Despite having a protective case and tempered glass screen protector on her phone, the front screen still shattered. In addition, the top portion of the screen was not functioning. We first used Apple's website to get an estimate for replacing the screen and it was $200. So I shopped for a lower price and found ubreakifix. Their estimate was $150 to replace the iPhone screen, but after confirming the appointment online, I received a $10 off coupon. I scheduled the appointment three days in advance. When we arrived, there was no line or anything and they said the screen replacement would take about an hour. So my daughter and I went to the mall across the street to waste an hour. When we returned, the phone had been repaired and looked brand new. All of the functionality was intact and the phone worked like new. We were very pleased and we used the coupon, paid the money and left. I would have given five stars, but I feel like even with a coupon, the service is still a bit pricey.

I spent 30 minutes at a big box store trying to explain to them I needed a very basic machine, they just couldn't grab the concept. Normally I defer to Apple direct for issues like this, I took the recommendation from Apple's site as a solid endorsement and scheduled my visit. I was pleased to find a same-day appointment available and dropped off around noon. I was pleasantly greeted and hung out while they performed a basic diagnostic. When it confirmed only the battery replacement was necessary I took my receipt and headed home. How pleased was I to have a call the next day at 2:00 telling me my computer was ready for pick up! All in all a great experience though I know I can't count on parts always arriving next day. In any case, I'll definitely check here first should I require any more Apple product service. P. S.
