Clearly, I have to return to try everything else on the menu. The salad has fresh cut romaine lettuce. It is NOT a salad mix. Very flavorful, roasted corn, perfectly cooked flank steak, exactly the right amount of blue cheese crumbles so they didn't overtake the flavor of the salad. The roasted tomato vinaigrette has a smoky flavor to it that was delicious. The dressing was tossed with the salad, not in the side. Another great decision. You can tell they carefully put together their salads and it is a high quality meal. I got the large size, not the kite version and it was perfect. I ate all of it because it was so good. My servers were friendly and attentive. I'm already looking forward to my next visit. Thank you!!

Drinks came out quickly. The gin and tonic was delicious. Food followed fast and hot. I ordered the Shepherd's Pie. Comfort food done right, hearty, well seasoned, and filling. The portion was generous and I took half of it home. One friend had the stroganoff, which was rich, satisfying, and served in a solid portion. Another ordered the fish and chips with crispy batter, flaky fish, and a portion that felt fair for the price. We split the triple berry dessert to finish. Sweet without being over the top and perfect for sharing. The place was clean, well kept, and easy to get in and out of. Plenty of parking, which honestly matters. Prices felt reasonable across the board, especially for the portion sizes. We were so busy chatting that I got lost in conversation and forgot to take photos.

To my surprise, the place was packed with customers on a Sunday afternoon. I expected a slower pace, but it was anything but. The atmosphere was lively, with people playing pool and enjoying themselves. One of the unique features of this pub is a table game that many of you may not be familiar with. It's called Table Shuffleboard, and it's one of my favorites. I've played it a few times in Alaska, and it's a great game. To play, you simply request the pucks from the servers, and it's a lot of fun. I highly recommend checking it out if you're in the area. We ordered a couple of beers, which were fairly decent. I had the Irish Death, and my friend opted for some of the commercialized beers like Blue Moon. They also ordered some wings, which they said were very good. They recommended that if you want extra crispy wings, you should have them fried hard. The sweet potato fries were cold, but the bartender was quick to take care of that. She brought us a fresh batch in a matter of minutes. The customer service was excellent throughout our visit. I'm giving this pub a three out of five stars. I'd like to come back and try some of the food, especially in the game day environment. I'm a vegetarian, so I didn't eat much of the food we had, but I'll definitely come back and try it again. I'll also come at night to see how it is before I consider upgrading the rating. Overall, I'll be returning to this pub for a second experience.

She returned several times asking for refills and if we needed anything. She is definitely a gem to this business. We appreciated her professionalism and sense of humor. Food was outstanding and fresh. Can't wait to return soon. Things to know: Seat yourself Bar to the left of entrance. Main dining to right of entrance. Family friendly (crayons and color sheet for kiddos).

Our server was friendly and checked on us several times during our meal. Our meals were cooked just right, both the ribeye steak and the grilled chicken. Both meats were flavorful and moist. My chicken came covered with yummy mushrooms and onions. The meals came with a nice sized dinner salad, a roll, and either potato or mixed veggies. I chose the veggies and they were still just a tad crunchy, not mushy like you sometimes get in a restaurant. If we lived in this area, we would eat here regularly.

Yes, there are limited food options in Packwood since it's a small pass-through village without a single stop light but here's the deal, it doesn't matter. The food isn't 5-star but it's great for a dive bar. The appetizer list is extensive with plenty of options, the main menu has something for everyone (hot & cold sandwiches, burgers, wraps, steaks, and salads). Hubs is a sucker for a Reuben and devoured theirs along with the thick potato salad. Oh! And the pie, delicious. We've been here several times. There are rules of what can be played on the juke box, we enjoyed the pull-tabs, had a couple beers, and a couple cocktails. We will definitely stop here again on our way through.
