. I'll be coming here until the wheels fall off. EL RANCHITO ALL STARS!!! IG @johnny.novo Tiktok @jnov__ Substack @johnnynovo

My favorite appetizer are the Molletes which are toasted bolillos with chorizo and bean spread topped with cheese and pico de gallo. My favorite plates are the Carne en su Jugo, which is pork in green chilli sauce, and the Albondigas beef meatball soup. The soup is plentiful and doesn't disappoint in flavor. The meatballs are tender and have a perfect flavor profile of herbs and spice. Honestly, nothing disappoints here. The Pollo in Mole is also delicious. The tortillas are fresh and hand made. The Pollo con Rajas is creamy, cheesy, flavorful and the chicken has always been juicy underneath all that sauce, cooked perfectly. I've also had the teak tacos and they're filling, tasty, and a perfectly compliment to anything you will order. The sides are usually rice and beans and they've always been perfect. The rice is soft and the beans are addicting. Javier is always warm and friendly, he does an amazing job with his restaurant. He tends to his patrons wonderfully and deserves all praise, as well as his staff. They compliment the small dining area and make you feel like you're eating at home or with family.
