Do you want a burger with your onions?
    Luis S.

"I mean it's alright." GF's burger was chock full of onions. Mine had the peanut butter which I've gotta say was pretty good. Service was a bit all over the place. Beers arrived quick but the mozzarella sticks definitely spent way too long on the fryer. We wanted to love this place, and we did love certain things. Bar chatter is great, you can feel the heritage here. But it may just be that: a place to grab a beer, chop it up with some of the locals and bounce.

Theeeee best burger I've had in a llooonngg time! "Surely you can't be serious." Actually, I am serious....and don't call me Shirley. My guy and I came upon the Elbe Tavern and decided to give them a try. We were really lucky because it was the first day being open since the COVID restrictions lightened up a bit. Our server was really sweet and efficient. She had her baby girl in the tavern with her for a bit since she didn't have a babysitter available but no one minded at all...we were all just really happy to be there! I had the Boinker Burger and holy cow, it was amazing. My husband had the bacon cheeseburger and he said the same thing. Kudos to the cook! The burgers are cooked to perfection and really big too ~ a gorgeous shiny bun tops it off too. You honestly can't go wrong ordering a burger at Elbe Tavern. The beer and overall ambiance was exactly what we needed to finish off a fantastic lunch.

I had the burger with pineapple and bbq and my husband had the Swiss mushroom burger and they were two of the best burgers and fries ever!

I had the burger with pineapple and bbq and my husband had the Swiss mushroom burger and they were two of the best burgers we've ever had! And the fries were hand cut and were freaking delicious!!!!

This is what's left on the bacon cheeseburger. It took four napkins to keep me clean what an awesome meal.

Holy crap, I have heard about this restaurant from many people. I've heard good and I've heard bad this place rocks, the burger was a four napkin Burger, messy as all get out. The fries were awesome hand cut once fired fries with tartar sauce excellent. The onion rings so so, everything else the service, the food, definitely all of four stars

    Bacon cheeseburger, grilled onions. Amazing.

Best burgers and hand cut fries. Pizza is good if you're in it for the cheese. Philly cheese steak is also a winner! This is why I hike.

Holy cow the burgers are amazing. I think the cool coats the buns in butter. Bacon cheeseburger: HIGHLY recommended. Warning: do not ask for cherries

The Elbe Tavern is your classic dive bar. It's not much to look at and when you walk inside, there is a good chance it's going to be full of locals that are going to give you the side eye. You can sit wherever you want and the bartender was pretty quick to come around and give us a menu. My buddy and I both ordered a pint and a bacon cheeseburger. The pints were cold and tasted great. They had a nice selection of domestic and craft brews and our burgers arrived quickly. They were greasy and delicious and the fries matched. The burger was perfectly cooked and had a reasonable amount of bacon and cheese. The bun appeared to be rolled in butter which was again, very greasy, but dive bar delicious. The fries were hand cut and well salted, but could have used another couple of minutes in the fryer. Otherwise, they were delicious and the whole lunch really hit the spot. Two pints and a burger cost me $22 which was more than reasonable and I'll definitely be back. Also, the bathroom was clean. That's nice for a bar.

Great little dive bar in Elbe Wa. Beam knows how to make a burger and hsndcut fries. Stop on your way to Mt. Rainier or to White Pass.

I have never seen such great wooden architecture before in my life. There are enough seats to host large events as well as many games and books to enjoy. What's great about this place is that they have non-alcoholic beer as well as a variety of craft brewery. The bartender, Jason, was very helpful in deciding which beer to try. If you get a chance to come here, I highly recommend ordering: -Self Care "Scherler Easiest Lager" (N/A): very light, hoppy, tastes like a normal IPA, but without the buzz. It is a bit watered down in opinion, but I don't mind it. -Hourglass IIPA (8.5%): An Imperial IPA with strong pine and orange flavors, a little bitter, crisp, and fresh. Better than your typical lager. -Huckleberry Cider (6.4%): sweet, and beautiful color, a great choice for cider lovers. -"Virgin" Bloody Mary: your typical Mary, but without the booze, and a splash of Yucatán Habanero hot sauce. You can heat it up as much as you want with their variety of sauces. Packwood Brewery is a must try for any hikers or vacationers. Grab a pint, sit back, and relax after a very tiring adventure!
