Douglas Burgers have been in the same location in Maywood many years and serving great food and serving the community of Maywood and surrounding cites. Douglas Burgers have other Douglas Burgers restaurants in different cities. This Douglas Burgers restaurant interior looks like the a 70's looks keeping the past thriving today.. The restaurant sometime gets busy do to the business they from the Amazon facility just a block away and other businesses. This is my first time at Douglas but my wife have been there many time with her parents. We've there getting breakfast,we're looking the menu then decided order breakfast burrito for the both of us I decided ham in my breakfast burrito and my wife order the breakfast burrito with bacon. We enjoy the breakfast very much full of flavor in each burrito. The service was nice. Next time we need to try different items. read more

Had such a good lunch at Douglas Burger in Maywood today. We had avocado cheeseburgers with fries and onion rings and realized we easily could have split one meal because it was so much food! The burgers had the perfect ratio of avocado and bacon and were well seasoned. The onion rings seemed made in house as did the ranch dressing. Yummmm! read more

Food is good, no complaints. BUT.... Be prepared. They charge for refills, and an extra credit card charge. Post it notes everywhere for other things. Felt like I needed to read the fine print and then consult my financial advisor before buying a cheeseburger read more

Delicious burgers and their fries are my favorite. They are also pretty fast at preparing your order. I used to go to the Douglas in Long Beach all the time but then moved to the Bell area and now go to this location and the food quality is the same. I love it. read more

Stopped by Douglas for lunch today with my man and honestly this place has the best club sandwich! He got himself the bacon burger (super delicious!!!) & some chili cheese fries. The ingredients are fresh, the meat is delicious, & overall a great place to get a bite. The interior and exterior of the place could definetly use some remodeling, but it's not rundown at all whatsoever. Overall my experience here has been a pleasant one. read more

I was charged extra (the white price) for egg and hash brown 9.99 ! I refused because it wasn't worth it in this drab, hopeless looking, hot ugly establishment. I ordered fries for almost 4.00 and they were SO TASTELESS!!! I sat there and felt I was eating Cardboard with salt. I theorized they gave me a huge bottle if ketchup to convince the French fries they had flavor. Avoid at all costs. A gross rip off joint. Yuk. read more

I'm always looking for a new place to eat. So I got some Yelp finding Douglas Drive-In and after looking at the pics of the chicken salad with avocado, I had my heart set. This is not normal by the way... I am not a salad or soup type of person, but I have my moods I guess. I called in the order and they said it would take 20 minutes. I got there in 15 and had to wait another 15 minutes. I got the salad, went to my office and found that they seriously make one of the best chicken salads I've ever eaten! The chicken was delicious and tender. The dressing was so good. I'll be coming back here when I have my next healthy food craving. You wonder why 4 stars instead of 5? Well being that they said 20 minutes when it took 30... its not cool. I'm personally not under a specific time frame, but if I had a 30 minute lunch like most people, I would be pissed if 10 minutes of it was taken up by me just sitting there and waiting. I've worked across the street for two years now but have never been to the Douglas Drive-In. (There is no drive-thru, FYI). I ordered a cheeseburger with avocado, fries, and a drink. That cheeseburger was so HUGE! When I opened the bag and the wrapper, I was pleasantly surprised by the size. The burger had a good flavor and sauce. YUM! The fries are thicker cut, which I'm not a fan of, but these were actually pretty decent! I like that they were super fresh out the fryer and the outer layer was crispy. I am a fan of crispy fries, so I'd like these fries to be a bit crispier, but they were still good. They had other food that looked good, like the nachos and chicken salad. I'll have to stop bringing my lunch so I can get more food from Douglas! :) read more

Working in Vernon, there is few to choose from but this place never disappoints! I usually order the grilled chicken salad which is prepared fresh and it's my go to. Fresh chicken breast place on the grill taste great. I enjoy having my food prepared to order. Extra nom nom non. This may be a burger joint but it's got a lot to offer! They also have fried chicken which is fried in a pressure cooker = extra juicyyy. Home made chili and salsas prepared daily. If I'm feeling like a fatty I'll get pancakes. I can eat the entire menu. Don't let the outside appearance fool you, check this place out if you need a quick lunch (speaking of, I recommend calling ahead to place your order just in case). I've had several items, from egg burritos to avocado burgers, and will keep coming back. The cooks in the back are on top of their game and they keep the kitchen clean and organized! Everyone working their is friendly and you can tell they take pride in the food they make and serve. I'd definitely recommend this place over other diners in the area. read more

Ive gone on two separate occasions, it has a nice atmosphere and great service. The first time i had a bacon cheeseburger combo, the burger itself was really good for a regular burger joint. The second time i had the steak sandwich, well cooked, the meat was a bit small by comparison to other places I've been to, but had a better taste. Word of warning to those reading this review, the fries were extremely over-salted. Typically i love salty and seasoned fries but these were just way over the top. Learned my lesson and asked for no salt the second time read more

I used to eat here every other day. The food and service is great. I love the people in there, they are so nice. I don't think they have chilaquiles on their menu BUT the cook always took my order anyways. BOMB chilaquiles SPICY as hell but it's that good spicy where you can't stop eating it :D. The chili cheese fries are good, the nachos are bomb, the burger is bomb. I hardly order from here anymore, due to dieting and trying to be healthier but today I ordered some french toast, scrambled eggs, sausage and some hash brown. Honestly it was SO good. The eggs were so light, the hash brown has a perfect crunch. I couldn't finish it on my own, coworker helped me lol. It's a good place with good people and bomb food. Delicious! I got the burger special. Soda, fries and a burger which came out to like 6.50 ish after tax or somewhere around there. The burger is a great size, think famous star at Carls Jr. But better quality ingredients and fresh. The fries are the typical steak fries you get at drive in/diner style places but warm and evenly salted. I might be a regular on my gym diet cheat days. read more

I've lived in the neighborhood for about 20 something years now and I've only been here twice. The first time I came here I can honestly say I don't remember much of it, but this last time my co-worker and I came for lunch... delicious! I ordered the bacon avocado cheese burger (no onions), with small fries and a coke, man oh man, it was BOMB! The dressing they use on their burgers is very different from what I've tried. It has somewhat of a BBQ flavor, LOVE IT! The bacon was well cooked, they were not stingy with the avocado at all and the meat was well cooked also. I will totally be going back there, maybe not anytime soon, but sometime in the near future... you know, summer is around the corner so I'm in what you so call "diet" haha! read more

Again, given my options around here, this is an okay place to add to the options for lunch. Food here is decent. I'm not a fan of fried food, but their fried chicken dinner plate is good. Chicken is not dry, like other places. Plate comes with salad and a dinner roll. The chicken sandwich is good, but if you're not a fan of mayo, make sure you ask for no mayo or light mayo since they really slab that on. Unfortunately, the place kinda smells like.. sewage & you walk out smelling like fried chicken. So if you do decide to eat here, maybe get it to go. Never had a problem with parking. Everyone behind the counter has always been very nice. read more

Oooooh Weeeee! I went there yesterday,and specifically asked what kind of lettuce do you use? I was told green leaf,so I ordered a chef salad, and paid $9 for it. When I got home,there wasn't anything green at all! A bunch of yellow iceberg lettuce. To make matters worse,they used a three section to go container,and only had salad in the large section of the container. The dressings was in one of the other sections,and cheese and crackers were in the other. This was my second time going there,because I originally went for zucchini,and don't don't even sell them there. Great spot to eat for lunch! Old school spot like I'm sitting and standing around in the 90s. Cash register is vintage. Very likely to pass if you're a local since it's on Atlantic Blvd. The burgers here are really fresh and twice the size of an In-N-Out. The patty is relatively delicious for a well-done burger. Doesn't taste dry and I like the shredded lettuce as well as the sauce for the burger. Very simple! The fries is a big plus here. Probably my favorite fries because there's more potatoes compared to McDonald's and In-N-Out fries. The service and people here are very nice and friendly. They give me a nice smile and assures me whether my order is right. Always come here when I don't bring lunch to work! read more

GOT FOOD POISONING. Came here Tuesday and got the Triple Bypass Breakfast Burrito for lunch. ONLY THING I ATE ALL DAY. About two hours later started feeling body aches and a fever coming on. Left work, went home and the symptoms got SUPER STRONG! BODY ACHES - everything hurt so bad FEVER - felt super cold DIARRHEA - 5 days straight, very heavy NAUSEA - disoriented the entire 6 days HEADACHES - unrelenting WORSE SICKNESS I'VE EVER HAD IN MY ADULT LIFE.
